They can take it as serious as they want, the fact is they have no capacity to deal wih a serious viral pandemic.

The only reason why Africa, specifically West and Central Africa haven't been hit so hard by the corona virus is because of 2 reasons....niether has anything to do with the actual capacity to deal with a pandemic like covid19.

1. Probably the biggest reason, climate, the covid19 virus doesn't like hot climates.

2. Nigeria doesn't receive nearly the amount of international visitors as for example SA hence the chances of international visitors bringing the virus into the country is much less
