According to this, there should be a lot of vacancies to be filled out at the level 8 entrance level... How do they then get level 8 GD officers...
If the last recruitment was ten years ago and it takes five years for promotion how did they close the gap of level 8 GD to start recruiting only SS

Where they said “Such people in those kind of disciplines are usually recruited and sent to Customs College for training,” probably referring to GD..
Does that mean that support staff doesn't do serious training..
So many complications...

support staff are professional in their various field they are also fully Custom Officer
But when it comes to operation General Duty will always take over I mean lead the operation even if the GD is the lowest rank among them

Well! From my own understanding I think Support Staff are professional in their field of study and they will be posted to their various fields. Eg doctor,nurse,IT.
While general duty are posted to different operation unit. They do the main customs operations.

It's quite confusing as all levels 8 are support staff from the initial recruitment advert...
I hope to head a command someday, so I'm wondering if they'll push some of us to GD

My source (DCC) sha told me that everyone shortlisted and went for screening passed and that was then in March

From the last recruitment on their website, level 8 training was definitely at Ikeja, Lagos

It might be the same this time around or maybe it would be split into Ikeja and Abuja... But from my understanding Abuja is for senior staffs

Don't worry they'll call us, as i heard today, the reason behind this another delay is minister of finance have been traveling with president to New work City, but them back home today, so if she review the promotion list tomorrow maybe they'll release our list on Friday if she didn't review it tomorrow then perhaps we'll expect the final list on second week of October or 25 October,

Note: please I'm not saying surely they'll release it this month or 25 October I don't want people to start attacking me with harsh word's, i know some people will even insult me.

So let's just keep on praying.
