donphilopus: Boko Haram attacked a battalion of Soldiers moving from Edo to Niger in Kogi State?! Pathetic! These people should have known by now that in times like this, those soldiers should be flown instead of traveling by road cos Kogi is somehow. This' exacly how they were ambushed sometimes in 2013 or so in Kogi when they were going for peacekeeping mission in Mali.
And when they get to the battle field they should be flown also? In a nut-shell they should abandon the roads and live in the air for the fear of attack so that anti-government group will shout that the soldiers are afraid to go by the road. Meanwhile they are trained to confront such emergencies.

Nigerians self, na waaah.

High speed kills but bad roads kill more. The rate of accident on Benin -Shagamu has reduced thanks to rehabilitation going on there. Fix the roads first.

ba7man: Nobody said it was going to be easy.

But do u know how many fans GEJ would win if he can sucessfully prosecute just one sponsor??

He won't need TAN rallies nd such to be re-elected....it would also send out a far bigger message on the fight against Boko Haram than 80 attack Helicopters.
I will take opposition serious the day they will chronicle the President's deeds. They will tell us where he has failed and not forgetting where he has scored high points and not just stay and criticize because it is not reaching them. Meanwhile many of them were in the same umbrella but because they have fallen out of favour they suddenly see the bad leadership in him.

Bros let me tell you one thing, the sponsors of boko harams are mainly northern muslims, not all of them though. Any decisive move against them will bring about religious crises and you know what the world is facing already. The government's approoach is this, ''kill the foot soldiers, discourage the wannabes and frustrate the whole plot''. It may take longer time but to me it is the best option.

They introduced sharia to tempt a former government and he ignored them, today nobody is making noise with sharia after cutting few individuals hand or are you gonna tell me there are no thieves in the north again?

Forget that your approach!!!!!!!
PoliticsRe: Unreleased Photos From The Battle In Konduga (bloody Scene) Warning!! by samplegirl(f): 1:25pm On Sep 15, 2014
ba7man: Nope, they've always wondered and will continue to wonder why the Boko Haram foot soldiers are killed and their comanders and sponsors are shielded, despite the FG claiming that they know them.

This is like "slap killing" mosquitos on your skin when your environment is filled with bushes and stagnant water.

Why not deal with the sponsors despite admitting that they know who they are for over 3yrs.............abi is that not common sense??

"Strike the head and the body dies".
Sounds so easy! If the government moves against certain people now, Nigerians will cry that opposition is being persecuted. One animal from the north has accused the President of GENOCIDE just because he responded to boko haram menace but today see where we are. The same Nigerians are abusing the President for not doing enough.

This is a country where poeple run to court to BUY immunity from prosecution and we are all calling for better tommorrow.

sarutobie: this post here, this post right here sums it all up..they collect bags of rice from a political businessman and expect him not to recuperate and get his monies worth? The money meant for building good roads for you has been mortgaged on a plate of rice you phools! The other day some hooligans destroyed a railway facility, these same hooligans will turn around and blame the government for not providing good roads? The money for roads have been used to repair the railway facilities you vandalised you phools! Or you think resources are unlimited? A person gets infected by a hardcore disease and runs to his doctor, the doctor who is supposed to know better (but out of greed) hides the patient, mismanages the situation and ends up endangering others and you expect me to blame some dude in a far away estate in abuja for the greedy unprofessional actions of a doctor? Am sorry I hold no man responsible for MY actions.some dudes save up money enough to start some small business here in nigeria(but that wont give him the kind of mansions and fleet of cars he dreams about ) so what does he do? He goes over to another man's land to do drugs and crime and smearing the hardworking nigerians over there and here. And when he is caught he says a dude somewhere in an estate in abuja didn't provide enough jobs and that justifies crime? The irony is, if he gets lucky and "successful" in his life of crime, gets back home, nobody cares to know how he really made the money. Before long he starts giving out bags of rice for a political office and the cycle continues. WE the citizens encourage corruption, irresponsibility, crime. Saying its just some dude in an estate in abuja is a halfbaked lie I will never buy.
Thanks big brother, it gladdens my heart to see that there are people around who still reason like normal human being.

komekn: Obama, won his first election on the slogan "Yes We Can" Change is coming, using the reasoning of your proposition with regard to GEJ, his election slogan would then be, "No We Can't" Change will never come. that would explain why his regime has essentially ENTHRONED CORRUPTION almost entirely whole-scale across his government.
No you got me wrong. Change will come if WE believe in it, if WE work it out, if WE stop blaming the other man, if WE believe that WE have our shortcomings individually and find ways to remedy it. Change will come the day WE start obeying the law not because WE are bieng watched but because the laws are there for us, for regulations. Other than that WE are simply making noise.

Have you entered public offices and see how corrupt the entire staff are? Must GEJ be present everywhere? How do we contribute our own quota to national development, by criticism and turning around to do worse things?

Nigerians are waiting for GEJ to tell them to stop giving bribe, littering the streets, driving against the traffic, paying for power consumed.

My question is ''where can we say that we are good but the government has failed?'' People demand and collect bags of rice and other inducement in other to vote and when the rice giver abandons you once in office you start to complain.

Let us grow up. The purge should be from inside.

Allohrandy: do you know what is wrong with Nigerians like you? We don't hold our leaders accountable. This is the reason our country is in a mess up state. I am privilege to live in a western country and I see how their goverment treat their citizens with respect. when GEJ was running for office he promised to reduce crime, protect the life and property of every Nigerian, improve the standard of living in Nigeria. I would have to blame him if he fails to deliver on the promises he made to Nigerians.
I feel compelled to reply you after seeing how articulate reasonable in your post. Let me make it abundantly clear here that I do not sing praises for GEJ but it is a pity the way people have turned to blame him for everything negative about this country. Let us blame successive governments right from 1960 because the story has been the same since then. Which among them did not promise but see where we are today. If we had gotten it right before, Ya'radua and GEJ wouldn't have found platform in the first place.

Many SAINTS who post rubbish here would jump boat if they see any form of inducement, while some will be far worse than him if they are local council chairman. Call them to come out to protest, you won't see them, ask them to sit at home to frustrate the government, they will tell you they will die if they do not go out a day, ask them to come out and vote out the corrupt man, they will be at home watching home video.

We are hypocrites!

oduastates: In my opinion ,that logic is twisted .
In order words ,we should all be singing kunbaya .
Next time you meet a foreigner(even better when it is abroad),press them about their Nigerian experience.if you press them enough ,they will tell you about Nigeria and Nigerians. Most of what they will tell you are things, even Nigerians themselves, are too blind to see.An expatriate wrote about his Nigerian experience last year.it was posted on nairaland .he made many observations which most Nigerians hardly notice.he mentioned the fact that unions in Nigeria are basically criminal gangs who care not about the society they were suppose to serve.A gang master is at the head of the socalled union ,he collects dues and is unanswerable to no one on how he spend union money or conducts union activities.Dues are forcefully collected whether you want to associate or not.
He mentioned the fact that NUPENG members are paid too much when compared to the work they do.most especially when international standards are used.
I travelled to a remote continental EU country where the immigration officer who stamped my passport ,was specifically sent to Nigeria to live amongst Nigerians.he engaged me in a conversation but I cannot fail to notice that despite his jovial mien, the guy was actually sizing me up.
I was the only person on the non- EU line .
I will not bother to tell you the details of his opinion but it goes along the lines of Nigerians being a bunch of loud and criminal fools.the leaders are criminals and the followers are fools.you wake up in the morning to see lawbreaking considered as being normal.
You could tell that he actually felt a pity for the people of the country but his main point of frustration were Nigerian leaders.
The guy speaks passable youruba and Hausa but only stayed a few months in the SE /SShe was in Nigeria for 5 yrs learning our ways.
Lastly, the type of people who come to Nigeria do read books. They are also very sensitive and they see things .
They go back home and tell stuffs.
Nigeria herself is the worst advert for the country.
Starting from Abuja .
Unfortunately many Nigerians will not believe you. Remember the ''pension thief''? If you ask him he will tell you that the only problem in Nigeria is GEJ.

There are so many type of sickness, yours is unique. Every man suffering from one type of STD after a visit to a brothel, every woman who has not concieved after six months of marriage, every child who failed exam after wacthing cartoon instesd of reading his books even the harlorts in the brothel or on the street have GEJ to blame. Every man who has turned his wife to a punching bag is blaming GEJ for his actions. Please let us blame GEJ for every of our problem. Let us believe that the moment GEJ dies we will start to live in heaven on earth. In short the only thing that is preventing this country to attain PERFECTION is because GEJ is still around.

The bad roads, epilepic power supply, armed-robbery, pen-robbery, juvenile delinquency, vandalisation fornication even promiscuity were never known to us untill GEJ came around.

One thing many Nigerians like to hear is only negative things about this country. If there is any thing positive it is propaganda. And anything negative is caused by the President. Funny enough this bunch will not go to the polling stations on election day to vote out the bad government. People use all sort of bad language on the person of the President not based on credible information they have but just because others are saying so.

I remember one of George W. Bush's statements after 911, he said and I quote ''there is no distinction between the terrorists and those who harbour them'' hence he went to Afghanistan to hunt down Osama and those who harboured him but it is very unfortunate that people in this country do not know that those who throw the bombs and those who appreciate them are same. People do not know that terrorism is a challenge that concerns everybody and not only Mr President's. The only thing we are interested is to be in our rooms or living room or anywhere and dish out blames.

Talking about those who throw bombs and those that appreciate them I felt pain in my heart this morning when I went out buy some stuff across the street. I saw a newspaper vendor selling and telling some folks how boko haram mercilessly dealt with the Nigerian police in the North. As far as I am concerned that news did not get my intention but something did. I noticed how happy the vendor was and the satisfaction all over him. The only question that crossed my mind is -what does this man stand to gain when a terrorist group overruns a police station? My conclusion is that we are our own problem. The animal who was happy that boko haram dealt with the Nigerian police surely will not be spared by boko haram fire if he happens to within the area they strike. Many who admire, support or defend the terrorists have been killed by their bullet and many will still be killed by their bullet.

Am I promoting the present government? No. I must add also that no Nigerian government has had the masses's plight in heart but facelessly calling names won't change anything. You will be surprised with what you hear when you ask people why they castigate the government. When you enter government offices it is then you know the scale of rot in this country. I have lived enough to know that virtually every Nigerian is corrupt although you who is reading may claim Saint but remember those take bribe and those give bribe are all guilty of bribery.

Am I expecting any LIKE for this post? Not at all rather I expect bashing because the truth is always bitter and normally painful but Nigerian scenerio reminds me of the poem we read in those days titled ''THE CASUALTY'' Whatever negative that befalls Nigeria, we Nigerians are all CASUALTIES.

Symphony007: It gives me great joy that there are still countries in africa with a judiciary that does it job without sentiments or personal feelings. No country on earth can have a constitution which protects fundamental human rights then go ahead to criminalize freedom of expression. It is ridiculous and no judiciary will stand for that. Nigeria should take note. Our supreme court must strike down ours if it gets to their desk. If our governments wants it's anti gay law to stand, then it should do a constitutional amendment were fundamental human rights is removed then a law like that can stand. But you can't claim to protect human rights and put people in jail for living their lives because you don't like how they do it. It's a mockery of constitutional democracy. You can't eat your cake and have it.
First of all admit you are gay. And I put it to you that your are a confused gay. Your argument lack human sense of reasoning because if protecting human rights is allowing people to behave how they like then there shouldn't be any law in the first place. People should be allowed to do whatever they want because they are humans and they have right.

America and Britain that are busy decieving your type prohibit polygamy thereby depriving people from free association and violating their fundamental human right.
