Title: The Summer Hikaru Died

Premise:
It follows the story of Yoshiki, a teenager in rural Japan who discovers that his friend Hikaru has died and the body has been possessed by an otherworldly entity, forcing him to navigate their changed relationship amid supernatural dangers.

It's a mixture of supernatural/horror, mystery and friendship...
The animation is also pretty good...

Broooo...My folks might be wondering why Netflix is recommending anime and Kpop related content to them for the next few weeks, but i dey on "plausible deniability" mode 👀😊.

But truth be told, shii was low key fire! ngl 😩, with a very decent soundtrack too, and the streets are saying it is one of Netflix's highest streamed media ever!, i just had to dig in fgs

I'm tired of the West whining about sportswashing when PSG wins the UCL or Wrestlemania goes to to Saudi like their countries haven't been doing heinous shit. Like they aren't funding a genocide right now. Like all brown people think the same and are the same as their governments when the truth is that the Saudis don't get to choose their leader.

Why isn't it considered selling out to do business with a country that sold drugs to its own black citizens to fund an insurrection in Nicaragua? Or a country that dumped toxic herbicides in Vietnamese forests for years which has led to to three generations of birth defects in that country? Why is it that only brown people rightfully get to be called evil?

Ahh ahh, see trailer na!! See cinematography and colours! This is probably the best looking trailer I've seen this year alongside Guillermo Del Toro's FRANKENSTEIN. That music score from Charlie XCX just gave me goosebumps. See as I dey smile dey shine teeth as I dey watch trailer. 😊😅

"pigeonholed" indeed fgs...This brother is so funny. Like he and his team vetted, and accepted roles and the massive paychecks that came with them, that actually made him one of the highest paid actors, to ever touch this industry, did he think filmmakers doling that much cash didn't know what they were doing?. They quite knew bro, had the acting range of a snail, but they knew the had a certain "aura" that was a massive BO draw, till unfortunately it wasn't, so coupled with other self destructing factors, the industry quietly eased him back into a premature oblivion...Nobody "pigeonholed" you, Big man...They quite knew, yous was only good as a "brawler" and were happy to give you that role over and over again, and any other role that required any sort of technical acting was reserved for actors with actual talent...I mean this MF, might actually be the least talented, of all the actors that pivoted from the WWE.

Now i seem to be engaging more of "The Critical Drinker's" post these days , and he did a fantastic piece on him last week or so, that succinctly encapsulates the whole thing.

"The Smashing Machine" (2025) is actually one of my most anticipated movies, the trailer looks decent, and easily looks like a script that a good actor can flex plus Benny Safdie is such an underrated indie gem filmmaker, that knows how to bring the best in actors, I mean look at what Robert Pattison did in "Good Time" (2017) and Adams Sandler in "Uncut Gems" (2019)...norm bending all timer performances from both actors in both so if DJ can't smash this, then he might be actually cooked in this industry 😩😩

who's talking about work rate. The inring action is everything combined, combat and storylines. But since it's less your thing, maybe just maybe my postulation about wrestling matches being boring to fans is true.

I'm saying if you want to rate a show, it'll be appropriate (since you claim you care about matches) at least mention all the matches. But again, you're not Dave Meltzer. That being said, if what you notice and mention more are the angles, it simply means the matches aren't exciting or aa important. Am I warm?

You enjoyed a match without a story? How is that even possible? I thought we always needed a story for a match? The E fans on the social media say to criticize AEW - "there's no story. Why are they even fighting?".
AEW contacted the WWE virus, it's about storylines now. So I'm not surprised - still rooting for them. Also I notice you're only talking angles, what about the matches? They don't matter?
