And he bill me: Str4922A #13000, dish 90cm #5000, dish 60 cm #4000,3 lnb #3000,1 bundle of cable #1000, diceq #500(I have forgotten the spellings) and workmanship #3500. and he said I should pay #29000 in total of everything.so pls my boss I think his bill is high. Am thinking of given him #26000.so what do u think? .NOTE : my location Osogbo. Peace.

My friend, these prices are way too high. This forum encourages do it urself. Even if u are not able to track sats by urself now, u can atleast go to sat shop in oshogbo and get the needed equipments.
In port harcourt where things are very expensive, 90cm is sold with lnb for 3;500. 60cm dish is sold with lnb for 2500. Here in lagos, 60cm dish is 1200, lnb is btw 400-700 . 90cm dish is 2500-3000, 1m dish 3500 - 4000.
4922a is 10500
So u can use info gathered here to get a fair bargain in ur location.

My 1.8m motorised dish carry 2 cband lnbs: Di electric Cband with teflon plate inside the throat and Non dielectric cband without the plate.
The dielectric receives all c band sats that frequnces in L or R converting it to H or V as applicable. Majority of cband sats fall into this category
The non dielectric cband receives sats with V or H. eg intelsat 20cband, apstar,

I have nailed Amos with my 60 cm dish.
Are the Mbc HD on Badr free?
Pls reply me with the easiest ways of tracking the birds using 60 cm dish

Add lnb ontop of ur amos to get badr 5.

These tps belong to badr5@26e. If u align ur lnb properly, u will receive these tps with ur multitv@ 28e.
Method: track multitv first. Peak ur signal then move ur dish upwards and reduce ur signal by say 5%. Badr tps will pop green. just try it.

@jacob2012, u mentioned that ur cband lnb is working. Then run a cable from ur ku lnb direct to ur decoder that is, bypassing the diseqc switch. If it works change diseqc

Were u trying to set up a multi-lnb dish or u just re-aligned ur dish for better performance?
Anyway retrack ur amos/16e with 12216 v 27500. Pick the signal and ur ait should turn green. Cheers

The sats u mentioned are di electric c band sats and as such u need dielectric cband lnb.
Since ur dish size is 1.8m, ur cband lnb must be at the prime focus to get the sats as their frquency signals are low.
In ur case, i perceive the ur cband lnb is offse, that may explain ur inability to pick the signals.

Check the wires again with the help of a meter. Again check that remote control is ok. If above is not the problem then try this:
1. have someone inside the house to press the remote control while u check the jack. If the jack cranks and it is not moving that means the moving arm has jammed inside.
2. SO. Remove the jack box (that is lower part of jack that carry the motor, it is attached to pipe by 14'' nut screw)u will see moving stud, use plier to turn it until dish start to move. Now carefully replace the motor box.
