After the Spanish Island of Mallorca modernized their MGR line to modern electrified - kenya acquired their old DMUS. Saudi Arabia, France, Argentina are amongst other countries that bought the DMUs.
The DMUs are finally on the way. pics below they are being loaded onto trucks in Mallorca enroute to Barcelona and from where they will be shipped to Mombasa on the 21st of July 2020 & arrive 25 days later.
Nairobi commute rail carries 15k passengers daily - and with acquisition of DMUS - we will hit 135k passengers daily.
At which point - we will enough to justify a proper modern light/metro line in Nairobi.
You are still on to this commuter trash.... Nigga let your country do some upgrade.
Uhmmm NO.stop lying that isnt what you told me..even though what he is saying is just as ignorant and nonsensical as it gets, your rubbish was far worse and completely off...
You came here defending your point with "Kenya is an attractive investment hub"...blah,blah,blah U are a fool
leo552: Your argument is so prosaic, thats not a government project..What is the correlation between this project and Kenyan economy? Do you know the cost of GTC towers and the pinnacle, some of these developments have off plan bookings well in advance.
No it has every damn thing to do with the Economy...
Towards savages New jam....Who would believe that this pretty diva is a mother at 40 but still keeping the looks and body sexy than even teenage girls... Enjoy the video pls..
Abohboy: Wet dreams this is the same thing you said about the pinnacle. And in any case, Africa tower is going to be built in centenary city and it will be 375m tall, when centenary city is finished not even konza will be able to compare.
Lol Kenyans are the most delusional here...they easily forget that real estate rolls on the back of the Economy...
SA which is supposedly Africa most advanced Economy has experienced massive real estate boom for decades and not until recently they had 55 flrs completed with all that supposedly booming middle class..but here a less than $100bn economy thinks she can just put it up....
Wtf...I just discovered Dangote has a private seaport under construction right next to his refinery..it's funny how that same location houses Lekki deepseaport also under construction...
SUFFERInSMILIIN: [s]When you borrow 10 billion US dollar and use less than a billion US dollar for development and hide the remaining money in countries abroad[/s]
Abohboy: True, the itakpe-Warri line will be making a lot of money, the iron ore is collected at itakpe, than taking to ajaokuta where it will be a de into steel, then it is either taken to Warri port for export or to Abuja and Kano to be further refined or manufactured by local companies. A similar steel plant is being built in kaduna, so in a few years Nigeria will become a massive exporter of steel in Africa same goes for textiles.
Yeah the Kaduna steel is expected to be completed this year..... corona might affect the date ... Fun facts : it is 100% privately funded..
Abohboy: I counted up the floors, than created an estimate for each floor height in meters than timed it by the number of floors, and Eko mall is going to be one of the largest malls in Africa, larger than anything kenya has it will only be smaller than I think the mall of Africa and fourways mall.
If it is up to 44flrs like you said then I think is will equally be more than that 173m estimate you made..... ordinary azuri is 145m and you think a 44 flrs will be merely 173m
Abohboy: Yes Kenyans your railway service is very profitable.
Lol while ours is making profit...they should just forget that Chinese ponzi-scheme of an age...they were rubbed broad daylight..I forsee chines taking total control of that loss making venture...
Abohboy: AMNI towers in Eko Atlantic has finally been approved it has 44 floors and a height of about 173m which would make it the new tallest building in Nigeria, I stand to be corrected with the height. Other projects awaiting approval are Lagos sky tower, le reve tower, Eko mall, Eko corporate tower, Lagos iconic tower and Lagos elevation tower. At least three of those projects are taller than AMNI towers.
Forget Lagos elevation tower..I don't think it is feasible yet.....what I think is more feasible is the Newly Approved Eko Eye condo(55 flrs) at Lagos island CBD..... I think sanwo olu and the Lagos state govt has strong backing the on that one..

Lagos sky Tower is just 26 floor and it's about the same height with audacity tower(28 flrs)....both have been approved. I am seriously rooting for corporate tower an le 'Reve tower..those two are 38flrs and 40 flrs respectively and their design is quite impressive...
I remember chagoury talking about Eko mall on a radio interview earlier this year... Btw where did you get that information about amni tower flrs and height...
Lol your American news website based their ranking on natural beauty...a typical teenage girl... so what then will cities without natural beauty do then.... Little wonder why they made new York the vest city in the works..lol sane newyork that was purported to be among the worst cities globally... Btw why mention new York when beautiful cities like Miami exists...
