I am 100% in support of the reduction of the automotive tariff rate. This is just like a case of closing the boarding in order for our local industries to grow and sell locally which never worked. Let our local manufacturer produce cars that are cheap and competitive enough and see if we will not patronise them.

Phones › Re: How Did I Get The NIN Without Registration? by sammyj: 9:09am On Dec 21, 2020
Through your BVN. If you have registered BVN with NIBSS through bank, you are automatically assigned a NIN number based on the consolidation of databases accross sectors in Nigeria
Estrella366:
Hello Nairalander, I would like to know the circumstances that could make it possible for a person who is yet to visit any of the NIMC offices or outlets either online or offline for the purpose of registering for the NIN get the NIN?

I have never made any prior efforts to register for the NIN stuff, however out of curiosity I tried entering the NIMC's NIN registration verification code *346# via my Etisalat phone number and to my surprise the system returned a positive answer with an eleven digit NIN.

So what are the possible technical reasons for this?

Thanks for your suggested answers.

Update##
I tried to see if I could verify the number on the NIMC website and di scovered that the site is down with message reading indicating "FORBIDDEN "black black bla

With the way people are migrating out of the country, I don't think we will have up to 5% of the people living in the country in the next two years under this slowspoke government. Just imagine the way and manner the country is loosing human resource control to other countries. Qualified People that are meant to develop Nigeria are moving out to develop other countries at the expense of poor leadership and nepotism. shocked shocked shocked
