It is still possible to receive mails today. Ptdf do not care about 9pm 10pm or 11pm. Only if for real they are sending it out today.

Peoples' hope has just been raised unnecessarily. Look at the turn out of the people in this forum. It is not good for one to deceive such number of hopefuls. If you don't have genuine information to pass why not remain silent.

Some people don’t understand that yet. You can get information from an insider, but at the end it might not come to light. That’s why it’s better to keep it to your self or know how to put it when giving out the information to others (do not be certain in your writing)

PTDF doesn't try for this year's selection process. Something that can be done in less than a week is taking them to eternity. They computerized the entire selection process and all that is required to shortlist applicants is just a click. But don't know why the delay. And they are expecting people to start September session. Many will be left with only option to defer the scholarship. From all indication, the list may not even come out this week and next week is August. Kai! Nigeria for us. We pray to be among the successful applicants in the end.

I am afraid it is not just by a click. Because they do go through the statements of purpose of high ranking candidates and recommended candidates by the interview panels. Sha apart from the covid era this is taking longer than usual, but I believe they will release this week.

You can email the school to give you a waiver on the application fee, tell them you're a potential ptdf candidate and awaiting their response

If that would work I guess it is fine.

Is this synonymous to FGM only?

I haven’t seen anyone choosing UK and ending up getting FGM.
But I have seen many FGM scholars that got their second or third choice after shortlisting.

I mentioned it when I opened this thread that everyone should try and get admission upfront to avoid deferment to next year.

Some people here don't even have international passport which is essential for admission and other scholarship opportunities.

PTDF won't secure admission for you.

However, visa, flight and living expenses will be actioned by PTDF.

I hope you know that PTDF can change the country a person chose. You can choose Germany and when the scholarship is out they will change it to France or Malaysia. PTDF does that all the time. So Imagine paying application fee of €100 and ending up getting a different country. To my understanding it is far better one wait for the shortlist, especially if you are for FGM.

I kid you not o. In fact, I was very surprised that I was shortlisted for this year's interview because I didn't apply. I started my application though, but I neglected it because the manuscript I was fighting for to be published couldn't be published before the application deadline. So I decided not to submit my application. I was thinking that what is the essence of submitting the same thing that I've been doing over the years without winning. The funniest thing is, my interviewer didn't even ask for any publication from me and when I asked him about publication, he said publication is no more relevant. I was very surprised.

And again, I noticed that anytime I pick an MSc course that is different from what I studied during my BSc, I won't be shortlisted for interview either for GFM/C or UK. Ptdf get mystery o. They know what they want. We only pray for favor and hope for the best.

Yess. Some people have no experience with Ptdf and some don’t make genuine research about these things. With ptdf you can only PRAY. My mate got this scholarship he doesn’t have any connect and his results are only average. After the interview he thought they won’t shortlist him because of his performance. Guess what? He received the success mail. So if you are destined for it this year no matter how bad your results you are getting it. There is no formula with ptdf.

To select best candidates, gradings come in to play.

But we should not forget politics also do a lot .

Not disputing the fact that there is corruption in some Nigerian bureaus, however, come to think of it, how can a single stakeholder get up to 10 slots for himself when each state is limited to about 4 or 5 candidates? Will he spread the slots across several other states?

May be is you that lacked idea on the selection process for PTDF scholarship sir. I could remember PTDF briefed us on their selection process during our induction last three years. Those variables that are being discussed here are the factors one needs to worry about, because if you can cross them you don't have problem, God willing. The other factors are not somethings of worry.
And even the invitation mails that were sent to the applicants stated it clearly that selection is based purely on one performance in interview. Why wouldn't people worry about their interview performance? All other things are just formalities if you get your interview very well.
May we be among the successful applicants.

Are you for real? Then lemme blow your mind. Do you know that a single stakeholder can get up to five slots? In fact I know one stake holder that got 10 slots last year.. if he decides to share it all to people from his state tell me how someone with 100% marks is going to get shortlisted? That means only his candidates are going from that state.
Do you also know that people that didn’t even register can get their hands on that slot and get selected ahead of one that registered ? Yess, you heard me ryt. I know one and he is in England as we speak.
So the issue of marks should be less of your worries. Lol
Even to that.. ask whoever you want to ask from ptdf admin.. recommendation by panelists is the most important selection criteria when it comes to merit selection. If you want get 80% of the marks someone with 50% and recommendation by his interview panel is going ahead of you.

That was then Oga. A very good o-level result is far better than first class this year. That is why everybody complain that the weight of o-level is too much. The determining factor is o-level now not class of degree.

I have been following this thread closely. And most people have no idea how ptdf do these stuffs. My brothers.. just pray and keep on praying. It is not about your waec or first class, just pray for grace. All this calculations and permutations are nothing. There is so much to ptdf selection than you think.

Double standard is what I see here. Islamic laws are truly for the poor and hoi polloi.

Then you don’t really get the rules clear. There is no rule that states a Muslim must be buried in the country where he/she dies or within 24hrs, the rule states that it is preferable to bury one as early as possible after his/her death. So it all depends on the prevailing conditions after the death. I hope this helps

Hello pals, the additional of Uk universities is now giving me headache about my options. I already have a Robert Gordon University admission for this year, but Ipf school is my first choice. I wanted to edit my application so that robert gordon could be my second choice but I realized you can only choose Uk universities as your first choice. So please I need an advice if I should change my first choice or not? Thanks
