PoliticsRe: What Do You Think PBAT Is Presently Doing Wrongly? by san4P(m): 12:39pm On Jun 28, 2025
dalitigator:
Since I my first discussion on any political subject in 2023 and first predicted that PBAT was too much of a genius to enter that balabu and bulabu phase, I neva fit rest.

He wants friendship but I don't trust I can keep up with the requirements. I prefer Egbon/Aburo side of things.

Na another party man sha. Nor be APC or Baba pikin. We na adopted Baba pikin. That's all. We don't even know each other physically but we talk and gist alot.

Back to the gist.....

He talked about the high cost of living and the attendant increase in fuel price. My ear full but I had to respect him and listen cos he is an elder, and also a mentor.

Whenever he speaks, you must learn wisdom. So, it's wisdom to listen to him. But I don't know if should be his friend or his aburo. But I prefer the Aburo side of things. It's makes it earlier not to cross invisible lines that might burn you.

Ha! It takes a little to offend them. And they won't say anything but just deny you access to them.

When he was done, I could not help but ask him this; what do you think that PBAT is presently doing wrongly?

And do you intend to correct those mistakes if Nigerians decided to make you their President this very minute.

Na there wahala start. He could not really explain much. It was then we understood that it's earlier to join the band wagon in criticism.

But did we really understand the situation, circumstances and available facts that might have culminated in such harsh and unpleasant decisions?

Well we both decided to make it an open question having shown him my earlier article earlier in the day.

So we are asking you the same question.

What do you think PBAT is presently doing wrongly and how will you correct that if we are to make you our president this very moment?

We dey hia dey wait.

NB: Posted with his full permission after he read through. So while sipping our online beer, we dey wait answers from those who think otherwise.
One thing I like about Pres.Tinubu... he seems to have broad listening attitude both from friends and foes ... but he prefers utilizing crude methods to solve issues...

As you rightly asked us to criticize the government... but not out of hatred... rather to reveal good solutions... here are my observations ..

Carefully studying Pres. Tinubu... you would discover he is very clever... but actually not very wise.... This is not an insult... but here's what I meant... if everyone would be satisfied in their destiny call and not mingle into others destiny.... Pres Tinubu is a far better choice as a Party Chairman than a National President.... to prove this.... when you carefully study the present state of most political parties in Nigeria.... and even some of the upcoming options... you would find his well calculated presence in them.... which means he controls them by proxy...

Actually based on performances... since we resumed democracy... the best Nigerian President has been H.E. Obasanjo... followed by H.E. Jonathan....

In summary... so far what had limited Pres Tinubu is his focus to outsmart other politicians ... rather than ensuring solutions are offered and implemented... this we usually call..."lack of political will"...
PoliticsRe: Why Nigeria Can Never Have 24/7 Electricity Even With The Best Government by san4P(m): 9:49am On Jun 28, 2025
PaNnamdi:
Don't be deceived because electricity generation is not child play.Generation of electricity requires numerous capital and human resources to make a nation especially a large one called Nigeria with over 200 million people to get steady electricity.

Reasons Nigeria Can Never Guarantee Steady Electricity Supply

As a Nigerian I use roughly 3000 watts of electricity daily, this comes from my 8 400 watts solar panels.Every Nigerian need atleast a minimum of 2000 to optimum of 3000 watts of electricity in his home to be able to carry out basic electrical demands in his day to day life.

How Many Watts Do Nigeria Actually Need To Generate

Nigerian Need atleast a generation capacity of 600,000,000,000(600 billion)watts of electricity for it to gurantee that it have met the electrical demands of the Nigerian population.

Cost Associated With Generating Electricity Of This Size

A 600bn watts generation would guarantee every 200 million Nigerian citizen have assess to at less 3,000 watts of electricity wether during peak times or not.if it cost the government 3000 dollars to generate 3mw(3000 watts) of solar power,it would require 3000*200,000,000 which is 600 billion dollars to guarantee electricity for every Nigerian.(Note this is just basic calculation and extra costs involved during this realization weren't added if I added it everything could run up to 1 trillion dollars).

Reality

Nigeria can't afford this, and to my readers please maintain your generator or solar panels with all zeal because its your only remedy to steady light until you die, don't believe propagandas a thousand of Peter obi, tinubu, Jonathan, sowore and all analysts combined can't make Nigeria get steady electricity supply accross every inch of Nigerian territory not even in a 100 years time.
Although you have stated some real time facts... but Nigeria can achieve constant electricity for our total territory...

What it takes is good planning... that's forecasting what the energy need will be for each segment of the country... then determine whether such electricity need will be provided by the government or private institutions....

So no matter the large figure of needed electricity megawatts... it is both achievable and sustainable...

Although this is a good action... but the root of the problem is this... why should the court or NIMC give provisions for people to alter their ages .. Anyone who deliberately alter his or her age details is also capable of administrative falsehood...

The right and standard practice in times like this is... the use of birth certificate for nationals.... and international passport for foreigners...

I think it is right for the Health and Interior ministers to harmonize database through individual entries by a national birth certificate or international passport...

The past few weeks have witnessed some terror attacks on some communities... and security personnel...

Here are what I could summarize... after some extensive reviews on these attacks...

1. Attackers were sponsored... most likely someone in or outside the government is behind these planned attacks...

2. Sponsor(s) is/ are within Nigeria.... present attacks showed the last commands came from within...

3. Attack militia are trained... if those who attacked at Abia were dropped off from helicopter... it means if dropped from mid-air they were paratroopers and possibly mercenaries... if dropped on land then they are regular fighters...

4. Major land mass attacks had a close boundary pattern... Plateau... Benue... Niger... Enugu... Abia...

5. Also painful to say but very truthful... Indigenes of Plateau and Benue have similar lifestyle of "Zidonians"... they haven't yet seen the need to take they security seriously to preserve their lives and posterity...

fergie001:
On Tuesday, 25th day of March 2025, the House of Representatives passed 39 Constitution Amendment Bills for second reading.

These bills have been referred to the Committee on Review and Constitution for further legislative action, before heading to the Senate and later respective Houses of Assembly
With respect to this considered bills... here ate my opinions:..

1. Irrespective of the present decadence... I don't support creation of state police... because for good justice to be served... it is best that we apply same law for the nation... also proper and equal welfare can't be provided to personnel in a divided structure...

2. There is no need to recall retired judges into the judiciary council... rather scrap the supreme court... and the promoted justices should be the ones in the judiciary council... with the duties of monitoring practicing legal personnel... and probing judgements in cases of discrepancies...

3. To save cost... INEC should be the sole electioneering body for federal... states... and local governments election...

I am impressed by the quality of legislative bills presently proposed by the current House of Representatives... Thumbs up...

But I would like to add here... I am of the opinion that The Court of Appeal in the various states... should be the final court for hearing and tendering justice to matters within the country... while the Supreme Court of Nigeria should be scrapped because of their injustice and corruption... while they use unnecessary grammars to cover up bribes-for-judgment...

The Supreme Court of Nigeria should rather be converted to or infused into the judiciary council... and appointed justices promoted into this office... should focus on maintaining order among the legal professionals... by probing practicing personnel conduct and legal courts judgments on disputes...

I believe with this solution... the honourable justices may remember the ethics of their white wig... and ensure Righteous Justice is maintained...

Thumbs up to the Nigerian Military for maintaining order and discipline among her formations...

I advise the Nigerian Police to follow same... because some Police personnel look weird with tattoos, "heavily" smoking in public, plaiting of men's hair, and other indecent outlooks...

It is good when we see right decisions taken because of right leadership... Once again, Kudos to the leadership of the Nigerian Military... GOD bless you
PoliticsRe: NACCIMA Urges Tinubu To Slash Corporate Taxes To 19%, VAT To 7.5% by san4P(m): 1:01pm On Jan 07, 2025
Taxes in Nigeria should not exceed five percent (5%)... any increments beyond this would have negative rippled effect on citizens' cost of living...

The core issue is not the tax rate... rather the fact that revenues realized through taxes are remitted as little fraction from the actual amount...

For instance... the tax collectors who harass motorists and market traders... rarely remit the amount generated... rather the monies are shared among themselves... and I think less than 5% is remitted to government purse... This is the main issue to resolve...

unbiasedTruth:
This is the downside of over education
I predict that this will happen in Nigeria in 40-50 years.

Right now, every shop attendant/driver/security has O level in Nigeria unlike before when it was enough for a secretarial/clerk job. Almost everyone now has a HND/B.Sc and in 15 years time, B.Sc will be basic requirement for shop attendant/driver/security.

In 40-50 years, it will be the turn of Masters degree.
In this our dispensation... a sincere person would accept that to create a balanced society... Education, Exposure, and Experience are core values needed by the populace...

Politely I will say that your opinion seems selfish... it is similar to the opinion of over population... that gave rise to the wicked legalizing of neonate murder... that's infant abortions...

Another show of uncaring attitude of present leaders...

It makes no sense when several companies in Nigeria are diligently innovating ways to solve the inadequacies of the government... and all the government remembers is to mount levies for these innovative solutions...

Testimonies from other countries showed that not just the federal and state governments... even the local government is interested to support every new and existing industry within its domain... because that is the solution to employment and tax generation... but the contrary is what happens here in Nigeria...

Things have to change...

Friend... gambling does no good... it over hypes an imaginary quick profit... but hides the fact that the victim will lose all his possession in a moment... Decent men don't do gambling... If you can't earn it by hardwork or favoured gift... then don't lose the ones you have while attempting to gamble...

You are not the first person I have met in this state... I have met about 2 persons attempting suicide because of gambling... The best counsel I give that had helped them is... you need GOD touch in your life... that's becoming born again... and following the path of JESUS...

Gambling addiction is life long... except with divine intervention...

For the loss you have caused your mum... go confine in someone she respect... then appeal to the person to go along with you to apologize to your mum... Also remember to let them know that you will work hard to refund the lost amount...

If anytime again you are tempted to gamble... pick up a Bible and read the book of Proverbs... then pray... I believe with this antidote you won't gamble again.... because you will hate gambling...

PoliticsRe: In Nigeria, Why Is It That The New President Is Always Worse Than The Former? by san4P(m): 3:40pm On Oct 13, 2024
Kvarachi:
Goodmorning and happy Sunday to you all.
Regarding my topic above. I'm 44yrs old and since I know myself very well as a child starting from IBB regime. I have noticed that any new president or military ruler is worse than the one he collected power from.
.
Now let me start from the IBB tenure, at least from 1990 till 1993 he relinquish power I was above 10yrs and knew myself, surrounding and what's happening in Nigeria very well.
If we're to give IBB pass mark, to me he got 60/100 in terms of things going well for the average man. Even though some people still grumble about the economics and all which I believe is normal.
.
In come Abacha, few months into Abacha's administration people starts missing IBB including those that complain against him.
As months turn to years we started getting used to Abacha's regime, things were going fine except that you don talk anyhow or criticize the regime else you'll be missing and sometimes declared dead. And majority of the people that kicked against Abacha then are the people ruling us now and impoverishing us. So back then, their complaint were just for their selfishness and personal gains.
Not that Abacha didn't do well just that as a military regime you don't have freedom of speech.
.
In comes Obasanjo, months into his regime which was a Democratic one, few people here and there started missing Abacha and the military, though it wasn't loud that much. But in subsequent years people began talking about Abacha in terms of things being good economically. But without mincing words, Obasanjo too tried his best and things were somehow ok.
.
In comes Yar Adua. I have to be honest here, I was in my late 20s and fully matured, but up til now I can't say if I should give Yar Adua pass mark or not. It was as if I wasn't in existence cuz till now I can't pinpoint how people rated Yar Adua, maybe bcuz he ruled for a short time. But the truth is I don't know how to rate him, but generally things and the economy was also somehow good.
.
In comes Jonathan, hmm.... Jonathan also tried his best. But it was in his tenure corruption and stealing of money rose so high. Now I'm not saying other past administration they wasn't corruption or stealing or embezzling of money but, it became rife and more pronounce during GEJ tenure.
And the irony of it all is that, GEJ himself wasn't the one doing most of the stealing and embezzlement (not that I'm exonerating him from it too) but his appointees, ministers and those who surrounds him including his wife where the ones stealing and spoiling the name of his administration.
.
Before I continue, I want to let you all know that my initial comparison between this past leaders was based on just economy and how things are going well for the common man. If things are going well for the common man, which I believe we all know carries the majority, then every leader under such circumstances is doing well in their eyes and there'll be no much complaint and grumbling.
.
But in GEJ's time things were going fine economically, but the pronouncement and outcry of the elites and media houses about serious corruption and embezzlement got to the masses (common man) and they started thinking they deserves more than they are getting currently then.
This are the main reason APC with their "Change Mantra" got to almost 80% of Nigerians. People started having enough of Jonathan and PDP in particular. Majority of the outcry then was let us even taste another party.
I for one, the first and only time I voted in my 44yrs of existence was in Jonathan's first election seeking to be permanent president after serving out Yar Adua's 2 remaining yrs.
And I voted for him.
.
Fast forward to 2015, I too started agreeing with people that wanted change. And I can swear with my life that majority of us that later criticize Buhari and now Tinubu also wanted that change of person and party.
Not that Jonathan did badly o, but people just wanted a change of party and it's not their fault cuz the corruption and embezzlement under him gave the opposition party what to campaign with and people bought into their vision.
.
In comes Buhari, initially things started looking as if they were about to improve but in a drastic change of event it just went downhill and worse. In my whole existence I used to say I haven't seen a president abused and cursed so much by the populace like Buhari. Even children of 5yrs and above knew and heard of Buhari bcus the hardship got to their parents and their parents complaint which many at times brought up Buhari's name made them know Buhari was our problem. So both children, teens and adults insults and cursed the living daylight out of Buhari.
Honestly, if our curses and swear were effective Buhari would have been dead by now. It even made some people said they can never be any president worse than Buhari.
I rmbr telling some people that cares to listen then, that we haven't seen worse yet. That they should watch out for the next president.
And when I told them to watch out for the next president, I didn't single out anybody.
I just feel the next president whether it be from PDP, APC, LP or whatever will make us rmbr Buhari and I wasn't proven wrong cuz it has been the re-occurring theme ever since I know myself in this country.
.
My final conclusion is that day, as Nigeria is today. I haven't seen any messiah yet and what I can tell people is whatever you're doing don't relent, continue pushing hard. With or without the government, if you will succeed you will succeed.
This are just my own opinion and observation about the Nigeria state. You all are free to counter or support my opinion.
Have a lovely day ahead.
Although your facts and analysis are fair... I would say there are good leaders in our midst yet to empowered...

Accepting this school of thought... gives a defeated mindset that "nothing good can come out from Nazareth"... So I would rather give the answer " Come and see"...

Personally I am aiming to be Nigeria next President...

The issues of flawed leadership has been centered on selfishness and lack of self will...

Most Nigerian political leaders only know our common issues... but do not understand the issues... therefore they are void of solutions...

If we don't visit the past... then we can't heal the present... to ensure future progress...

I won't say much now... but when the opportunity comes... I believe my results would be a comfort to many who maintain their integrity...

Even Dangote Refinery shared updates on construction development phases...

From available information... the supposed compensation amount is due to contract termination... not refund of investment made... if the company couldn't establish the facility within 6 years... then they were merely wasting Nigeria time... and hindered other more serious investors...

By GOD's grace... Nigeria can recover her losses and be better in less than a year...
But for this to happen... Key step has to be taken...
The Holy Bible says... you put new wine in new bottle... if the reverse is done... the bottle will burst...
The immediate Key step is... Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all his cabinet members... to step down from government power... when this happens... then an interim government is immediately setup for a short period... likely about 3 months... within this interim... a new Leader should emerge either by election or selection... then be sworn into government power....
By GOD's grace... the new Leader ruling in justice and wisdom... will be a positive game changer...
It is on record that Bola Ahmed Tinubu has during his tenure as Lagos state governor... willingly appointed a youth as a one-day governor... so I assume he can willingly_...
