This Country is a Jhoke!!!!! I remember the flagging off the river niger project in Sept 2009 and the late yaradua was there to flag off the project. people were happy because they ve been told that if the river niger is dredged that it will boost the economy, it will bring goods directly to their doorsteps so many people were in attendance. Today the project has been abandoned after spending so much money!!!!!!!! My question is y do nigerian govt like to waste money why why why?? The contract of the project was tha their will be capital dredging for one year and maintenace for two years before the actuall result can be seen. but trust the govt they spent money for capital dredging and decided to abandon maintenace! This is the technical waste of money from their decision; 1. after the capital dredging, if the maintenace is not done , what has been dredged will go back to where it was at the first place for those that dont understand the dredging process let me explain more; dredging is the process of removing debris, sand, from navigational route in the river, this debris and sand makes navigation of all types of water transportation impossible. so the govt plan was to make river niger a means of transportation in the coutry by dredging it and building ports along the river for barges and small ships, boats, ferries to be able to work perfectly well! 2. The money spent on the initial capital dredging becomes a waste because what you are paying to remove is back to square one! PDP is a failed party that dont ve the people at heart but their own selfish interest. if we are sincere to our selves from what you know and what i know you will all tell your selves the truth, because we cant be lend by people without vision or purpose in life, this few men dont care about the majority but just the few that will benefit from their office. I will always take lagos as an instance that if lagos can be worked on i dnt think nigeria cant be!, all we need is somebody with a mindset to make nigeria work! GEJ is not our man because the people around him cant and wont let him do the work, if per adventure he wins the election nigeria will be the same for the next 4 years! (pls quote me) Who will you vote for? i posted this some years ago! |
positivetaught:yes it was awarded by Yaradua..... he died during the start of the project. jonathan concluded the project.... but he was suppose to do a maintenace job to keep the dredged area dredged. he failed to maintain a job that billions was spent on ..... |
i worked on that project in 2009 with one of the company mentioned. it is very true that amount of money was spent for the dredging of the River Niger. the problem was that there should have been maintenance job every year concurrently to maintain the dredged part of the river niger. but trust our government with the spirit of waste.....they did not pay for it... and so the river is filled with sand again... and it needs to be dredged all over again. i think i wrote about this in 2009 about the wastefulness of government. |

Yesterday was the very unavoidable and inevitable VALENTINE DAY! … All day long you get to see ladies wearing red and white (guys wear this colours too…pathetic) … The most annoying one is all radio station blasting love songs from all decades! ( loved the 90’s songs….cool )… I was just changing channels to get something else but had to put it off. Its not as if I hate love or the celebration of it, but in Lagos Nigeria, Valentine is being celebrated like Christmas, which is very hyprocritic as these people actually hate each other after valentine. Do we need a day to show love or prove you love somebody? For me I will prefer love to be celebrated everyday. And that brings about the question how do you know its love ![]() I don’t think any love expert or therapist have truly answered this question. I read about Oprah Winfrey And Stedman love story, this couple have been together !for over 30years and not married but still together and happy!.. Or the story of Tina Turner and Erwin who were together for 27years before tying the knot in 2013, this women staying power and resilient to all cultural norms to define love wows my mind. I see love as being together with a partner and still not being together but confident of the bond no matter what people say, wat the world think is right, or what is culturally acceptable to norms. I think the most important thing is to open up our minds to understand that love is BEING AND NOT BEING TOGETHER! Rings, roses, teddy, sex, kisses , babies ,wedding, marriage does not prove love. Love is a cord that is selfless and lingers in the heart! The taste lingers forever! So guys how do you know its LOVE ![]() you can follow my blog https://sandraakadidi./ |
Americans acted out of emotions and didn't do a proper research before going to war. We all watched what was going on and knew they were fighting the wrong fight. But we kept quite because it didn't concern us, we wanted blood for blood not caring whose blood it will be. The emergence of Isis never crossed anybody mind and that's where they failed! You can't bully people and think they won't fight back with all they have. Boko haram I heard some Moslems in the north didn't care as they felt its another militancy fighting for Islamic right. Many of the northern leaders sponsored their cause. Today the same boko haram is killing their children, fuxxking their wives and daughters. We not there in that end of the country should not be happy they ain't coming to our door steps, we should be sad and worried! One Nigeria guys! |
