Imagine that 1st guy using 30-50 lot size when the rules states clearly that maximum of 7lot size for forex pairs and 5 for indices.

Every trade should have TWO STAGES:

Planning Stage
Execution Stage

The planning stage is where all the thinking happens.
It is where you MUST make use of the rational part of your brain, AKA the prefrontal cortex.

The execution stage is where you should NOT think.

You must only DO.

You must have a specific plan, so that you have ZERO thinking to do during the execution stage.

The reason for this is because while executing, you are in an emotionally-hightened state

Due to this, your thinking skills are completely bleeped.
This is because the amygdala(emotional part of the brain) is quicker to respond than the prefrontal cortex during emotionally-hightened situations.

Plan while you're emotionally calm.

That way, your execution will be less likely to be sabotaged by the irrational mind.

News is not the problem

The question that needs answering is when to trade after the news or what areas to trade after the news

News only accelerates directional moves

If your strategy is built around using pinbars on lower timeframe (1h, 5 min, 15 min) and getting reversals perfectly, you'll continuously get burnt regardless of news.

To be honest, I always trade the reversal of the spike because most of the time whenever the news is released, it sweeps liquidity before the real movement begins and that was what I was expecting yesterday but unfortunately it didn't happen as expected.

Note: one must be able to spot where liquidity resides before entring and confirmation on lower timeframe is crucial TO AVOID STORY THAT TOUCHES🤣🤣

*When you're funded, this is the time you should be most disciplined.

*Reduce your risk per read. Risking 0.5% per trade is ideal.

*Only take those A+ setups and don't revenge trades.

The adrenaline in me is always pumping every time I trade because I daytrade
the indices: Nasdaq and Dow. The rush of emotions is always there.

Like today, the ugly monster of greed crawled out which I refused to send away
and I lost all my profits for the month and lost the comp account. I was already done
with trading today o after my partials of profit was taken and the trade closed in profit.

But what later went wrong?

I didn't close the trading account app like I always do, I glanced at the chart one more time
feeling good with myself and I saw another opportunity to make more which is not
necessary according to my trading rules but I ignored and went bunker by entering
with higher lot in multiple positions and within a twinkle of an eye huge drawdown
appeared and the account is gone even with my stops in place.

Just when you think you're in charge of your emotions, you slip up slightly and you get
screwed.

Conquering self is the biggest and hardest work we must do in order to really fly high
in this industry.

Do I feel bad? Yes, but just to scold myself for slipping and that was it.

I'll go again and again and again and again until I get on top of my game.

I hope this helps some of us here.

What I've noticed In this industry is that one needs to be disciplined

I believe that the only reason to get into a trade is if you see an opportunity and you feel the
market has a good chance of moving in your direction.

But the reason people usually add
on to their losing positions is not because they see another opportunity, but because they
don’t want their first opinion to be wrong😀😀

Market no be anybody mate if it tells us that we're wrong let's accept and learn and of course move on to the next A+ setup.🤠🤠

Woow, just woow, and who says GOD isn't working, when I saw the post from @praisegod something just said I should try and give this a trial, I was never hoping to get nominated not to talk of getting picked when i know for a fact that there are better traders with vast experience than i am. I joined this beautiful family not long and in those periods I have significantly improve and still improving, I am currently up 3% in the TFT competition I was never expecting this coupled with being nominated by @info mehn..., if I can do this you can , yes you can let's just put in the effort, you will be amazed like I m now, and i am not saying I am a professional yet , infact the work has just begun, but you know that feeling when you've put in so much effort but not seeing results and you start to believe you are not gonna make it in the game then suddenly it all changes , I want to thank @info for the trust and courage to even nominate me cos I know alot will be running through his mind when he nominated me, also my thanks to the house I have learned alot from you all, picked or not, one love.
