Rap in Nigeria has come a long way from the days where no one even thought about giving it a chance, much less becoming a relevant genre in the Nigerian Music Industry. Today, Rap/hiphop is now becoming a mainstream genre accepted among the people in Nigeria. There is now evidence that a good rapper who raps in English or his/her local dialect (or both) can be successful in the Nigerian Music industry, which wasn’t the case years ago. According to popular music site ‘ notjustok.com’ meet the 10 most gifted rappers of 2014. 1. Phyno: Azubuike Chibuzo Nelson known by his stage name Phyno, is a rapper and record producer. He is known for rapping in the Igbo language. 2. Olamide: Olamide Adedeji, known by his stage name Olamide, is a hip hop recording artist. He records mostly in Yoruba, his native tongue. 3. Reminisce: Remilekun Abdulkalid Safaru, known by his stage name Reminisce aka ALAGA IBILE is a singer, rapper, and song writer. He is one artist to find a balance rapping both in English and Yoruba. 4. Mojeed: Aristokrat Records rapper Mojeed is popularly known for his hit song “Jagaban” a single off his critically acclaimed mixtape. 5. Modenine: Babatunde Olusegun better known as Mode 9 (Modenine) is a rapper and hip-hop artiste. 6. Jesse Jagz: Jesse Garba Abaga, better known as Jesse Jagz, is a hip-hop artist, rapper, singer, producer and songwriter. 7. Ice Prince: Panshak Zamani, better known by his stage name Ice Prince, is a rapper, hip-hop recording artist and actor. 8. iLLBLiSS: Tobechukwu Melvin Ejiofor, popularly known by his stage name Illbliss is a hip-hop recording artist, stage performer, business man and owner of the managing outfit The Gorretii Company. 9. Falz: Folarin Falana, is a rapper and also the son of renowned lawyer, Femi Falana. He is also known as Falz the Bahd Guy. He runs a self-owned independent record label, Bahd Guys Records. 10. Yung6ix: Onome Onokohwomo, better known by his stage name Yung6ix, is a rapper and hip-hop recording artist. |

My father started with this alcohol of a thin yet he gave birth to 4 healthy sons my eldest took over and now i'm d 3rd and also gave birth to a healthy baby boy (so alcohol in my own case is nothin). I'm just curious to ask this question if nairalanders (Nigerians) still wash there hands with soap and water even though we don't have any case of EVD in the country again. I knw that hand washing with sanitizers isn't so common among we Nigerians but yet we managed to do so during d period of EVD or is the spirit of hand washing gone with EVD? |
