Onye na-azụ, means the person that rears.

Atụrụ means sheep.
Ehi means cow.

Onye nche/ndị nche means the security person/people; and this is a better translation for herdsman. Herdsman not only rear but they ensure the security of their animals - in Nigeria case since they go with AK-47, it's more appropriate.
