All this is probably due to scarcity mindset, here in Africa or Nigeria we have so many corrupt leaders that have stolen a lot of our resources and there is so much poverty in the country/Africa.

There is hopelessness in the land, which makes a lot of people turn to the church, if you look at countries that works, there is less religious people, since times memorial people always turn to church whenever they are going through hardships.

Tribalism mostly comes from people thinking their tribal person will have their backs than another tribes during this Hardship, I mean we have a long history dating back to the Civil War on tribalism.

So when this people goes to a country that works, USA, Europe with good Healthcare when a person faint and the first thought isn't to pray or throw holy water on the person but to do CPR or firstaid and where emergency services works, where standard of living is high, where human lives have value,
Where your rights as a person is respected and not because you have money or connections.

This people start stop worrying about basics things and focus on personal goals and community, they realize that tribalism is so meaningless.

Basically what I am trying to say Sir is when you live in a system that works, you find so many things outdated and that is why many people that travel abroad mindset usually change

Thank you for your advice. I was planning for a mega give away but if it is fuelling drugs, and other things then my give away is suspended till further notice and my money directed to community needs in different part of the Country.

You are right. The actual reason that I asked OP that question is because OP does not really want his children. From Op's previous posts, his new relationship is not working out well so he wants to get back to his ex and she refuses. So OP wants to ensure that she is so occupied with the kids 24/7 that she does have the time to find a new partner.
I knew that OP would not answer me because it is not about his children; it is about keeping his ex at home.

So you didn't pay your children fees and feeding for 10 months because you are angry with the mother, so where was she supposed to keep the children when she is going for a course outside Lagos because it's obvious you are not an option, because if you care so much about your kids you would have gone to your in-law house to collect them and let them stay with you but you choose to punish them because the mother disrespected you.

I am even sure you haven't even seen your kids for 10 months or even talk to them, all I am getting is you trying to control your ex with the kids and getting pissed off she has a support system and doesn't even need your money.

If you want your kids so much, pay your in-law the money, maybe negotiate to pay small small, move them to stay with you or you can be bringing them every weekend, I am sure they are fine in their grandparents house, for the grandparents to pay their school fees and all means he is a kind man

I downloaded a money tracking app on my phone and I put any money I spend to the smallest amount and now I know how much I spend on things especially the unnecessary things and this was able to make me cut those things out.
It's really a game changer
