The gap between the rich and poor is extremely wide...the video says it all..

In Lagos both rich and poor can integrate in the same neighbourhood...but that is not the case in Kenya..

Ghana like Nigeria has integrated slums - the town is slummish - there is no clear divide btw slums and non-slums. There is a lack of urban planning.

Outside , mathare, KIBERA, korogocho, kwangare and many more.....most neighbours Nairobi in are overrate jungle slum with no order probably due to maintainance.....most of this house was built in the 90's but they were let to rot and dilapidate to a slum, although it cannot be compared to KIBERA an the rest but then it is still an integrated slum..

Now I understand Ghana, like a drunken sailor, whenever commodities prices are high (Gold, Diamond, Cocoa, Aluminum, Bauxite, Oil & Gas ) Ghana goes into massive public expenditure and borrowing, and a few years later the prices drop, the country literally goes broke, hyperinflation sets in, and IMF comes calling with AUSTERITY MEASURES.

Projects are abandoned mid-way, civil servants are fired, the usual tightening of the belt. Then commodity prices rise again, Ghana rises like a Phoenix again, starts over-spending & over-leveraging (borrowing), and soon it's back to ICU.

This is they have done a record 16 times.

Conclusion. Ghana is a primitive undeveloped economy led by morons.You can re-phrase to Ghana is an Informal economy led by political neanderthals.

Now that commodities are doing good - they are even thinking of borrowing 50B dollars - and when prices drop (and they do) - the country will sink - hyperinflation - will send Ghanians scampering out of the country like Zimbwabweans.

I don't do skyscrapercity, I visit the project site and communicate with the developers if I have to...Nigerian user are not like nairobi user who are willing to sneak into site just to get images and post on skyscrapercity.

Construction in ekos tkabtic started 5 years ago sand reclamation takes time and that is something that Dubai didn't really have to deal with also we had the recession in between which slowed down the construction works there for the rest of the cities like enyimba economic city, orange island and awka millennium city their problem is funding

EYIMBA ECONOMIC CITY is a big project and has partial funding from the Chinese, the rest will have to come from either the govt or private sector....Work has started there but then I doubt if they've gone past horizontal infastructure (it started this year)....The governor of Abia returned from Johannesburg last week with more funds from the project during the Africa investment week or forum whatever....
As for orange island you can't say funding cos that project started in 2017 and prior to their last video which I have uploaded here, one could see land reclamation has been finalized with road construction which was vividly shown in that video...

Awka millennium city started two months ago and have all the funded need for the project cos it is not even so much of a project to begin with....

I track all this city project on social media for info and oftentimes communicate with some of their developers
