If you installed your blog on a separate folder example yourdomain.com/blog/index.php and you want to move it to become yourdomain.com/index.php. Go and to your control panel and select the domain forwarding to redirect to yourdomain.com/blog/index.php.

OR

If you've not yet installed or can delete and start afresh, while installing the blog (example WORDPRESS OR JOOMLA) from FANTASTICO (if CPanel) make sure you follow the steps comprehensively to a stage it will ask where you want to install, just include a slash(/) example yourdomain.com/ it will install into the root folder of your host.

Around the world, on average at least 5 websites are launched daily and the number is increasing due to the evolution of Online Presence everywhere. In fact this is the NET Generation, where technology births as a baby is born. Thus most of us cant even remember how to use analog devices.

In Nigeria today, so is websites in high demand from this highest organization to the list individual looking to showcase his small business. Now these demands don't SELECT they just WANT. The market is full of Developers and Designers, but when a client walks in both rush to pounce on the prey with list of achievements. And the ones with a long list get the job, or some with the connection grabs it all. But at the end, result is as it - Functionality = 97% and Design = 34% or Functionality = 42%(Broken) and Design = 90%. They preys don't mind as long as the contract is delivered.

One could ask why is this so? Well most Designers, have creative ability instill in them and lack development background while Developer (those that ate the codes from birth) have the skills on their tips but cant read images in pixels.

WE (developers and Designers) should address this issue and unite, let's change the face of Nigeria. Let they be a new breed of DEVELOSIGNERS and bring out the best in every website we launch from 2011.

The online presence today has changed. Broadband and WIFI connectivity is in our hand, we can build stunning web apps and increase productivity. With this outsourcing will reduce.

Hey guys,

I have a little issue. My login script works on my local server but when I upload it doesnt gives an error that Username and Password is incorrect. The mysql_connect() works perfectly but I dont seem to know where the problem could be coming from. Who has an idea of what am talking about.

I'll like to add to what Dual Core said by being more specific.

You have to know which server application you are using and where its root www folder is located. If you are using WAMP locate its htdocs folder or www folder in the case of other applications and create a folder and name it. Example from Dual Core mysite.

Now go to DW to new site
- Give a site name, can be anything or same with your folder name
- On the address type localhost/mysite ( or the name you named the folder you created) example http://localhost/mysite (slash doesnt matter) and next
- choose your server technology ie php mysql
- Now this is the place to note, choose Edit and test locally(my testing server is on this computer) then browse to the root folder or the www folder on your c drive. Defaultly when DW is installed the file storage location is on my documents so you have to note this.
-Next option choose Local/Network and browse to that same folder you created.

That should help you a bit.

I use Web Developer Plugin on Firefox especially for my CSS; as am coding it's appearing live, i dont need to preview.

But I flow well with Code View on Adobe DW.

Access your control Panel and look for fantastico. There will be a list of CMS and others including Joomla. Choose Wordpress. Besure that you choose a proper location to deploy the files. If its a fresh install to add any folder name.

If your host doesnt have Fantastico, you may have to install WP locally and put your contents before uploading the files. Good luck
