LandMann: Those protesting today are doing so because the problems they're protesting against affects EVERY Nigerian.
I understand that government propaganda agents successful played the tribal card to dissuade Igbos in southeast of Nigeria from joining the protest because they know that the southeast has innovative ways to escalate the protest quickly to make sure the demands of the protesters are achieved.
Unfortunately, this strategy will backfire in the long-term, and it's only the politicians in southeast who are benefiting from Nigeria's current arrangement that will benefit from whatever outcome this protest leads to.
A time will come when the southeast will need the support of other regions to actualise their goal. I'm 100% sure that when that time comes, reference will be made to this era and how the southeast youths refused to support the youths of other regions to demand for an end to bad governance in Nigeria.
Consequently, the southeast will be left to perpetually fight alone.
The solution is to use social media to show support for the protests and make such support clear and visible.
If possible, defy the call by the wicked and selfish politicians in the southeast and come out to protest in solidarity with the rest of Nigeria.
Protest in your southeast states peacefully and show it to the world.
Don't listen to your politicians who have been silent while Nnamdi Kanu continues to rot in jail but the same agitator from southwest Sunday Igboho is walking free.
Don't listen to your politicians who have been part and parcel of the existing political structure in Nigeria that impoverishes people and spreads hopelessness.
Join other Nigerian youths to show the world that Igbos also want an endtobadgovernance in Nigeria
Wherever you see posts mocking those protesting today, don't join the poster in mocking the protesters. In fact, condemn the post and the poster openly and make it known that Igbos 100% support this protest and want positive change in Nigeria.
Remember, government propaganda agents may use fake Igbo identity to spread posts mocking those protesting today to make it seem Igbos are happy that others are suffering and complaining.
That is why you must counter the government propaganda agents anywhere you see their posts.
Most of them hide under fake names and identities to spread their propaganda and misinformation.
Don't allow them win. Keep doing your best to counter them. History will always remember you Ask yourself, since 1970, has any SouthEasterner occupied the position of President or Vice President of this country? So what political future are you talking about? Igbos have understood that they don't have political future in Nigeria. 2023 made it very clear. PO, not just because he's Igbo but was obviously the most competent, was clearly rigged out when it was clear that he won. Igbos don't have any political future in Nigeria. They have just understood that. So allow them be. A man on the ground fears no further fall Allow them be |

Salewa97: Na wah! The mere mention of military coup is enough to send shivers down the spine of some people.
But let’s be real, Tinubu is no novice in the game of politics. He has faced tougher storms and still stood tall. If there’s anyone that knows how to navigate the murky waters of Nigerian politics, it’s Jagaban.
Jittery? I doubt it. Instead, he’s likely strategizing and ensuring that the nation remains stable. We’ve seen how he has tackled issues head-on since assuming office.
So while some might be speculating about coups, Tinubu is busy laying the groundwork for a stronger Nigeria. Let’s keep our eyes on the ball and support the man in charge. After all, stability is key! Master of brute politics but an infant in actual governance! Exchange rate: from 600/$ to 1600/$ Petrol price from 250 to 850 Food inflation now at 40% Inflation now at 34% Security has deteriorated badly Ebin pawa now the anthem of the SouthWest These are the issues. pazienza: Nnaa leave that talk. Everyone is feeling this APC impoverishment going on. How much are you getting in business when Naira is now useless? Imagine people who have their wards schooling abroad and have to convert money they are sending to from naira to dollars or Euros.
Your customers purchasing powers are constantly being reduced by the bad economy too. Hunger dey everywhere and it's on the increase even in SE. But the good thing is that we have seen worse ie 1967-70, we expected this for APC too, and so we are better prepared to survive this storm because we anticipated it and have already seen worse before.
Other than that, the suffering touch everywhere and everyone. But we will not present our heads to be used to break any Nigerian coconut. Let the suffering continue. It's an endurance test, may the strongest survive.😀 What brand do you take? I would love to send you small thing for 1 crate Inwere uche |

We supported Tinubu in 2023 election because of his achievements/competence when he was the governor of Lagos State.
Should we be disappointed now?
Let's still keep our fingers crossed and still assume we can't feed a child suffering from kwashiorkor in a day and make him robust.
Please nobody should come and mention Obi here because we all know he was a failure in Anambra for 8 years.
If our current economy is like this under Tinubu, I wonder what it would be under a man like Obi who was a failure for 8 years in Anambra. Tinubu didn't achieve half of what PO achieved when both of them were Governors. No be by media propaganda The mistake Obi made was not publicising his giant strides in all sectors of Anambra economy like Otti is doing now while Tinubu was dishing out propaganda upon propaganda and squandering Lagos State funds. We're here to make sure that mistake is corrected by factually bringing Obi's achievements I the limelight while quashing Tinubu’s retinue of propaganda |
Education › Re: Plan To Impose Acting Vice Chancellor On UNN Busted by Samakus(m): 9:11pm On Jul 16, 2024 |
odoemelamemmanu: Plan to impose Acting Vice Chancellor on UNN busted
NSUKKA ----There is an uneasy calm at the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, UNN, following the unveiling of a plot by the outgoing Vice Chancellor, Professor Charles Igwe, to allegedly impose his choice candidate, Professor Romanus Ezeokonkwo, as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University.
It was gathered that the current Vice Chancellor, Professor Igwe, who is from Awka in Anambra State, is leaning on the support of Awka Area Association, (AAA), made up of UNN workers from Awka and the surrounding towns in Anambra State to allegedly arm-twist the Senate of the University in order to install Prof. Ezeokonkwo another AAA professor as his successor.
It was also gathered that Professor Ezeokonkwo, had enjoyed undue favours from the present Vice Chancellor, Professor Igwe, who had within five years appointed him the Director, Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development Research, CEDR; Acting Dean, School of Postgraduate Studies; and the Dean of the Postgraduate School.
It was equally learnt that in a bid to boost Professor Ezeokonkwo's chances, the Vice Chancellor equally elevated the UNN Postgraduate School to a College and also made Professor Ezeokonkwo the Provost.
As if that was not enough, our reporter learnt that he was appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor (Administration) from where he is being positioned to become the Acting Vice Chancellor at the expiration of Professor Igwe's tenure in June this year.
Having been appointed Deputy Vice Chancellor at a time the Council was not in place, it is speculated that the Minister has ratified the appointment.
This development, our reporter learnt has infuriated UNN professors and the entire university community who feel arm-twisted by the power of the Vice Chancellor and his Awka Area Association group.
A UNN professor who pleaded for anonymity on Friday said "This is totally against the will of the University professors and the entire UNN community including other UNN staff who hail from Anambra State but not from Awka area. In fact, other Anambra workers who are not from Awka area are even more embittered that the rest of the workers from other areas of Anambra, Enugu, Abia, Imo and Ebonyi States were being taken for a ride by the AAA. The other Anambra groups feel that they are being used by the members of AAA to achieve their selfish aims of perpetuating themselves in power to the detriment of other Anambra professors and workers at UNN."
Another source who also pleaded for anonymity reiterated what our reporter already found that "the current Vice Chancellor has been planning to install Prof. Ezeokonkwo as the next VC of UNN.
" In a clear succession plan, he was first appointed Director Centre for Entrepreneurship and Development Research, from there, he was made the Acting Dean, School of postgraduate studies and later, Dean of the School.
"In order to give him more advantage, they pushed for elevation of the School of Postgraduate Studies to a College and the current VC pushed the Senate to approve this and he was appointed the Provost of the College of Postgraduate Studies UNN.
"The main purpose of this action is to enable Prof. Ezeonkonkwo to earn additional points as a Provost. This was not the end, the VC again nominated him for the position of the Deputy Vice Chancellor, Administration and went ahead to impress on the Senate to ratify the nomination. The next plan of the VC and AAA is to ensure he is appointed or elected as the Acting Vice Chancellor of the University.
"Through these menacingly fast-track postings and elevations, the units got funded to enable Prof Ezeokonkwo to appear hard-working. He was funded by management to renovate CEDR and PG School that management did not consider worthy of renovation prior to his posting to those units.
"Interestingly, these appointments of Professor Ezeokonkwo from one position to another are consistently happening within a short time leaving him with little or no experience to prepare him well for the leadership of the ivory tower. In all these positions, he did not spend the stipulated number of years or tenure before he is appointed to other positions.
"More importantly, there are other well-qualified professors including the current Deputy Vice Chancellor , Academics, who coincidentally is the most senior and longest serving Deputy Vice Chancellor in the University that is eminently qualified to serve as Acting Vice Chancellor," the source said.
It was also gathered that all efforts to encourage the Vice Chancellor to support the appointment or election of a more experienced Professor as acting Vice Chancellor after his tenure received no attention by Professor Igwe and his AAA people, thereby leading to several other agitations from all quarters seeking for the leadership of the Lion’s Den as UNN is called. You can't fight grace |
