First, Dangote & co will be building roads that serve their interests. Roads heading to their companies, oil fields, ports etc. Dont expect them to build roads in Shomolu or Makoko.

Second, aside from furthering the interests of the rich, this plan will simultaneously be denying the govt revenue it needs to develop underdeveloped areas.

Third, nothing could prevent Dangote from inflating the cost of the roads he constructs. He can simply quote double the price and tell Buahahari to deduct the same from his taxes. Same goes for sourcing materials and road quality. He can simply source materials cheaply but quote the highest market price to gain leverage.

He is helping you diversify corruption, in line with the govts diversification push[/s].
