The lower the number, the higher your chances.

During our time we went along with a means of identification (either national Id card or voter's card) and also the acknowledgement slip we printed out when we applied.

CONCERNING EXAMS

In addition to the past questions you might be going through, don't depend on that alone, from our experience, we had questions from the following areas;
Basic arithmetic (simple maths)
Logical reasoning
Current affairs
Know a few things about NCS (Basic stuffs actually)
Acquaint yourself with some common abbreviations
Basic computer questions.

Try as much as possible to brush your ability to operate computer (especially if you are not using one regularly) navigation around the exams isn't a big deal.

Firstly, congratulations to all that got shortlisted.

I know some didn't see their names neither did they see the name of anyone from their LGA, well the reason is not far fetched, their LGAs have already been picked by those of us in camp and you all know this was a supplementary recruitment.

As for those who got shortlisted and are planning for exams, well going through past questions is not entirely bad but there are other things you can do

As at present there is no concrete info, the closest i heard is the list will be released anytime soon (although I don't know how soon) and from my experience, anything is possible.

bros even we wey no be officer yet get brothers or sisters or cousin or friends or wife wey be officer,some of us papa even retire as comptroller,deputy comptroller, assit comptoller for custom etc and even if we no get at all,our common sense know say them go pay una salary within 3 to 6months and even if dey don't do that,them go pay una salary one day....you do forget so soon say you just get the work and you be dey rely on this platform for information before?,take am easy,him no post salary amount or anything confidential,he only said they have started paying which we all know say the work must pay salary.

No long talk, but the truth is salary has not been paid yet. We still dey hope

You can apply for study leave immediately after you are confirmed and confirmation takes mostly two years

Sir, did some of the support staff tried changing to GD after leaving camp? That is for the recently commissioned. During their POP, I learnt that they were thought general customs duty and enforcement.

You will have to be thought basically everything about the job but changing is not possible
Nobody tried changing (at least non that I know of)

Also like I said earlier I have a skill (tailor) but I didn't apply as a support staff although the guy at the cafe who did it for me said it isn't a problem that when he was at camp for immigration training, they asked them if anyone had a professional skill and were noted down..PLEASE HOW TRUE IS THIS?

In customs you get what you apply for. Although sometimes as a general duty officer you can work in other departments but I doubt if tailoring is one. So since you didn't apply as a tailor, you won't be one at least for now.

And concerning posting, I don't know what determines the posting of gd but support staffs are posted to their various departments immediately.
