Romance › Re: Is It Advisable To Continue Marriage Where Wife Go physical With Threat Of Wepon by Sandralight(f): 3:32pm On Jan 05 |
Odingo1: I need an opinion, I live in 1 bedroom room flat, room and parlour with dining of 800k per year, the landlord recently increased it to 1m but my wife insisted that we move to another room and parlour that is smaller and far from town only that the house have POP design at 1.6 million. I told her that the place we are staying is better and we can save 600k then unprovoked she said she have finished making arrangements with the other house that I must pay the money that day. To my greatest surprise she started physically pushing me around, bring out our wedding pictures and throw on it the bed and went to kitchen looking for kitchen knife. She was looking for kitchen knife but couldn’t take it finally but went for a lighter and threatened to use fuel and lit 🔥 the house. She bring out all my bag and ask me leave the house or she will smash all my belongings including labtops and phone. Is a shock to me, yet to recover. Note I am a sole provider in the union, she contribute nothing, I gave her monthly upkeep of 120k, I take care of every Damm expenses in the house. I started a lab business for her with 3 m. The marriage is about 10 months, no kid yet. We have not have major issues except minor issues which we resolve. I haven’t involved families yet, I want see opinions first, mod pls front page. This is serious, why will she do all this things just because of changing of house or there is an underlying issues before. I hate domestic violence with all my might, be it from the husband or from the wife. I think you should involve someone you both look up to or get a Marriage counselor because if you don't nip this at bud at this early stage, it will lead to a more serious problem, using knife or fire in a argument is a very serious situation. Try to talk to someone you both respect or a counselor but if your wife have been showing aggression even during dating stage then you should reconsider the marriage before you start having children. |

Politics › Re: 90 Percent Of Nigeria Leaders And Activist Are Using Nigerians For Personal Gain by Sandralight(f): 10:27pm On Jan 02 |
eejo: Happy New year to all and 2026 marks a new era in our great Country Nigeria. Majority of our political leaders, Activist and social media influencers are using Nigerians for money and fame with no intention of solving our problems. Nigeria has about 95 percent poverty rate, 30 million children out of school, 100 million youth unemployed, life ends at 40, 180 million people cannot afford healthcare, 60 percent of our roads are worse off. 2026 is the year of action to change these ugly statistics. I have plans already and over the course of the year Nigerians will see my action more than writing. Happy new year |
Health › Re: The Part Of HIV Care We Don’t Talk About Enough: "Privacy" by Sandralight(f): 2:29pm On Jan 02 |
I went for an HIV test on the 24th of December, I know I didn't have it, so I wasn't scared but I had to do it because I was very depressed some months ago and I lost so much weight, my Aunty insisted I go for full medical test because the older generation don't understand the concept of depression.
You have to have something physical doing you for them to have an explanation but when I was waiting for my results I keep thinking of people who have waited before me and they told them they are positive, what goes through their mind, how do you relate to living with HIV in this country where there are so many fake drugs, health care is very bad and the stigma of the disease.
Even tho I have been very serious with my health, I don't share needles or personal things with others, I do regularly check up on BP and sugar level, I exercise daily, I want to advice other to be very intentional about their health because when you live in a society like ours you have to be extremely careful so you won't die a premature death. |

Phones › Re: Help Please: How Can I Retrieve My Powerbank. by Sandralight(f): 6:11pm On Jan 01 |
saintbillion: The bank staff attending to us knows I actually borrowed him my powerbank, cause he wanted to set up his mobile app after collecting his atm. It was when i was been attended to, that was when he left prior to my notice. So immediately i alerted the bank staff. She sort the man form and extracted his number cause it wasn't that long. They called him at first and ask him to come immediately for his atm card verification. He said he was close he is coming. I waited until around 3:45pm. They called him again and he said is that guy that he collected his powerbank still there abi? Then he cut the call. I waited again until after 4. I told the bank staff to pls give me his phone number. They said no. That i should come back on Tuesday they will reach him. So they said i should drop my contact details which i did. On Tuesday i went there again. They called him but he began blocking their numbers. I went to the a police station near by. They said the bank staff suppose give me his number since they are aware and the man also admitted he collected the powerbank. So they said i should write statement. And I'll also need court order and it will cost me money too i just left the police station cause i presume the stress won't be here Sorry about your plight it's very painful but if you get money follow the case, make sure he return the powerbank and the other expenses you will spend. The man is very wicked Chai But if it's too stressful for you that man will met his Karma 🙏 |

Sorry OP, this is very painful but also very funny.
Like the man had the mind to say he won't bring the powerbank back like the audacity, he isn't even scared that they will trace his account number or anything.
The way Nigerians steal nowadays eh and they don't even see it as stealing, this man go don talk say he dey smart and God don butter his bread. |
