Some people don't just think big. They're fine with being mediocre.

I have vowed never to be a slave to paid employment.

There's no single person on Forbes list who is under paid employment. Our problem in this part of the world is that we are too scared of trying new things.
Too scared?

I think the risk is steep. No room for mistakes

Yooo!! So was waiting for word back from First Bank after my AC. Once I read that success mails were already flying out about 3 weeks ago for AC candidates I lost interest and decided to move forward with my life because I was not going to wait for several weeks/months just to get word back!

Long story short, I got an offer yesterday from a top international tech firm with presence here in Nigeria with a pay 3 times what we were speculating First Bank pays their GT. I was blindsided by this offer. Needless to say I accepted it!

Essentially from November I will be a dope boy with more money I have ever seen!

I hope me falling out of the GT process opens up room for another person to fill my spot!

Everybody will get a shot guys, everybody will. Just exercise some patience and play your position all the while.

Now, if you will excuse me, I need to make a list of all the girls that thought I wasn't sh!t in high school. #OperationPythonDanceOnTheseHoes!

you have to apply through the course website. there's no application fee
I guess some program accept medium of instruction but it is always better to use a standard test like ielts. it will boost your chances. you can inform them that you have already registered for it
where can I find the application link?

This is where being unsuccessful starts from...excuses! the GTP test had 20 verbal questions,20 simple logic,16 numerical reasoning and 16 current affairs except of course you wrote a different test. The current affairs had just very few banking related questions so I wonder where exactly you saw financial accounting questions. Just say you weren't prepared and prepare harder for this one with determination to make it this time and you are good.

Ps: almost all my group members at the ac were science graduates and they passed the same test plus your forthcoming test is going to be administered by HCP and not dragnet and the test I did at the AC was not accounting related and it wasn't "moinmoin" either so just go and prepare!!! wink
I am yet to get invite for AC, am I safe?
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Mastercard Foundation Scholars Program 2018 At Michigan State University, USA by Saverin: 11:46am On Sep 24, 2017
IbnIbrahim:
Mastercard Foundation has partnered with Michigan State University to provide full tuition scholarships to Master’s degree students from sub-Saharan Africa. Eligible students have demonstrated academic talent, are economically disadvantaged, and have a personal commitment to serve their countries or regions of origin.

Eligibility

The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program at Michigan State University for master’s students is open to students who have already completed a bachelor’s degree at an African university and are residents or citizens of an African country.

This program targets academically qualified yet economically disadvantaged young people in Africa who will contribute to the transformation of the continent.

Selection Criteria

Students who are accepted to the program demonstrate the following qualities:

1. Prior completion of a bachelor’s degree from an African University with academic achievements suggesting continued academic success as a graduate student.
2. Strong commitment to a professional path in line with an area of study that can positively impact Africa.
3. Demonstrated interest and capacity for serving others through engagement in volunteer activities in school, college, or community.
4. Leadership potential.
5. Ability to cope with change and interest in other countries and cultures.
6. Significant financial need and/or from lowest income bracket in a country of origin.
7. Commitment to return to serve home country or region in ways that enhance economic growth and social development.

Financial Support:
Expenses Covered by the Program

The MasterCard Foundation Scholarship provides comprehensive support for the completion of a bachelor’s or master’s degree. We cover:

1. Travel costs
2. Visa and SEVIS fees
3. Tuition and other MSU fees
4. Housing, food, and living expenses
5. Health insurance

Program Scholars are also provided with a laptop and backpack.

The Program does not provide support for dependents of Scholars.

Admission Fees
Advanced Enrollment Deposit

If you are accepted as a MasterCard Foundation Scholar, you are not required to submit the $250 Advanced Enrollment Deposit (AED). The MasterCard scholarship will cover this fee for those accepted to the Program. Selected scholars will be directed to take steps to secure their F-1 Visa.
Financial Information

MasterCard Foundation Scholar candidates are not required to submit financial information, including an Affidavit of Support, Statement of Financial Proof, or supporting bank statement. The only financial documentation required is contained in the MSU MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program application.

How to Apply
Step 1: Apply to Desired Master’s Program

To apply for a MasterCard Foundation Scholarship at MSU, prospective Scholars must first apply to the desired master’s program through the program’s department. After being accepted to the program, the Scholar must be nominated for a MasterCard Foundation Scholarship by a faculty member.

Only students who have been admitted to on-campus Master’s Programs are eligible for this scholarship. A list of graduate programs is available at the MSU Graduate School website (http://grad.msu.edu/departments/)

Save your applicant ID and password during the MSU application process; you will need it to complete the MCF Scholarship Application.

Step 2: Complete an English Proficiency Exam

Complete an English Proficiency Exam (TOEFL or IELTS) and any other examinations (for example GRE or GMAT) which the department or program you’re applying to requires.

Students are strongly encouraged to take these exams no later than early-December 2017 for MSU to receive scores promptly.

Step 3: Submit All Supporting Documents to the Master’s Program

Ensure that the master’s program department receives all required supporting documents and official test scores.
Each department sets its own criteria for admission. Read the department’s website carefully and then follow the department’s instructions for graduate admission.
Submit all required official academic documents, letters of support, official test scores, etc. as indicated by the department and on the Application for Graduate Admission.

Communicate directly with the appropriate graduate department regarding the status of your application.
Step 4: Complete The MasterCard Foundation Scholars Program Application

Complete the MCF Scholarship Application (.docx) and send it to your graduate department; it should arrive no later than February 1 each year. If submitting a hand-written scholarship application, ensure that the document is clearly legible after it has been scanned.
Step 5: Submit the Recommendation Form

Submit at least one Recommendation Form (.docx) from an individual who can confidently speak to your family’s economic circumstances. Please select someone other than a family member (teacher, community member, etc.) who knows you well and can best answer the questions on the Recommendation Form. Do not submit more than two Recommendation Forms.

Deadline: February 1, 2018
