Politics › Re: I Hereby Tender My Resignation by Sammy07: 10:41pm On Feb 10, 2023 |
Corrinthians: I, Corrinthians, would like to tender my resignation from tribal, religious, racial, or regional e-brawls from now till the end of my sojourn on this great forum.
I have come to the realization that the things we do and say here have real impact on our daily lives outside the forum. I have come to develop a prejudice against people whom I do not know personally due to the conduct of those who share common tribe with them around here. This is not who I am, and this isn't who I want to be.
It is my firm belief that we all share a common interest for a better country, a country where no consideration is given to one's tribe, religion, or region for one to get what they're duly qualified for. A country where justice doesn't favour only the high and mighty but is available even to the people at the bottom of the food chain.
In light of this, I tender my unreserved apologies to all whom I might have hurt with my insensitivity and unkind words.
It must be stated that I wasn't motivated by any ulterior motive to do this. I simply had a very quiet time away from everything few moments ago, considered the endless animosity between our tribes and wondered "who are the greatest beneficiaries of this, certainly not me or any member of my family".
It just isn't worth it anymore.
I enjoin others to reconsider their attitude here and make redress where necessary.
I expect a good measure of insults to accompany this thread, but it's all good. I've taken a bow and I'm not returning to that realm anymore.
Cheers.
God bless Nigeria and Nairaland.💗 Congratulations ♥️ |

However, who else noticed how dirty and unkempt the environment looks?
When I say Lagos is a very thick dirty slum, some people will think I'm joking. See how the place looks like village lol someone from Benin, Edo State, is telling Lagosians that, Lagos is dirty and a village. If not for See finish, Edo developed reach Osun? You don't have more road network than Osun You don't enjoy light reach Osun. Apart from Benin, no where developed reach Ile ife or Ilesa in Edo State, y'all have average towns Like Ikirun or Ikire. You don't have sound or strong institutions reach Osun You don't have more prominent people pass Osun (even though you have quite few) Benin language that is restricted to 4 local government ONLY. Better goan siddon somewhere and enjoy your Obaseki in peace No be ring road, airport road, GRA we dey talk about |

Now, I want you guys to put your money where your mouth is, Peter Obi will win SE landslide and Tinubu won't get anything reasonable. I'm ready to bet with 200k
Which urchin is ready to challenge me?
Enough of your useless propaganda, now is time to stake your money if e sure for you.
Another bet is that Peter Obi will win SE, SS and NC including Abuja! I'm ready to bet another 200k for this.
Election is just a matter of days, so we get escrow and make transfer. How do we start? 200k each. 1. Apart from Lagos, Obi will not have 500k votes in South West combined 2. Obi will not win this election, Tinubu will win |

3ple9iner: You definitely can't use that to judge LASTMA, the population of Lagos in the 90s is not same as now but the land area has always remained the same. This is the reason why one would have to give credit to Tinubu for envisioning the LFTZ and EKO Atlantic. But still, without LASTMA, Lagos traffic would have been a warzone. And Lagos pays the highest minimum wage in the country and there is likely hood for it to be increased soon. I think Lagos pays 40k minimum wage? |

vhykeeytor: Why are you asking me, have you verified Tinubu claim of neighborhood watch...that started during Ambode. Besides, we have vigilante long before Tinubu came, forget the nomenclature he gave to them. What are the benefits of LCDA....still yet, there are no pipeborne water in most houses in Lagos State. And the LCDA are they autonomous?
Every state can't be like Lagos... Lagos was the dirtiest state when Tinubu created LAWMA and they have improved on the cleanest of the state. I can't see the effort of LASTMA on the roads because the travel time from Ikorodu to Lagos Island has increased significantly from what it use to be in the 90s to what it's today.
Another question who should ask ourselves, is how much are these people being paid...is their salary enough to take them home, compared to the life pension Tinubu signed into law for himself? You've diverted. 1. I wanted to verify your if actually Obi started those. It remember aregbe pay elderly people, that's why I'm asking the year. 2. We are not saying every state should be Lagos State okay? The challenge is open. Nothing like flyover during Tinubu era. Most focus on roads and social amenities And most governor in Nigeria didn't built bridges between 1999 to 2007. You can prove me wrong. Tinubu built 1 bridge but not flyover |

vhykeeytor: 1. The first governor to pay elderly people above 60years stipend monthly.
2. The first governor that removed his state universities under ASUU that they don't go on strike... Lagos and Delta State too have copied it 3. The first governor that collaborated with Bank of Industry to give soft loan to entrepreneurs from Anambra state.
[s] 4. The first governor to give one million naira to first class graduates from Anambra state to improve their desire for knowledge. Federal govt under Jonathan copied it with the YOUWIN but in a different context. [/s]
The first governor to buy laptops and give to students in secondary school. To improve their digital skill. Today have more ibos on the internet is not a coincidence. Aregbesola also copied it, but distributed Ipad instead...Lagos State is current doing it now.
[s] The first governor to buy school buses for all schools in the state. I once taught in Lagos State secondary school. 80% doesn't have school buses. [/s]
I can go on and on and on...but let me stop here. Really? What year is No 1? What year did he removed No 2? No 5. Did he bought laptop for all the students in the states? You're on track if you can answer the questions up there |

However in his defense, he mentioned the APC Presidential Candidate Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu Polices when he was the Governor of Lagos State. 2. Most of us supporting @officialABAT are doing so based on his novel policies in governance that has been adopted by 89% of states in Nigeria including opposition states and we strongly believe he has more that would transform governance at the national level 3. Some of his policies adopted by most states are:
1). Tax reforms he introduced with the reform of the LBIR that grew Lagos tax to N25bn . Alfa Bata the company they claim he owns now operates in over 7 states outside Lagos and his tax policy over 80% of states adopted it 4. (2) More States including 10 opposition states have passed Tinubus policy on Public Defender he initiated as Governor of Lagos State.
(3) 15 States has passed Tinubu initiative and policy of LASAA which helped in improving Local Government revenue from Advert 5. (4) 16 State has equally copied his initiative on state own traffic control agency called LATSMA @officialABAT introduced as Governor of Lagos State.
(5) Judicial reform of paying Judges extra has been adopted by most states and has become a national revolution 6. (6) Payment of WAEC for students has been adopted by some States in Nigeria . @officialABAT initiated this policy in Nigeria.
(7) Creation of Local Government Development Authorities was another novel policy of Jagaban the genius that some states has adopted in Nigeria. 7. ( . Return of schools to missionaries is another policy that @officialABAT introduced that most states adopted including @PeterObi as Governor of Anambra State .
(9). Introduction of Geographic Information System (GIS) was introduced by BAT and most states have adopted it. 8. . (10). Lagos State under @officialABAT is on record to have started the Neighbourhood Watch,a community security outfit that helps to protect the entire community from crime that 90% of states has adopted today in Nigeria . (11) First to Introduce Security Trust Fund in Nigeria 9. There are more policies he introduced but I have mentioned just (11) a few and will be delighted if any Obident can pick up the challenge above by mentioning just four their candidate initiated as Governor and has been adopted by other states? |
