NYSC 2014 Batch A POP will hold March 2nd. With this, It's obvious that 2015 Batch A will not be March as speculated.

You've not heard of hidden link?. You ought to confirm if it is actually nysc website, which I know it is. Or speculate if the website have been hacked.

I registered during the last general election in Imo state then as an undergraduate, now I reside in Lagos. I got the news that I can actually get my pvc transferred, I quickly went to Ikeja local government first week of December to apply for it and was told to come back Jan. or Feb., hope this is not a deliberate act to disenfranchise me?.

I have earlier posted that FUTO has released her supplementary list, well its for the pre-degree candidates.
This one is for both candidates that obtained her supplementary form and for direct entry.

This is to announce that FUTO has released her 2nd
supplementary Admission list for the 2014/2015 session.
The list includes both Direct Entry and Regular UTME
candidates, who had earlier applied for supplementary
admission.
UTME Direct Entry candidates can check their admission
status as follows:
(i) Go to http://de.futo.edu.ng/student/MyResult.aspx
(ii) Enter your UTME (Jamb) Reg. No and Click on

UTME Regular candidates can check their admission

LAGOS—LEADING cement manufacturer, Dangote Cement Plc, weekend, announced drastic reduction of the prices of its cement.

The new price regime announced by the Group Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer, GMD/CEO, of Dangote Cement, Mr. Devakumar Edwin, pegged the Dangote 32.5 cement grade at N1,000 per 50 kg bag, while the higher 42.5 grade would sell for N1,150 per bag.

A statement by the company at the end of a management meeting said, however, that the new prices were exclusive of the Value Added Tax, VAT, representing about 40 per cent discount on the prevailing market price of the product currently sold for N1,700 irrespective of the grade, across the country.

Edwin said the move was in line with the company’s commitment to the nation’s dire need for the development of infrastructure and to boost the federal and state government’s ongoing effort to reduce the near 20 million housing deficit in Africa’s largest economy.

He said, “we recognize the need for an increased rapid response to the huge infrastructure and housing deficit in the country, and one of the ways of addressing the issue is bringing the price of building materials down to much more affordable levels especially cement which is within our control as part of our contribution to the transformation agenda of the Goodluck Jonathan administration and the attainment of key milestones in the Millennium Development Goals, MDGs.

“Since the commencement of the implementation of the backward integration policy for cement in the country over 12 years ago, the local production capacity of the product rose from less than three million metric tonnes per annum to about 38 million metric tonnes per annum. During the more than 12-year period of the backward integration policy, nearly $20 billion has been directly and indirectly injected into the Nigerian cement industry with Dangote Cement Plc accounting for 60 per cent of that spend.”

The GMD/CEO added that Dangote Cement Plc would continue to ensure alignment of its corporate social responsibility with its strategic business initiatives and will continue to evaluate its pricing regime in Nigeria’s best interest.

Meanwhile, the timing of the initiative has confounded industry watchers, who say that from experience, the cement market is on the verge of entering the accelerated demand phase as the raining season is tapering and the dry season which provides the opportunity for increased construction and building activities is setting in.

Don't be deceived!, FUTO supplementary admission applicaton form has come to an end as communicated earlier to be Monday, 27th October 2014.

The Vice-Chancellor has approved the sale of 2014/2015 Pre-Degree Programme Application forms as follows:
Amount per form: N7,500.00 (Seven thousand, five hundred Naira only)
Sale Points:
(a) FUTO Micro Finance Bank
(b) Diamond Bank (FUTO Branch only)
Duration of sales: October 22, 2014 to January 16, 2015
Qualification: Candidates wishing to purchase the form must:
(i) Possess at least five O’ Level credit-level passes in English Language, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and Biology or Agric Science.
(ii) Have registered or intend to register for the 2015 UTME currently ongoing at FUTO ICT CENTRE or other accredited/approved JAMB online registration centres

Wow!!!, I see you've done a little "googling", I don't dispute your finding. When you talk of Mathematics, it's mathematics. Only when you try to differentiate then you say Mathematics Education or Mathematical Science, just like mathematical science can further be divided into pure and applied. But still at that, I doubt if she is the first to obtain a Ph.D in mathematical science, whether pure or applied. I know she is the first to become a Prof. of Mathematics in UI and the third in Nigeria as a country.

Do you know what amazes me?. My lecturer who is a Prof. told us that She taught him in his Masters.

Following the resignition of The Minister of State, Education, Nyesom Wike. President Goodluck Jonathan has appointed The Minister of State I, Foreign Affairs, Prof. Viola Onwuliri as the new Minister of State, Education. Her appointment is in substantive capacity. Congrats Ma!.
