MINIMUM OF 28 DAYS

Thanks for the reply.

Does that mean one need to show only a 28 days bank statement?

Anyone used Turkish Airlines recently, were you allowed to bring a carry-on baggage and a personal bag?

Also how strict are they with the 23 Kg baggage limit?

I used Turkish air few days ago but to come to Nigeria, if you exceed 23kg you would have to pay more.

For those asking if the level 5 restrictions will affect travel, No it doesn’t affect. You can come from the airport and go to the airport.
But when you reach your destination you are not allowed under the level 5 restrictions to go beyond 5km from where you stay.

Good morning aspirants,

Assuming you have offers from both schools in IT/ Business programmes, which school will you prefer and why?

National College of Ireland (NCI) VS Dublin Business School (DBS)

NCI is one of the best in country. I’d go for NCI

Please advice. Thanks.

Thanks, the thing is most of the sites for accommodations are not opening here, rent.ie, property.ie

Rent.ie, daft.ie and property.ie will hardly reply your message (even Europeans complain about that as well) and some of my friends even say if you manage to get viewings, they may be very racists or picky and say we will get back to you, property.ie are for people looking to buy not rent.

My advice will be, there is a Facebook group where houses, apartments, rooms and space are advertised by landlords or care takers who are looking for students to rent their place. Check it out and everyday you see people posting ads to rent their place. All the best .

For those asking for prove of funds and all, I did education bond when coming here and I did not have to show any sponsors account, I paid the 7k euro and Edu sent me a receipt I attached the receipt with my documents I submitted to the embassy, I only get a letter (preferable a letter head I did not show any company’s registration certificate ) from my mom saying what she does and that she is my sponsor and that I have paid my fee and did the education bond.

For those asking for cheap school, Dit is the cheapest, and among the best in the country but around 8-12k (but it’s highly competitive)

Dbs, Griffith is from 11,500 to 13k

Nci, university of limerick and UCC are among the best fee range from 12k to 16k

Trinity and UCD are the best but fee is from 16k to 35k.

Feel free to ask any question

I am here in Ireland now. to be honest you will have to wait until july to get a full understanding of what is going on, currently In Ireland we have a 21 days self isolation (not 14 days) but until 9th of July. The prime minister announced yesterday that there will be list of countries published that can come into Ireland without self isolation but the European Union will decide that.

As for hostel accommodation, they are closed until 29th June. In general 29th everything will be opened, we started with phase 1, 2 and 3 we have been successful with dealing the virus, cases for the last one month has been around 4-30 cases. So that’s why the economy will be opened on 29th.

On the accommodation you can get a place, from Nigeria but most landlords will first ask for deposits to keep the place.

Hi, please I made a payment of 12035euros for my tution fee and 21.22euros was even charged as bank charges.
But wen GC sent my receipt 12015euros was stated as amount paid.

Hope this won't be a red flag during Visa application??

Is not a red flag, but the school will ask you to pay the remain, even if it’s 1 euro. You might not necessarily pay it from Nigeria but when you reach Ireland prepare their euro(s) To give them.

First of all you need to know where your visa application is processed. It's either at Abuja Embassy or INIS Dublin. In my case it was Irish Embassy Abuja, so checking on the link below with my AVATS number every week. That's how u can find out

https://www.dfa.ie/irish-embassy/nigeria/our-services/visas/weeklydecisionreports/

The refuses here no be small thing o..

You are directing your anger to a wrong person, she did not ban or hide your post i did, advertising anything here is not allowed and foreign students looking for accommodation should avoid contacting a stranger to arrange for one so as to avoid being scammed.

Nobody is calling you a scammer but one has to be proactive

The same way you took down my post take down my my mobile number.
Because the same people you are warning are sending messages to my phone number for the same accommodation.
And then carry your group on your head .

Guy I do not think it is not compulsory to force your vacant space on the newbies except you have some hidden agenda.

Everyone eventually settles down in Ireland after a few weeks of facing some accommodation challenges. It is quite a minor issue not worth over flogging.

Going by what I read up there, well she does a legitimate service and gets paid. That's her line of business and there is nothing unscrupulous about that.

Still do not fathom why you sent her insulting messages on WhatsApp and expect not to get blocked or some form of unpleasant reaction. Even if you want to monetize/advertise your claim of 'free accommodation' and she does not allow you use her platform then move on and try another platform. Rather than sitting down and begrudging.

If you are not happy that she exposed your mobile number here I suggest that you send a message to the mods. However that was the direct result of your action of sending those unsolicited messages.

In all, let's learn to embrace decorum. There is always a better way of doing things without rancour if our motives are indeed genuine.

And to all, lets indeed thread with caution if we are to contact anyone from this forum.

I thought the woman was being funny, this is more ridiculous. Forcing? You say, (hopefully you understand what the meaning of force is ) I have never come on Nairaland to force anyone to rent.
What I put out here was simply the address, how far it was to colleges, the facilities in the house and if anyone had questions they should ask, I did not in any way ask anyone for money, or ask anyone to send money, or did I say it was for free, the accommodation is not free (pls read before you type) a friend of mine (that we both on this forum had come to our house and saw we had vacancies and asked me to post it here).

Please before you sit in your house and label me a scam or whatever you want to spill out, know that there just people out there who has others in mind. My housemates are Brazilians and they will try as much to post vacancies in their own Brazilian groups to their get people into houses.

Before you will label me, carry your group and go.

A lot of unstable people out there . If you're going to ireland and anyone advertises accommodation please don't pay anyone until you arrive and you're absolutely sure.

This person sent the following messages.

I intentionally left her number uncovered so everyone can be on the look out.

Cheers

Here guys, I am the unstable one who sent this woman a message,

I am a student here in Dublin like everyone, given the hassle student go through in Dublin to get a place to rent, I thought i was being nice by sharing vacant accommodation to student who needs it, in our house, I’m NOT the landlord, I am a tenant in this house, I never asked anyone for money I only put out vacant space here, to help those who needs it. This women who runs a study abroad agency, the school pays her to bring student to Ireland and when they are done with admission they leave Students hanging, she started this thread to pretend like she is only helping people to answer question but meanwhile she is running a study abroad agency.
Why did she clean out her student agency info and left my number. I can only guess you are hiding something, you want to be in the good light and put me in the bad light. I accept, but atleast I am genuinely helping student.

Here is my own screen shots, with the complete message and her info.
By the way she blocked me from WhatsApp.

By the way you have no right whatsoever to put out my number in a public place like this .

GUYS SHE IS GOING TO DELETE THIS POST.
If you do and don’t allow people to see my own side of the story , I will started a new thread with this same study in Ireland starting with your name to call you out.
