tylann:I think you are dreaming seriously. Going by what your second deluded brother said kenya should be around 200+ by 2028 which is not up to what egypt currently his and even egypt is expected to grow by 5.8% this year while your is still struggling with 5.6%. By 2025 your neocolonialism should have started taking a better part of kenya which will slip you into recession. Your debt can be amazing you know. You can never reach that height you are aiming . You are resourcesless remember. |
theenchanter:Yes. I remembered when he explored dar es salaam brt and addis Ababa light rails. The dude is amazing. He might move to abuja next.who knows |
rvp20182:I had to reply this again cause I did not take the bolder into consideration earlier. So you have sufficed it to say you will become africa largest economy in 2028. Oh lord help me with my ribs. These comedian has got cool jokes |

You must be high to think you can surpass morroco let alone Algeria and egypt( I am laughing seriously )Like I said Algeria is diversify it economy as we speak and don't forget that oil price can go up in the midst of these your wild dreams and we nigeria is committed to making that happen come 2023 using dangote refinery, nigeria lng train 7 and the rest. So forget ever surpassing morroco let alone Algeria cause we would save them from your debt filled overcooked gdp. Worry about going down with your heavy debt . tylann:Nonsense in your dreams.overtake us in per capita income let us see |
TayserMahri:@bolder may be to you guys but to the rest of the world we are and it's no joke cause it the reality. Nigeria is going through a phase now sure but what gives us hope is the amazing sectors that coming on board and the plans we have ahead. Just the same way you think kenya is heading to the top it's also the same way NIGERIA is heading to the top. As for 2080 yes by then the entire continent should be developed. Haven't you heard of the sentences that say "AFRICA IS THE FUTURE , ASIA IS THE PRESENT BUT EUROPE IS THE PAST ". That because africa is the youngest continent in the world with more than half of its population being at the age of 30 years and below |
Problemkid1:Yeah sure uyo roads are wonderful. Uyo is also freaking clean This is what I call greenery not forest |
Problemkid1:Abuja is beautiful. The first pics looks like table mountain cape town ![]() |
Problemkid1:As at last year it was 23.10% it has reduced slightly this year |
Kazikazi:That should be pokot right |
Problemkid1:At all ![]() |
tylann:I honestly don't see any reason why I should be jealous. It not as if it has added anything to your gdp. Like I said it just a mere award be it wooden or glassy. As four our tourism we have privatised some of our parks, resort, and also we are building our standard world class safari at centenary city through the help of some white south africa company |
tylann:Whatever... don't ask us what we have done with our oil cause you haven't done any better with your resourceless land. So what are your govt plans to develop your resourceless land |
Problemkid1:Don't go googling randomly, you won't get a reputable source. A deeper search will suffice Kenya unemployment rate currently sit at 40% |
Problemkid1:I don't know why they are so fanatic But that award..it not as if it has boosted their gdp. It's just a mere award |
TayserMahri:. Nigeria has always known as an oil destination but the govt is trying to also make it a minning destination that can be recognised by the world. Since last year govt have been on the move all over the world looking for investors to invest in our minning sector and last time I checked about 7 foreign companies and local companies are establishing their minning company down here . This can only tell you one thing that the sector is been "privatised".which means it would have effect on the lives of ordinary nigerians. Now let move to oil. You asked me what we have done with our oil, let me answer that by saying that over the last 40 years oil has been controlled by our government and not the private sector which tells you that our wealth has been on the hands of corrupt officials who are only interested in their pockets. All this years we ignored repairing our four refinery due to corruption and also ignored the gas sector that would have saved us now that oil price is down. But still nigeria is the largest economy in africa despite the fact that it's oil has been the only source of income and it's still remit alot of cash to get refined oil along side the ignorance of the gas sector. Now I ask you if oil laced with corruption alone could make us the largest economy what happens when we include the gas sector which has now been privatised alongside oil sector (DANGOTE REFINERY, SAUDI ARABIA REFINERY, NIGERIA LNG TRAIN 7) let's not forget minning sector, manufacturing sector, agriculturAl sector, aviation, telecommunications, banking sector and many more. Instead of asking us that jealous question of what we have done with our oil, why not ask yourself what kenya has done with it resourcesless land all this years. Let me cite Singapore as an example. Singapore is also a resourceless country just like kenya and it had 95% of it population living in poverty after its independence in the year 1965. It was also colonised just like kenya but developed itself over the years to become one of Asia pride, I mean with a population of just 4million it's has a gdp of over $300bn plus while Kenya with a population of 50million has just $89bn. Kenya has more chances at being greater than Singapore because if it's population and young workforce. That the reason why i laugh when you guys attach success story to kenya cause those two words does not go along with what kenya currently is. So I ask you MR TAYER what have you also done with your resourcesless land? |
More on our mineral resourcess ![]() MARITIME FG to establish port for solid mineral shipment Published April 25, 2019 Anna Okon The Federal Government has commenced moves to rehabilitate the old Burutu port in Delta State and dedicate it to shipment of solid mineral. The Managing Director, Nigeria Export and Import Bank, Mr Abubakar Bello, gave this indication at a recent stakeholders’ meeting on the cessation of Cabotage waivers. According to the NEXIM bank chief, Nigerian importers have challenges moving their bulk cargoes to their place of use. Bello who was represented by his Special Assistant, Mr Hope Yongo, said that most of these cargoes were in millions of tonnage kept around the River Niger. He said, “So what we did was to look around and see how we could deepen the inland waterways so that we can use barges to move them. “We discovered that there is an abandoned port somewhere in Burutu, it is one of the first ports in Nigeria and it is lying fallow. “So we are partnering with the owner to convert it to a solid mineral port.” He said the bank was considering moving solid minerals like coal, iron Ore, lime stone and the rest through the port. Bello explained that although the bank had been involved in the project over the past five years, it was busy developing the inland waterways in preparation for the movement of the cargoes. On how soon they hope to commence operation, Bello said that before the end of the year, the Burutu port should be ready for use. The Federal Government has also developed new mineral export guidelines to ensure accurate data of mineral exports. The Minister of State for Mines and Steel Development, Bwari Abubakar, who spoke through his Special Assistant on Technical Matters, Mr Henry Davies, during a mining summit in Lagos, also disclosed that along with the guidelines, the government had decided to reduce the time for processing of mineral export permits from two weeks to two days. “We have also created an Investment Promotion and Trade department in the ministry to ensure smooth transaction throughout the solid mineral value chain,” he said. |
God has blessed these west african country called Nigeria with abundant mineral resources but it a shame that we chose to ride on the back of oil only, therby ignoring other sectors like gas sector and minning sector but hope seems to have come as the federal government of nigeria has embarked on a journey to locate and discover new mineral in nigeria, and trust me it has been a success so far . Just read and enjoy FG Discovers High Quality Platinum Mineral In Niger By ADEMOKOYA TEMIDAYO - 2 months ago The Federal Government say it has discovered high quality of platinum group elements in a village in Niger. Alhaji Abubakar Bwari, the Minister of State, Mines and Steel Development, announced this on Monday at the groundbreaking ceremony of AG Vision Mining Site in Suleja Local Government Area of the state. Bwari said that the large mineral deposit was discovered at Kuchiko village in Suleja. He added that the quality of the discovery was higher than that of South Africa, regarded as the highest deposit of the mineral in the world. “A preliminary report by the company shows high deposit of minerals we are looking for. “From what we have seen, the results are quite encouraging. The platinum group they have seen so far, the quality we have is higher than that of South Africa. And they are world largest producer of platinum group metal. “That goes to show that Nigeria is highly endowed with this mineral. But what we are looking for now is the commercial viability of the mineral,’’ he said. He said that the discovery was made by AG Vision Mining, awarded the exploration project in 2018. He said that the Federal Government had earmarked N15 billion for exploration of minerals in Nigeria to generate detailed geoscience data of quality and quantity of available minerals in the country. He said the project aimed at addressing one of the key challenges in the development of the solid minerals sector, which was the absence of bankable mineral data. “No investor will take us seriously if we are unable to provide the kind of accurate, verifiable data that speaks to both the quality of mineral we have in Nigeria. “This project is the biggest exploration activity of its kind ever embarked upon by the ministry,” he said. According to him, the project is domiciled in the Nigerian Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) and it is being supervised by the MMSD, it is also funded through the Natural Resources Fund. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the N15 billion was drawn from the Natural Resource Development Fund to the ministry as intervention fund to focus on exploration which is the heart of mining. He said that the project was designed to be executed and funded in phases, from the desktop studies, geological mapping among others. The state minister said that all exploration companies and consultants handling exploration projects should provide reports at the end of each project phase. “The objective of the project is not limited to the generation of detailed geoscience information like ore reserves, mineral occurrences, discovery and reporting of new minerals, quality and grade of ore and minerals. “The objective is to also improve the geological knowledge of the locality, generate wealth and employment along value chain; the outcome of the project will be used for policy and research purpose.” Dr Abubakar Mua’zu, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry said that the project was timely as it would attract more mining investors into the country. Dr Abdulrazak Garba, the Director-General, Nigeria Geological Survey Agency (NGSA) said the project was initiated to bridge the gap between exploration data and mining development. Garba said the project was also designed to know locations of minerals such as gold, lead and zinc, silver, copper, tantalite among others in Nigeria. Mr Fadi Ghazale, the Managing-Director, AG Vision Mining said the event was another landmark in the roadmap towards development of Nigeria’s solid minerals industry. According to Ghazale, AG vision mining is currently exploring in many states, such as Niger, Ogun and Oyo states. (NAN) ![]() |
