This whole trial is joke - I would like to know what has been the end result of past trialsA very good point also! |
Oh please, forgive my frustration but EFCC could go jump into a ditch for all i care. People should stop being fooled by all the noise and no action and EFCC should just shut up unless they are ready to actually genuinely do anything. Can anyone please name one politician that is in jail today because of EFCC or ICPC or whatever cc? Is Ibori in jail? After all the hoopla that was caused and the noise and importance of the fact that Yardaua was in the states when this was going on and all that jazz, is he in jail? What about Odilli? Is the armed robber in jail? Has OBJ even been investigated despite that fact that his name seems to come up in every corrupt transaction being discovered? What about Igbenidion? All the noise that was made and what has happened? What about Iyabo? A whole senator people, a whole senator who has even been reported as turning up for work, and they can't "find" her? After the whole trial of Alams what happened? The trial took so long while he relaxed comfortably that by the time it was all over, they let him go because he had apparently "served" his time during the trial fiasco. So i ask you people please, unless i am missing something, which public thief is in jail today as a result of the EFCC? This government is actually adding insult to injury when they continue talking about this non existent rule of law as business as usual continues.Very good points. But I really believe that all these ex-govs will soon pay for what they've done. For Christ sake they stole billions from their people. Sam Egwu for example was so poor that he lived in a 2-bed flat before he assumed the position of being governor. You're right. The hell with the EFCC or WHATEVER CC! Thieves like Sam Egwu has already been exposed worldwide for the billions they stole, and one way or the other they will soon pay for the way they highjacked their nation! YOU BUNCH OF GREEDY MFs! |
I am guessing you mean the "SELECTIVE" wrath of EFCC? Cause that seems to be the way it has been working for a while now. You're right cuz that is the way things have been going. These ex-govs should have been prosecuted ages ago if it were not for the EFCC being so selective in their prosecution. |
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to charge two more ex-governors to court for corruption and money laundering after completing investigations into graft allegations against them. Read more by clicking on the link below. http://odili.net/news/source/2008/may/10/213.html I really hope it's these thieves that will soon be facing the wrath of EFCC. That goes double when it comes to SAM EGWU!!! ![]() |
I will die for America but I will not die for Nigeria! It's so unfortunate to say that it is so true |
Obasanjo used the EFCC to hunt those, among the corrupt, who also happened to be his enemies. Y'Adua is using the EFCC to shield those, among the corrupt, who happen to be his friends. In both cases, political interference is the greatest obstacle to a genuine, credible, effective, anti-corruption effort. Corruption is Nigerian's number 1 problem, and the number one perpetrators are politicians. Why are anti-corruption institutions still subjected to politicians and political appointees? And how the hell is it possible for someone to get a court injunction that practically grants him immunity from prosecution or arrest? Kalu got his judge-cousin at Umuahia to issue such an injunction, and now Odili is doing the same in Port Harcourt. This is ridiculous. Rule of law my anus! If the attorney general won't do his job, perhaps this will be a good time for us to take the issue to the higher courts and get proper interpretation or what a judge can rule or not rule. This whole system is f'ed-up! |
i choose not to beliee even a fullstop in thatstory till i personally see tv footage of baba in handcuffs and being dragged on the floor like tafa.that guy's crimes are greatThat goes double for me because im not going to believe a word of this till Sam Egwu is cuffed for what he's done with ebonyi's money. |
Well, what are we to say? The Judges's name should be published so that we can find out which Judges in our judicial system are corrupt - because Odili obviously paid this fool. Odili is a billionaire (in dollars) - Common Odili who didn't have two kobo before he became Governor. The same Odili who was vice-governor in the early 90's. God punish him!Just like Sam Egwu who's now a billionaire in dollars that didn't have anything before he became governor of ebonyi state. His trial was also mired in corruption, and he's still rich from ebonyi's loot and can't be touched. Odili's case will never go anywhere. |
It was time for him to step down anyway. He ruled for decades. Hopefully the Cubanos can now live in piece. |
why do you hate sam egwu so much? You don't even know him, or are you jealous of how lucky God has made him. Let me give u a little piece of advice, when someone is progressing it is better to be happy for the person. Beause if you are not happy for people you will never progress in your life. Sam Egwu has never done anything for me, but i know from experience that he is a very good man. And i can boldly tell you that God will help him in this election, and he is already the PDP chairman.Egwu is likely to win the election. But what else would be new? Our country's being run by thieves like Sam Egwu regardless. |
my people, if sam egwu is a thief as we all know, why is obasanjo now moving from state to state campaigning for him to become the national chairman?Because our country's dominated by thieves leading it. Obansanjo is the godfather of all these thieves, so it should not be a surprise. |
Igbinedion arrest is a step in the right direction. All corrupt officials from local govt level to federal govt level should be arrested. When is Peter Odili turn? When is Sam Egwu's turn? ![]() |
The nerve of this thief Sam Egwu trying to position himself to rob the people again. |
I completely agree, it needs to be uprooted from the very roots and no one else will do it but us.The soil and it's fertilizers are corrupt. So uprooting it wont do any good. Speaking of fertilizers, this Dr. Sam Egwu got a PhD in Agriculture. I guess he should know all about corruption being in the core of the soil and its fertilizers. ![]() |
IT is all UP To NIGERIANS like YOU AND I. There are millions of us outside of the COuntry who can right now come together to force the hand of government down there in Nigeria. There are millions more right there in Nigeria who can decide today to no longer accept crap from the government. Time is not the answer. We are the answer, are we going to do anything or continue to make excuses instead of applying the solutions which happen to be right in front of usAnd that's exactly what should be done! We need to take charge as the people! |
You can also Google the state web site if there's any to find out his achievement and compare it with the money allocated to the state in 8 years. The internally generated revenue, grants, LGA allocations and loans are not included. Also, if you Google "Dr. Sam Egwu," you'll fine how some of the media he's bribed, is quick to boast about how much of a good leader he is. But say that you were a traveler searching for a five star hotel, or you even wanted to stay at Sam Egwu's hotel, the first thing that would pop-up is that the hotel was purchased with public funds embezzled from the state. This is good exposure, because people worldwide should know the truth and nothing else but the truth that Sam and Eunice Egwu are thieves! Greedy thieves that are walking free. The biggest 419ers who orchestrated a monumental white collar crime deceiving and cheating to plunder the state's coffers, and that they got greasy and fat with the people's money! |
But Sam Egwu is gunning for the PEEDEEPEE chairmanship slot. How is it that the EFCC have not done anything to prosecute him?Because of power. That's why it's so hard to get looters like Dr. Sam Egwu convicted in the first play. They have billions, so they are able to bribe and blackmail easily. They buy their way out of being prosecuted because of greedy leaders running the prosecution system. Not to mention, it takes a special person who's not motivated by money to bring a thief like Sam Egwu to justice, a man who's truly motivated to helping the masses instead. Sam Egwu stole over N80 billion and left a deficit of N10 billion. That is close enough to being a billionair in United States Dollars. Why is it that he had nothing before he assumed office as governor of Ebonyi State, and during the early 2000s he instantly became a multi billionaira buying up every property he could lay his hands on? HE'S A THIEF!!! THIEF!!! THIEF!!! THIEF!!! And now he's running to be PDP Chairman waiting to deceive and embezzle more. |
http://allafrica.com/stories/200801070009.html LEADERSHIP gathered, the bureau prepared various "chargeable offences" against some of the governors before the 2007 general elections. For example, Sam Egwu, former governor of Ebonyi State, was discovered to have falsified his declaration of assets, allegedly built the five-star Grace Court Hotel when he was a public officer, which was not declared he owned; a duplex in his home town, which was acquired between 1999 and 2003 during his first tenure but not declared in 2003; jointly built an international school with his spouse with state funds. |
While the people are suffering, Sam Egwu and his family are getting fatter with the funds they stole. What a selffish and evil mentality. Your own African nation who are deeply in need! Wow! N80 billion! That's why it's hard to trust religious people. The more holy they are, the more evil they're capable of doing. It's a front displayed to deceive and cheat, and Sam Egwu is an example of that. |
