Great, but your approach is just a mere summary. I am currently building amazon niche site on fitness niche. I plan adding digital products on the long run.
The first n most important thing in building a money site is market research and then keyword research. I use long tail pro, SEMrush, MOZ and Google AdWords tool for this. you need to find a very low competition keyword with high search volume of at least 1000 local monthly search. Thereafter, you need to start building quality backlinks which you give your site credibility on Google serp.

it'a not an easy project, but any serious person can start earning $500. and more within 6months of lunching your site. You can outsource some of the work like review articles and backlinking.

You can sell your site off on filppa when it starts earning money on autopilot. Normally, selling money site is worth 20 X what it earns monthly.

For those that can't get free targeted traffic and can't afford to taste those expensive traffic source, here is something to start with; 10k real visitors from USA @2k or 2500 visit per day for $15 or $13 for worldwide visit. @op we have like minds for 2016. Am going for foodstuff if u ask me. get sales girls. make sure u at least follow up with reports daily. maybe every evening. foodstuffs is easy to supervise. You should already know how many rubbers/modules are in a bag of rice or garri and at the end of selling a bag, the price should balance. you should already know how much profit will come out minimum from a bag of rice. carton of indomie or carton of tin tomato. so to me, foodstuffs is more easier to supervise and account for each sales. Afterall everyone MUST eats daily in form of rice/beans/garri/flour
