Carmit: Been doing some reading on the bolded texts. So much for Equality. “Unfortunately, we must... confront a shocking truth: the real matric pass rate is 37.6% if you include the number of 2016 Grade 10s who (did not write) matric in 2018,” said the DA’s shadow minister of basic education, Nomsa Marchesi.
“These Grade 10s should be celebrating with other matriculants, but more than half didn’t write matric in the expected time frame. This means only 37.6% of these Grade 10s passed matric. The others have either become stuck in a struggling education system, repeating grades, or worse, dropped out of the system completely.”
The UCT paper, Progress through school and the determinants of school dropout in South Africa, found that coloured, followed by black pupils, were most likely to drop out of school.
White and Indian children were less likely to leave school before matric.
Lol what a shame |

As for the ever busy Ikeja City Mall, Ikeja, findings by CobraReview reveals it is owned by the Broll Services Limited, a South African commercial property services company established by Malcolm Horne. Although, Broll Services Limited is a South African Company, but the popular Ikeja City Mall is controlled by its annex company in Nigeria, Broll Nigeria, and its CEO, Mr Bolaji Edu, who is a Nigerian Real Estate professional.

TayserMahrii: Daangote has no plans to transfer to public. He will build a refinery then buy all the wells in Nigeria. Then you will be purchasing all your oil from him...from okada, to generator to private cars to the yellow vans to jet fuel, cooking fat,,, etc... everything oil-related in Nigeria will be from his shop at his chosen price. He has plans to transfer his built roads to the public...it is based on build, operate and transfer.... Why should he transfer his refinery to the public?...the Saudi refinery in India will not and will never be transferred to the govt...it is simply business... So once again what is your point... |

Right to some extent/ But when it gets to the level where individuals build roads and refineries, then there is no point having a govt. Road and infastructures in Europe was built through build, operate and transfer...it was carried out by the private sector...so what is your point again.. Saudi Arabia are have a proposed refinery for south Africa and one for nigeria....Isin't that called private investment....so what is your point again... forgiveness: 6 Nigerian cities made the top 1000 global startup ecosystem cities in Africa. Lagos top the list.
How many Kenyan's city made the list? Only Nairobi.
Lagos emerges best startup’s ecosystem in Africa
By Adeyemi Adepetun | 29 January 2020 | 4:16 am
SOURCE: STARTUP BLINK
Lagos has emerged as the best startup’s ecosystem in Africa. It ranked ahead of Nairobi (Kenya), and Cape Town (South Africa).
According to StartupBlink’s 2019 Global Startup Ecosystem Rankings report that analyses startup ecosystems in 1,000 cities and 100 countries, Lagos has the best startup ecosystem in Africa, followed by Nairobi and Cape Town.
Lagos polled 8.044, and ranked 99, ahead of Nairobi (7.918), which ranked 105. Cape Town is third in Africa (7.527), at 157th position globally. Cairo (7.177) is 177th position; Tunis (6.712) is 223; Kigali (6.19) 232; Accra (3.983) 244; Johannesburg (3.417) 248; Kampala (3.196) 279; and Casablanca (3.195) at 284 globally.
The report noted that Lagos, jumped 120 spots to 99th, and is now a top 100 city! Two other cities, Abuja and Ikeja have increased by 143 and 354 spots, respectively, and Ikeja has placed itself in the top three nationally after moving up two positions since 2017. Port Harcourt (653rd) has also made its first. I keep asking this question and I would be honoured if only one SAns, just one atleast can come up an tell me why Lagos with its supposedly slummish, shiity infastructure as they scream is constantly kicking the asses of their supposedly world class, infastructurally developed city...lol most especially that best city in the world "Cape town" It would be a shame for Lagos to surpass new York,London, Tokyo in this things.... truly SA is going down and they are vivid underachievers mostly the cursed black race...smh |

JaceBlaze: LMAO.Your analyses are flawed from all angles.America has confirmed over 245 000 cases with a over 6000 deaths.Does that mean you're better prepared than America? .Malawi just recorded its first case of Covid-19.If we're to go by your analysis then it means a country like Malawi has better medical facilities than South Africa? or the countries on the data below?
I hear there are people in Nigeria who don't believe the desease even exists, which means such ignorant people won't test.So how sure are you that the number is not higher than what you put here?
We're soon to do door to door tests,so trust me,we are better prepared than you. Nice try ...we can't rule out incompetence on those countries...just because it is America or UK doesn't mean they shouldn't be judged....in that case their healthcare system was useless just as yours was... If you even look at it from the other side, those countries has excuses to cling to...they have more aged population than SA by a long margin and we all know the virus is more lethal to older individuals... |
