I assume you are new to FTA,50K budget may not give you anything better than dztv. State your area of interest and you will be guided accordingly.

What you need is another 4935 or 4940 that work with mytv smartcard. 4955 series do not accept card

Blind scan/ Scan tp 12722 H 30000 on IS20 @68E for some goodies. Cheers.

Re-scan or blind scan your TS*V for additional channels

Sorry I don't have a pix at hand. But its quite easy to add tstv on top of nigcomsat. First, track nigcomsat and tighten up. Second, get another lnb with cable connected to your sat finder. Just place this lnb on top of the already tracked
nigcomsat lnb and shift around a bit to maximize signal. Cheers

You are on nigcomsat. Add another LNB on top to get tstv. Then your gr*NDE sports will come up with better signal

The size of your dish determine to some extent the channels you will receive. Also the satellite tracked will determine the kind of channels.
Tell us the dish size and not just dstv dish,
and some channels you are receiving

Yes you can get all FTA channels with this box. Tstv, nigcomsat, 28e, 16e etc

Check the Tigerstar series. Some of its T series are well supported and affordable

Uniquesat 2090 is China box for FTA and some freebies. I'm not sure of software support online

Permit me to draw our attention to the following due to my observations:
1. If a transponder TP (frequency) is posted as 11334 h/v - 12654 h/v means KU BAND (5digits);
3000 h/v - 4065 h/v means C BAND (4 digits)

2. Factors to consider before purchasing a decoder:
A. The purpose you want the box to serve
B. Software and after sales support (preferably a dedicated website)
C. HEVC H265
D. 4K
E. IPTV
F. CS functions
G. AUTOROLL functions
Even if you are buying An Hybrid box (Android+satellite receiver), the above factors apply. You will notice I have not mentioned any Brand Name.
More suggestions are welcome

This is what is called "China Box". It is good for simple FTA. But may not have software support. For you to maximize the benefits of FTA, I suggest you go for decoders with software support and other freebies. I hope u will decode my advice

Friends please i need help, i bought a new decoder SRT 4954 on Wednesday and on getting home and adding channels, the decoder does not always respond to the remote, it keeps hanging, i returned it on Thursday and d tested it but nothing of such happened though d only test with one network but i have 3 in 1 set up via a disec switch. The installer d sellers called to ask what could be the cause said is load and that is normal and that also maybe i didn't set it up well and he had to factory reset it and promised it won't happen again.

On reaching home, i inputed my 3 satellites freuencies and blind scan using different network and up til now, the hanging continues down to even volume adjustment. I have called my personal installer to come and set it up himself, so he says Monday.

But i want to ask, what could be the probable cause? is the decoder or remote faulty or could it be my disec switch or there is something am not doing right? this issue is freaking me.

Never experienced it before on my SRT 4922. Mtcheeew
