Lack of Self Improvement

Some good girls don’t improve themselves. The message of being a ‘virtuous woman’ has robbed some good girls of intelligence. They have specific topics they talk about and respond to. When you go to a gathering of some good girls, you will hardly find them discussing highly intellectual stuff. Engage some of them in discussions on politics, finance, business, and you will find that they are mostly ignorant in some of these areas. But when it comes to discussions on how to be consistent in your prayer and word life, or becoming a virtuous woman, they are good. No man wants a dull lady in his life.

Packaging Sense

In a bid to be "spiritual", some good girls lose their femininity. It is good to engage in spiritual activities to grow in God, but when those activities begin to take away the feminine touch from a lady and makes her look like a man, it is not good. No man wants to marry another man. Even a Pastor wants a lady with her femininity alive; nice makeup, good shape, sweet smell, nice hairdo, cool dress sense, etc. Don't you see their wives? Some good girls fail to keep their femininity alive. They’ve been deceived by the "character is all that matters" saying, which is not entirely true. In most cases, it is beauty first before character. No matter how it is re-echoed that people should not judge books by their cover that is the exact thing that happens. Books will always be judged by their covers. When I walk into a bookstore, the packaging of a book determines to a great extent whether or not I will proceed to check the content of the book. The beauty of the clothes on a mannequin standing outside a boutique is what attracts people to see what is inside the boutique. The cloth sellers place it
outside so that their potential customers can have an idea of what is inside the boutique. The container of a product is just as important as the content. Men naturally are driven by what they see. A ‘bad’ girl will know the right things to do in order to get a man to notice her, and keep him glued to her. She will make sure she keeps being dynamic until she gets what she wants. After getting the man, she still won’t let her guards down. She’ll try as much as possible to be what that man wants and needs.
A ‘good girl’ on the other hand will most likely not do any of these probably because her beauty is on the inside. That was on a lighter note. Many good girls don’t have Packaging Sense. If only they knew those good men are drawn by what they see too. And this has nothing to do with nudity. No matter how exceptional a lady’s character may be, it will have to be
‘marketed’ in a beautifully and properly packaged container for most men to see. It is beauty first before character. Even Jesus was first of all attracted by the leaves on the fig tree in Mark 11. The Bible recorded that Jesus was hungry (so he was in search of something). The next thing that happened was that He ‘noticed’ a fig tree afar off having leaves. He was attracted by the leaves he saw on the fig tree. And then he came to see if he might find anything on it. Ever wondered why three to four guys keep seeing visions concerning the beautiful sister in the church that packages herself well while the others are still trusting God for life partners? Most good girls lack packaging sense and think the character will cover for it. It does not work that way.

Overfamiliarity

Many good girls don’t know that a close male friend could be a potential husband. Many often say they can’t marry their friends. "He’s just a friend," they say. Who else should be a partner if not a friend turned lover? There are many good girls with good male friends in their lives but they prefer to keep them in the 'friend zone' even when it’s obvious that these guys like them. They ‘friend-zone’ these guys and keep praying that God sends them ‘Mr
Right’. And while they are praying to God to send their life partners to them, He is waiting for them to recognize the one He positioned in their lives disguised as friends.

I woke up one morning disturbed at heart as I thought deeply on the subject “Why Good Girls Remain Single.” These are ladies that have spent their lives shunning the wayward lifestyle. They are the morally justified set of girls who have dedicated their lives to God and have decided to walk in His ways. These sets of girls are popularly called the “churchy” girls.

All through the week I kept reading posts on different social media platforms where writers kept encouraging ladies to wait for their men. And they kept teaching them what to do while they waited. “Mr Right is on his way.” They said. The question that kept running through my mind and I believe the same was the case in the minds of some of these ladies was “When is he going to come?” There are ladies that heard the “Mr Right is on the way” story when they were 27 years old, now they are 33 and he hasn’t arrived yet. So when is he going to finally arrive? When they’ve clocked 40? After so much thought on the matter, I decided to talk to a few people to get their opinions on what they thought were the reasons why ‘good’ girls remained single while ‘bad’ girls got married Saturday after Saturday. I gathered a few things which I would be sharing with you in the succeeding pages

An Entitlement Mentality

Some good girls think life or the world owes them something for being good. Just because they "kept" themselves, they sometimes think it is an automatic ticket to finding a good man.

In his book, Why Bad Things Happen to Good People, Mute Efe gave a perfect illustration which he called “The Classic Good-Girl-Bad-Girl.”

“Miss X is a bad girl. Bad as in the whole nine yards. While in school she was the typical “runs girl”. A new boyfriend every semester, clubbing every weekend, and using what she has to get her grades. In the process she had a few abortions. Miss Y on the other hand was a good girl. You can predict her movement – class, fellowship, market, and hostel. She had no time for boys. That was not what she came to school to do. She was a virgin. A year after graduation Miss X, the bad girl, got married. It’s been 10 years now. Miss Y, the good girl, is in her mid-thirties, not married and still a virgin. What happened? The most common response you get to the good-girl bad-girl case I just shared is, “life is not fair.”

Now let’s go to the theatre and place both ladies under the knife. While Miss X was the bad girl, in the process she got to know men and what men want. She understood what respect means to a man. She understood that men are attracted to beautiful things and how men love sex. From the number of guys that dumped her and married other ladies she got to understand what a man is looking for when he is looking for a wife. She got books on relationship to 'up her game' so she could get into the minds of guys. So immediately after graduating she decided to get serious and the next guy she dated proposed to her. Miss Y never knew all that. She believed prayer was the key. She fasted and went for vigils. She made positive confessions daily. She was speaking her husband into being. And there is nothing wrong with all these. But she dressed like she was in the 70’s. she never read a single book on relationship. And knew nothing about what men want.

Question: In the light of the above do you think life was unfair to the good girl in her still being single ten years after school even though she is a virgin? I don’t think so. Husband is not a reward for virginity.”

Mute Efe was not in any way encouraging a wayward life. Neither was he against virginity. His point is simple. “That you are a good girl or a good guy does not absolve you from the consequences of not knowing how relationships work.”

For every area of life, there are principles that govern it. Life will not excuse you for violating any of them because you are a good girl or a good guy. The sun shines on both the righteous and the unrighteous. The rain also falls on both the good and the bad. The same principle applies to everyone – good or bad. It is good to be good but being good is not the only condition to get a man.

David who showcased his miracle product during the Science Week Exhibition hosted by The Faculty of Natural Science explained how he accidentally discovered during the course of a waste to energy management survey around his vicinity that fruit and vegetable ends and odds could be turned into multipurpose enzyme solutions which he called Eco-E.

These are excellent household helpers which can serve as an effective household and laundry cleaner, air purifier, car wash, cleanser and even organic fertilizer of which he has been able to DIY fresh kitchen waste at negotiable cost, producing an effective multipurpose solution that is useful and beneficial to the environment.

According to the genius, the aim of the development of eco-E is to promote healthy living, curb food wastage and support a conducive garbage free environment by producing eco-friendly homemade natural cleaners such as (organic bleach, pot scrubs, dish, toilet and fabric washers, disinfectants, body care solutions, air freshener and purifier, fertilizers, pesticides and insecticides) from 100% organic fruit, food or vegetable wastes as alternatives to all their chemical counterparts which contain toxic substances.
During the test run of the product, eco-E while used as a disinfectant was seen to last 72 hours longer than almost 5 different regular chemically induced disinfectant in the country. While in comparison with the regular dish and fabric washers, the cleaning ability of the product was also seen to be 3 times more effective and faster in breaking down oils, blood and even cashew juice stains. Not to also forget to mention how effective it is in purifying waste and domestic water.

Kemen has come out to finally reveal what happened between he and TBoss as he made the revelation to Punch newspaper.

He made this known in an interview with PUNCH’s Sunday Scoop.

“I believe that Nigerians are very brilliant people and I’ve decided to care less about what is said on social media. The truth lies with me and TBoss.

I want Nigerians to realise that the organisers know more than they do. We are in a country where people have the freedom to express themselves and we’re all entitled to our opinions.

Some people might see something as right while some other people might view the same thing as wrong, so it has been a battle of words. On that night, I slept before Tboss and I used the duvet that was on the bed to cover myself.

When Tboss came to bed, she used the other duvet. When I wanted to go back to sleep, I attempted to cuddle her. In the course of doing that, I had to lift the duvet that was between us.

My hand movement that was seen on camera was me trying to make way through the duvet and get close to her. She woke up immediately I wrapped my hands around her; opened the duvet and adjusted her body so she could move closer to me.

And that was where the video stopped. Tboss always slept in a three-quarter short and a spaghetti top which she used as a nightgown. She is not a deep sleeper. She also has the highest stack of alcohol in her cupboard because she rarely drinks.

Borussia Dortmund's headquarters were evacuated on Wednesday after the discovery of a white powder that turned out to be harmless icing sugar!

The offices in Rheinlanddamm were forced into lockdown when employees found an envelope full of a suspicious substance.

Up to 40 firefighters were called in to the HQ as fears of a chemical terror attack, similar to those reported in 2001 in the United States, grew.

That famous outbreak centred around the sending of envelopes filled with the poisonous substance to two Democrat senators and several media outlets.

But happily, the Bundesliga club's scare turned out to be an elaborate hoax.


Big thanks to the Dortmund fire brigade. We recieved a suspicious envelope with white powder today," Dortmund said in a statement.

"For security reasons, we evacuated the building completely for about one hour. The powder was investigated in a mobile laboratory.

Flavour N’abania Biography.
This article is about Chinedu Izuchukwu Okoli, popularly known by his stage name Flavour N’abania. Flavour N’abania is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and performer.

Flavour N’abania was born on 23rd November 1983 in Enugu State, Nigeria. He hails from Umunze, Orumba South LGA, Anambra State, Nigeria. Flavour N’abania is the first son of a family of four children and seven half brothers and sisters.

Flavour N'abania is well known for his flair in Highlife music which is blended with a modern selling point of Afro hiphop.

Flavour N'abania started his music profession at his local chapel as a drummer in Enugu State. Flavour is also very skilled in playing guitar, and keyboards. Flavour was just 13 years when he began participating in the drums for his chapel choir in Enugu.

In 1996, Flavour through the influence of his local church pastor got connected with the owner of soundcity communications, a music company of repute with the passion to train young Nigerians in the art of music making, performance and others basics. Flavour N’abania was fortunate enough to earn a scholarship to train and learn the basics of music while at Soundcity communications.

In 1999, Flavour N’abania moved on from playing the drums and started playing the keyboard with the determination to become a professional in the future. He also used to provide backing vocals for other musicians at SoundCity, that was before he rose to stardom actually.

When he started singing professionally, he moved from Enugu state to Lagos. Flavour met with resistance at home at the beginning of his music career but his dream and passion for music kept him going and he didn’t give up on his career , Flavour has climbed to the apex of Nigerian music Scene to become one of the richest Nigerian Musicians and is loved by almost every Nigerian who has come in contact with his musical works.

Flavour N’abania became popular when he released his second album titled “Uplifted”. The album was released by Lolhiphop records based in south Africa, which included popular tracks “Nwa Baby”a remix of “Ashawo” and “Adamma” which translates as Daughter of beauty in Igbo language. Flavour N’abania mostly uses his local dialect, the Igbo language in most of his songs.

Flavour N’abania has released four albums since his music career commenced and they are: N’abania (2005), Uplifted (2010), Blessed (2012) and Thankful (2014).

Flavour N’abalia has a daughter with Sandra Okagbue, named Gabrielle and another with Ex-beauty Queen and actress Anna Ebiere Banner named Sophia.

Mercy Johnson-Okojie, has been appointed by Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State, as his senior special assistant on entertainment, arts and culture.


Johnson was appointed alongside 53 other Senior Special Assistants on Tuesday. The position is the 32-year-old actress’s first political appointment in her home state and it will be effective from April 1.

The Ogun State Police Command says it has arrested four suspected robbers, who allegedly snatched a Sport Utility Vehicle belonging to the Vice-Chancellor of the Crawford University, Igbesa, Ogun State, Prof. Rotimi Ajayi.

The suspects were identified as Adewale Rasaq( 27), Keneth Ohimai(38), Segun Idike(19) and Hassan Musa(25).

The state Police Public Relations Officer, Abimbola Oyeyemi, said the robbers had dispossessed Ajayi of his Toyota Highlander along Atan-Igbesa Road on January 27, 2017.

The robbers were also said to have stolen his five mobile phones, an iPad and some money.

Oyeyemi said the robbers were arrested on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, at their hideout at Seme Border by the operatives of the Federal Special Anti-Robbery Squad after a gun duel.

He said, “Immediately the matter was reported, the operatives of the SARS went on the trail of the hoodlums.

“Their effort paid off when the operatives received vital information about their hideout in Seme Border and they stormed the place.

“The robbers engaged the team in a gun duel which lasted for about an hour. At the end of the encounter, four members of the gang were arrested namely; Adewale Rasaq, Keneth Ohimai, Segun Idike and Hassan Musa.

“The fifth suspect, Joseph Housus, who escaped with gun injuries, was later arrested at Ajase in the Republic of Benin, where he went for treatment.”

Oyeyemi, an Assistant Superintendent of Police, said efforts were being made to extradite Housus to Nigeria.

He said items recovered from the robbers’ hideout, he said included four pump-action guns, one locally-made pistol and 30 live cartridges.

He said on interrogation, they confessed to being the persons that robbed the VC and said the Toyota Jeep had been sold off to Republic of Benin.

Oyeyemi further explained that the command was working in conjunction with the security agents in the Republic of Benin for possible recovery of the vehicle.

The state Commissioner of Police, Ahmed Iliyasu, commended the gallantry display of the FSARS men and advised them not to rest on their oars until the state was rid of crime and criminality.
