Don't take away the power of the people. Fellow Nigerians, this time 2015, it was impossible to believe that an incumbent president can lose election in Nigeria. PDP the ruling party then has once bragged how they will rule Nigeria for 60 years, and most Nigerians actually believe that they will indeed rule Nigeria for 60 years or more. during the 2015 election the main opposition party then (APC) never believed that they will win, this could be evident in them threatening to form a parallel Govt. if the incumbent wins. Thats how strong the power of the incumbent was in Nigeria. Unfortunately or fortunately the main opposition won and before they could finish counting the results the then president called and congratulated the winner to everyone's imagination and surprised. the rest they say is history. the good news is this, that victory in 2015 was not the victory for the APC, it was victory for the Nigerian people, for once they believed that indeed their vote can un-seat an incumbent. they now know that any Govt. that does not perform will be voted out. Today election is here again, the opposition then is the incumbent today, every one has seen his performance is very audible to the deaf and clear to the blind. the hunger and hardship in the land, the herds men killing, the monumental corruption going on. today Nigeria is the capital of the poorest in the world, over 91 million Nigeria are living in abject poverty, yet over 10 billion dollars has be borrowed over the last 3 years. it has never been this bad, if you will be honest to your self you will agree with me that it has never be this bad. there are those that will vote for the APC tomorrow despite the monumental failure of this administration base on the following; 1. They are members of APC 2.Tribe 3. They were asked to vote for APC because a relative is benefiting from the government. 4. they were given some stipends by some politicians etc. 5. The deceived 6. Religion those that will vote for APC because of any of the above reasons will be the first to cry few months into the new administration, but thats not my issue. I have a personal appeal to all those that has seen the gross failure and incompetent of the APC Government and yet wants to vote for it to please dont take away the power of the people. The power of the people lies in their collective will to take a decision and see that decision through. Whether you like it or not the politicians are one and they are united, reason why they can easily move from one party to another without issues just to continue looting our collective wealth. so its the politicians vs the people, there are no two ways about it. We the people wants to use our PVCs tomorrow to tell the politicians that they are our employees, therefore they are answerable to us, if they dont perform we have the power to vote them out. Atiku is not a saint, but he is a better choice than Buhari. Voting out Buhari tomorrow is sending a clear message to the politicians that power is coming back to the people and we shall use it wisely. voting out Buhari tomorrow is sending a clear message to the politicians that if you dont perform we will vote you out. Remember is the politicians vs the people, dont divide our vote, come out lets collectively vote our failure and incompetennce, if Atiku and PDP fails we will vote them out too in 2023. its time for the politicians to understand that they are there to serve us, if they fail in that duty, we will vote them out, simple. Thank you and God bless you richly. A concerned Nigeria |
Smile4daddy:If you vote for PMB , you and your family will be moving to the next level of suffering, Continue. |
Its laughable how we think that something that has not worked since independence will start working now. The solution to our many problems is restructuring. Its only a fool that will keep doing the same thing over & over again & expect a different result. For Nigeria to have constant power all we need do is to decentralise power. Let the regions produce, generate, and distribute power to states in that region only. What ever short comings we have in those regions, they will manage it and build up for the long run. But with this, am sorry to say there is no hope in sight for the power sector. |
Those in the helms of APC affair are already aware that they are going home 2019. it's unfortunate that some Nairalanders that do not understand politics are still shouting from the comfort their mother's house "Buhari till 2023" When those that are at the corridors of power benefiting from APC shout Buhari till 2023, Youths that are bearing the burden of Buhari wicked and directionless leadership will be supporting them. Shame. |
Fellow Nigerians since the emergence of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar as the Presidential Candidate of the main opposition party the PDP. majority of Nigerians have been divided between the two major contestants of the APC and the PDP. some are divided along ethnic lines some along religious lines others along party lines and some others are because of the current situation of the country. There are also others that are not fans of either candidates, for them, the two men should go and rest and let's give a breed new politician an opportunity. There is no path of Social media you go that these discussions or debates have not taken centre stage but the surprising thing is that everyone agrees we have a problem as a nation and everyone understands what those problems are, the only difference is that everyone have a different approach to how this problems can be solved. That is the reason why we all have our different candidates which we believe can reduce or solve some path of these problems. If the above is truth, then let's talk. mind you am neither an APC or PDP member am only a Nigerian youth looking for a better country. Okorocha why admonishing APC party faithfuls and by extension the whole South East, told them that one major reason why they should vote for PMB during the 2019 general election is so that after his (PMB) tenure he will handover to the south east in 2023. On Thursday 25 October in Ibadan, the Minister of Power, works and housing, Babatunde Fashola urged the people of South West to vote for PMB to enable a power shift to the region by 2023. My question is how can these two high profile members of the ruling party be giving contradicting information in such a sensitive matter as this. are you sure these two men are in the same APC? Its either they are telling outright lies to their people or they are not telling themselves the truth even inside the APC. |

Oshiomole is doing a good job, let him continue while we articulate. |
Isiomabright:When the righteous (Good) rule the people rejoice but when the wicked rule the people laments as seen in Nigeria in the past 3 years. |
Isiomabright:Our elections were not free of flaws during the era of PDP but certainly it was not this bad. Looking at what happened in Osun, is an embarrassment and a rape to our democracy. |

Atiku Abubakar will be the next president of Nigeria come 2019, he is the only one l see that is ready for the job. Before you tell me of Buhari, Buhari does not even understand what happens around him, he has not be able to manage his party APC, how can he manage Nigeria, reason why everything is going down the valley since three years. Check the price of every commodity before he came and the price of those things now, facts don't lie. They will tell you Atiku is corrupt, l can tell you with facts & figures that the looting going on in this administration is legendary compared to other administrations, you know why, that's because the man supposedly incharge, does not understand what's happening around him so the wicked politicians re using that advantage to loot continuously. So the question you will ask me is why Atiku? l will tell you. Atiku is a man that has fought for the presidency in different parties, fought different people, fell out with friends, embrace enemies all in the bid to get the presidency. so if he gets it now, he will want to show the world that he was driven by passion and patriotism rather than greed. He will wants to prove his critics wrong that felt he is corrupt and that he is coming to steal. He will wants to work and be transparent in order to redeem his image, don't forget he is a business man. Atiku is a major stakeholder in the business community, he will need to keep a united, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria in order for his business to strive beyond this generation. Finally fellow Nigerians, we have tried Buhari and we all have seen the result, let's try someone else and don't tell me of youth because am yet to see the youth that have the wherewithal to run an election in today Nigeria. God bless you greatly. |
Funny how Nigerians think in this 21 century, you will not vote for a man that knows what it takes to create job but you will defend and vote for a man that can't create one job for his children how much more for Nigerians. You indeed deserve the Leaders you have. |
[quote author=danowena post=52889782]I don't understand the logic behind it but one thing I know is that MMM is not desperate. If MMM was despirate, they would have matched me long ago. I have PHed 3 Million naira and I am waiting patiently to be matched so I can pay immediately. I believe if MMM was drowning or sinking as the media seem to portray, they would have used the opportunity of those of us that have PHed in large figures to pay up those that GHed in small figures (but it won't be funny making those bank transactions as the number of people to be paid could be up to 50). I know so many of my colleagues (over 15) that PHed 500K and above but are waiting patiently to be matched. So please, everyone should calm. I have a provide help of #1.7m, am yet to be matched. |
[quote author=DRIFTyKING post=52100389]The governor of the eastern heartland, Gov Rochas Okorocha has declared a 3 week public holiday in Imo state. This is long over due, however the time to act is now, the place to act is Nigeria and the participates are the Nigerian youths, the politicians are having a field day on our common wealth because we have refused to act, lets not just protest, lets occupy, lets make our voice to be heard, lets ensure the constitution which they have made to favour them is amended in such a way that the country will make speedy progress, in Economy, in man power development, in Education, in industrialization, in the health sector, in the oil and gas sector etc,. After that lets ensure the amended constitution is fully implemented without cutting corners. Lets bear in mind that this action is not a trial and error by the faint hearted, we must ensure we know what we want, our voice must be one, our purpose united and collective and we must understand our common enemy in this struggle is the Nigerian politician that have squandered our wealth, weather he (the politician) is from the North or south, Christian or Muslim, brother or not, PDP or APC, we must see them as our common enemy and we the youths as one body no matter where you are from or your religion we must see our self as one. Only then can we achieve our purpose. |
Happy birthday Sir, wishing u many many more years ahead in Jesus name, Amen. |
We warned them but they never listen. |
