Shma: wow! At least kenya can somehow go toe to toe with S. A in real estates sector despite them being miles ahead in africa. I'm literally enjoying the view with samorobo, but of course samorobo just like justo30 will never ever acknowledge any beauty in Kenya Keep posting
I acknowledge beauty....does Diani Beach ring a bell..
gallivant: Sure, government surport and organization plays a very big part. But I can tell you for a fact that Kenyans and Ethiopians dominate marathons just because they train more than anyone else. The escape from poverty is also a great motivation.
Kenyans run fast cos of their feeble slum figure...accept and move on..
gallivant: Abuja is a shithole. There is no district in Nigeria wealthier than Westlands or Upper Hill for that matter.
Oh wow look who is hurting....U will need atleast 2 decade to have that dusty, Ruaka Westland village to compete with Niccon in Abuja or better still just steal some of our billionaires to catch up
Abohboy: Anyone looking for updates on the onne port expansion here’s where you can read on it phase 4B. The port will have 19 berths come 2023, and will beat Mombasa port in terms of capacity, efficiency etc. it will also revive industries in rivers state. http://www.deepoffshore-ltd.com/project/index.html
Tell me about this port...have been hearing this noise about inner portion from FG of late but I have paid it no attention..
Shma: I have never debanked the bolded. I only said you don't have zoning laws in Nigeria in contrary with kenya. Let's try some history. For example;
, some religion in ancient nations religion and other activities took place in the following ways: China during the Zhou Dynasty (1046 – 256 BC), in India during the Vedic Era (1500 – 500 BC), and in the military camps that spread throughout the Roman Empire (31 BC – 476 AD). As the residential districts made up the majority of the city,
I know it's because the innovative and invention for indurial sectors had not take shape hence proper zoning law was not anywhere to be implemented. but then again, when you think of it you'll realize some bit of zoning was adhered to!, why? Only Residencials and religion centres were there so no need to break the town. But until the onset of the Industrial Revolution at around (1760 - 1840), most work took place within the home. Therefore, residential areas also functioned as places of labor, production, and commerce, this is probably is not zoning by any means but the Industry leaving the home was one major factor in reshaping industrial cities hence bringing up a glimpse of zoning foundation. Overcrowding, pollution, and the urban squalor associated with factories were major concerns that resulted to the need for functional separation of uses(proper zoning laws). Germany and France were actually the first nations to implement zoning since the industrial sector was booming back in in 19th century in those countries . Kenya on other hand started to implement Buldings by laws and codings in 1926 when some advance nations like new York had just started it I think back in 1920. Nigeria up to date has never implemented it and that's the reason you'll find your precious island purposed for residential has a mixed used entities where factories and industrial are booming in a realm of residential plot. If you don't have zoning laws don't even think of comparing with Nairobi, Lagos has huge development taking place and more which has happened but your city will still look hideous to the strangers eye, infact I like how Eko Atlantic is coming up, zoning laws and bulding codes can be seen but of course no greenery to save the artistic.
Who told you Eko Atlantic has no greenery....planting if tress in Eko Atlantic is a MUST....forget grass a d forest...that simple t happening...before building are built they must meet a certain criteria like being smart,Eco friending, green and all that...
Btw greenery is not development...aside central park new York lack a greenery..he knits even worse in Dubai..

popizaino: This is just impressive and visionary from Africa most powerful country Egypt. When will our government roll out something like this for the less privileged?#saynotodwarfcity#
Mkenya2019: I know you had to rebutall when I gave you the entire SSA outside south africa.
You say Nairobi is a forest - if you watch this exact clip - you can see where terror attack happened. I stayed in Chiromo campus of the University of Nairobi for 2yrs - exactly 10 meters from the gate of the terror attack.
from 4:15 minutes...you'll see the terror attack site. Those Somalis like you - get very jealous and envious -when they see Nairobi. They wish they can bomb it all down
What a joke....I have that video before and I am yet to see this thing you are talking about.....provide me links and evidence that your shabby Westland or Ruaka village is what you term it to be..else cease the noise...ain't gat time for frivolities today..
Abohboy: Found this website tells you about port activity and the third largest port in Nigeria is getting more traffic than Mombasa port the largest port in Kenya. Yet you want to compare to apapa port the largest port in Nigeria.
Mkenya2019: [s]Nicco what? I have shown you some of videos of Westland; arguably the richest district in Sub Sahara Africa outside RSA...I am talking an area 225 SQ KMs (that is like 15 Eko cities ..please show me anything) like that outside South Africa.
The next would be Nairobi south - hosting Karen and upper hill.
I am not talking of one or two estates ; I am talking of a district as big as 15kms squared[/s].
Reply with videos like this - of an area nearly 400km square - that rich in SSA - outside SA and Magreb.
