my motorised dish always stop (showin E2) intsat 901,@18w.

Method One
1. drive ur jack to zero point, that is the 'moving arm' should go inside .
2. Remove the screw attaching the jack to the dish.
3. Now turn the 'moving arm' anticlockwise and it will increase in lenght. PLS NOTE: DO NOT TURN IT TOO MUCH. 1-2 INCHES INCREASE IS OK.
4. Attach jack to dish and drive to west.it should go beyond 18w

Method Two
This is more technical
Remove cover of jack
U will see upper and lower limit switch
Adjust it carefully with screw driver

swordswifter: For those asking about the srt4930L, it's Strong's first generation Linux receiver. The fact that it's linux gives you so much freedom to experiment with it. However just like all first generation products, you can't have everything running so perfectly like all the other linux receivers that have been on the market for so long. On the other hand if you are cool with custom applications from factory, you should be ok with it since they test the softwares day in and day out. It is 3rd party applications you should be careful about.
But,......
Just like the beginnings of everything, it takes time to grow in strength. Personally if i want to go for a linux receiver, i will actually be looking forward to their second generation linux receivers. That way most complains, if there are any would have been sorted at the production line. As it is, i've not tested it too but i hope this helps.

@swordswifter, pls what is your take on strong 4930 L. On strong site it is said to linux. Your opinion is needed

@ sammu, i did what u told me to do-i track w3a@7east first& put d freq. I move slow toward amos 17.yet i was unable to get it.i used positioner & jack to do it,no result sir.pls is ther any other way.tanx

No. There is no other way to track on a motorised dish. What we consider now is 1. your dish size, 2 lnb type in use. 3 dish alignment.
I know yur dish is 1.8m. answer to 2&3 may bring up ur hotbird

@ jacob2012, the sat u tracked is not hotbird but intelsat 10-02 c band @ 1west.
I guess ur dish has cband lnb.
For u to track Hotbird@13east, first go to lyngsat.com and write down some hotbird frequencies. Then track w3a@7east with 12728 H 30000. When u hit green, input the hotbird freq and move slowly further east. u should hit green on hotbird.
Pls ensure u use the KU lnb if u are on diseqc switch. Hope this helps
