It's simple Economics
Stop being unnecessarily sentimental
you are the ignorant one

Russia economy is oil dependent

How is that exporting more than you import

Oil price is high now

once it goes low, oil dependent countries will feel the heat

you see nothing wrong in dictating to sovereign states what to do or not

Do you know invading Ukraine is part of bullying the baltic states?

Are you aware one of the points raised by Russia is that Ukraine should never have an Army of more than 50,000

How are they different? The Cuban missile crisis was one of the causes of the COLD WAR between US & RUSSIA(USSR). How is that any different today?
Cuba was not trying to join any military alliance with Russia

Russia was secretly building nuclear war head Silos in Cuba and it was discovered by the USA

It is a different thing

Do you know China have equivalent of IMF for Asia countries?

That is what it means to be a super power and reason i respect China a lot

They fight USA daily without firinga single bullet

Russia should establish a military alliance that anyone can join so their membership will be transparent

Not dictating the military alliance others can join

NATO should take away the excuses. There's no need for expanding NATO. I'M proWest but NATO's expansion in all honesty is a cause for concern for the world. Remember Edward Snowden
Expanding when Russia have been bullying everyone

Was it NATO that disbanded USSR? NO

so no one had the right to tell them to stop expanding

It's a military alliance which Russia wanted to join in the past but were rejected

The only reason Baltic nations are joining it is because Russia is bullying them, that's all

Some

Which is NATO abi

Do you ever think NATO will wake up and attack Russia the way Russia have been attacking Geogia and Ukraine?

Do you know if other Baltic states are not members of NATO that Russia would have invaded them?

Imagine invading former USSR countries

I understand your angle of opinion but Russia brought it all upon themselves

How you people think Germany is a poor country amaze me

They are one of the few that can move funds in Europe

Actually, EU banks on their funding more than UK and France joined together

Without them, arming Ukraine would have been very difficult since most weapons in Europe is manufactured by them

They are not the biggest customer of Russia by being poor

NATO is over doing it. Russia has legitimate concerns. NATO must stop expanding
Russia have no single legitimate concern

Germany and Russia were cause of the WWII so they can grab lands

Russia alone all over the world have grabbed lands from sovereign counties by means of Invasion

Its their neighbours that have concerns not Russia

They are bullies that do not know when to stop

The effect is much less in EU because they are not facing sanctions so can replenish baby food or basically anything through imports from all over the world.

On the other hand Russia is facing immense sanctions so cannot readily replenish stock.

The only areas EU are feeling the crunch is when it comes to those items they used to import from Russia. Now they diversify.

Russia is doomed and even Putin knows it. Their economy is expected to shrink by a whopping 15% this year and this would totally wipe out 15yrs of their growth. grin

EU is facing inflation of between 5% and 8%. But Russians are are having to cope with inflation of 20%.

Even their central bank has massively hiked interest rates to 20% grin

This is Russias worst economic chaos since the 1990s when their economy tanked by just 7%. This time it will be 15% this 2022 and that trend will continue in 2023. grin

We can effectively start reciting the requiem for Russia if this continues grin
The prople you are trying to educate do not read

Just give them 6 months to one year

They will see effects of the sanction on Russia

I'm starting to get really irritated by the Russian terrorists on Nairaland, these Russian terrorists need psychological evaluation.
Putin is a mad man, very delusional and a crazy despot that needs to visit a psychiatrist as early as tomorrow morning.
I have tried to balance my information on this mad war Russia started in Ukraine, but the more I try to be rational, the more I see why Putin is nothing but a mad man.
I don't understand why mad man Putin will not allow Ukrainians determine their own destiny, why should Russia, another foreign country believe it has the power to determine the political direction of another sovereign country.
Why not allow hold a referendum in Ukraine, that will be conducted by a neutral body like the United Nations to known if the citizens of Ukraine want to join NATO or the European Union.
That was the most sensical thing to do before Mad Man Putin rolled in the tanks.
I'm very happy the whole world has finally demystified Mad Man Putin,he's nothing but a delusional, mad, crazy, psyocotic kleptomaniac that will be killed in Russia by his own generals.
And for his mad cretins on Nairaland, the Almighty God will allow you experience what the citizens of Ukraine are suffering in the hands of the Russia.
The pain and the agony of the Ukrainians will be your portion for all these crazy propaganda you push out every day.
