Sincerely...., you shall be address the way you dress. See your hairstyle. your LI is an idiot. Johnnyessence: The sad incident happened today in Ogun State. While narrating what happened, he said: “I had double encounters with SARS at Sango Toll Gate. They stopped the cab I was in and asked me to alight from the vehicle. . I got down and showed them my NYSC ID card and Artiste ID card. They asked to check my phone but I refused, I told them I just met their colleagues at Meiran and I was already getting frustrated with the way and manner they were stopping me for no reason, not like I was dressed shabily. . They asked me to get into their bus but I refused, suddenly a struggle ensued causing another scene again. I kept struggling with 2 of the SARS guys until their boss who’s well built and very masculine gave me series of slaps and blows before I obliged. . Meanwhile onlookers were just watching without anyone coming to my rescue. While in the bus, their boss said I injured him while struggling with them and for that I was going to pay for letting him bleed. . That’s how I was turned into a punching bag by this. All this was happening while their bus driver who’s actually a local bus commuter driver was driving. After about an hour I was already thinking they were kidnappers due to the lonely areas we’ve been plying. . When he was done checking my phone without seeing nothing incriminating, he was like so I’m I a Yahoo Boy I said No. He then told the bus driver to stop at a Govt primary school field where touts do come to smoke Marijuana. . He then treathened to shoot me and dump my body at the bush saying nothing will happen. They said so because I’m a Corper that I think I can struggle with them. That they don’t know who is giving us useless orientation. . I was later uncuffed. Before I alighted from their bus, I was able to write down the bus number since I couldn’t get their identity. (SMK05X6, its a mini 7 seater bus. I’m traumatized and I only hope the NPF will investigate and bring this men to justice. I give UP on this country.”

Education › Re: Universities Charging Above N2,000 For Post-utme Must Refund Excess To Students, by samuel900(m): 8:30am On Oct 09, 2017 |
MR. BENJAMIN, GO AND FOOL YOUR BROTHERS akelicious: UNIVERSITIES CHARGING ABOVE N2,000 FOR POST-UTME MUST REFUND EXCESS TO STUDENTS, SAYS JAMB
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) yesterday said universities that charged more than N2,000 from applicants for its post-Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) examination would be made to refund the excess payment.
JAMB’s Head of Public Relations, Fabian Benjamin, made these known in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja.
He decried message on the social media that the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, had directed the refund of post UTME fee, describing the information as false and could create confusion in the public domain.
Benjamin urged the public to disregard the information, saying that institutions that had charged more than N2,000 would be asked to make refund of the excess.
He described as unfortunate a situation where some institutions could not adhere to the minister’ directive about the payment of post-UTME.
The examination board said it would partner the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to conduct public examination through Computer Based Test, CBT, for Nigerians abroad.
Benjamin said the collaboration was to enhance the conduct of UTME for foreign candidates in 2018.
He said 2017 UTME was conducted for foreign candidates on September 30 in Gambia, Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Benin Republic, Ethiopia, South Africa and Cameroun.
According to him, although the conduct of the examination was not justifiable, in terms of monetary value, there is need for JAMB to collaborate, to promote growth in the education sector.
“We are already promoting CBT in line with international best practices; we have taken it to some countries in Africa, we need to do more to encourage the practice.
“We have even gone ahead to see how we can put some countries on the global map by conducting our public examination there through CBT.
“What we want to do is to partner with the ministry to be able to key into the global technology revolution as part of our foreign policy.
“We must be able to maximise profit, especially from West African countries that we are offering assistance, through scholarship, to school in Nigeria.
“We cannot achieve much by looking at things from naira and kobo, but through diplomatic relations there will be adequate room to gain through conduct of examination abroad,” he said.
The head of public relations explained that foreign candidates sat for examination in one session based on local time of their various countries, adding that the questions were deployed from the board’s headquarters.

BABA SIGN PEACE CORPS BILL....CHIKENA Beress: I just heard it on NTA network news now that the weekly federal executive council meeting will not hold tomorrow.
The information which was made available by the Minister of Information, Alhaji Lai Mohammed states that the reason for this development is because of the the Sallah holidays which made them not to be prepared for the meeting.
I'm kind of disturbed with this development and I have some reservations.
What does it take for them to prepare for this meeting?
What the hell is Buhari still doing in Daura even after traveling two days before the public holidays announced?

The change of course/Institution is still very much on at the moment despite the fact that lists have been sent to different institutions.
Those of who did change of course/Institution are stranded;we can not apply for putme just because of their incompetence and Insensitivity. We thought they are knowledgeable enough to direct the changes to their destinations as soon as they are made.
In previous years, there was a deadline for the process which access was normally blocked after time frame..

Education › Re: 120 Cut-off Mark Is A Trap, My Advice To Those Seeking Admission by samuel900(m): 2:51pm On Aug 24, 2017 |
It's a fraud, way of extorting the poor. later Oloyede will remit N100B to FG accountPunctual: Concerning the latest upgrade in jamb, i mean the decrease in the cut-off marks has been the most discussed topic recently among parents and students(especially undergraduates).i know some people are really happy about this(those who didn't make the ''used to know'' cut-off mark which is 180) am also happy for you guys
well,i believe this is an opportunity for you ,those whose jamb score is roaming between 120-160.yes! Jamb has set its cut-off mark but universities have not set theirs and they won't release their cut-off mark until after conducting their post-utme or screening.so what's the fate of those students who scored less than 160 in utme and won't be admitted just because they didn't meet the cut-off mark?.......then you are TRAPPED! No going back, you just have to spend another year at home.
The aim of this post is to reduce the time wasted by students at home, just because they didn't gain admission into university some will decide to stay at home and keep on hoping to be admitted the following year.if University didn't admit you,try POLYTECHNIC am pretty sure they won't reject you.
So my dear nairalanders whose jamb score is not encouraging,i implore you to be wise in going for the right thing.some will say they know someone who can help them but the fact is nobody help u when ur score is low, they only help those who are close to the standard set by the school.my advice is just for you to go for planB(polytechnic). 120 cut-off mark is just an opportunity to lure students in order to waste their time and money....am not saying u shouldn't obtain post-utme for UNI,there's nothing impossible though but there's something impossible in Nigeria and that is gaining admission into university with jamb score below 160. BE WISE!...
Pardon my blunders i cant but make it
thanks |
Education › Re: JAMB: How Cut-off Marks Were Fixed – Registrar by samuel900(m): 11:08am On Aug 24, 2017 |
BUNCH OF THIEVES dammy13: The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has revealed how the cut off marks were fixed for higher institutions.
It said contrary to insinuations that it fixed the Tuesday’s tertiary institutions’ minimum admission cut-off marks, it was rather a collective decision of stakeholders in the education sector.
JAMB Registrar, Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, spoke to reporters yesterday, insisting that stakeholders in the sector unanimously agreed that the minimum cut-off marks for the university degree for the 2017 academic year be put at 120, lower than the previous years, which stood at 180.
He allayed fears that the development might further lower Nigeria’s education standard.
He stated that besides the board recommending cut-off marks for universities, polytechnics and colleges of education as well as monotechnics, individual institutions could raise their admission benchmark higher but not above 180 and below 120 for universities.
He said, “With this decision, universities are not to go below the minimum 120 cut-off points adopted by the meeting for admissions.
“What JAMB did was a recommendation, we only determined the minimum, whatever the various institutions determine as their admission cut-off mark is their decisions.
“The Senate and academic boards of universities should be allowed to determine their cut-off marks.“

YOU SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR COMMON SENSE TO TITLE YOUR POST Andyblaze: This morning I went down to get my trouser amended, prior to going I had about 5,000 naira in the pocket of this said trouser and I totally forgot I had put it in there last night. Fast forward I went to an Hassan multipurpose shop near my street where they amended clothes, shoes and bags and gave the trouser to one to amend whilst I waited.
When he was there I went home and tested the trouser on my body, then I dipped my hand into my pockets and at that moment I remembered I had put some money there last night but lo and Behold there wasn't any money in there anymore. It was crazy as I sped immediately with the trouser still on back to the shop, one arriving back there I couldn't find the man who amended my trouser. I asked his colleagues about him but they said he had left then I complained to them that the cloth he amended for me had some money in it but I couldn't find it anymore. They told me they had seen no money but that he had already left. Dang! This man has claimed sharp on me and zoomed off with my money and I was resigning to fate, he came strolled back to the shop from wherever he went to and I couldn't recognize him but the other hausa men spoke some hausan to him and then told me he's the one.. I told him i had some money in the trouser he amended but after shaping I couldn't find the money...
Love and Behold, he dipped his hand in his pocket and told me he picked it on the floor that it must have fallen while I was removing the cloth from my body after testing his work. He handed back the 5,000 naira to me. The honesty of this Muslim fella has made my Sunday already and I couldn't help but wonder, how many of we Christians can actually do this. I know certain people who probably would have shared that money amongst themselves the moment they saw it and all connive to say they didn't see it when I had returned to complain.
THE good is not by claiming we are God - fearing, it's by our deeds.
This is a true story and happened to me minutes ago, Happy Sunday Guys. |
