I won't lie.When I heard about captain marvel a few years ago,I thought the character was a man and when I heard shazam,I thought it was the music app.Both characters are "meh" in my book but knowing marvel,I expect CM to be a watchable movie and shazam to be quite poor.Even its trailers come across as try-hard

If Shazam trailers are poor, what will you now say about Captain Marvel's
Everyone thinks Brie Larson looks boring and uninspiring and her trailers are bland.
Plus she always making headlines for the wrong reasons.

Zachary Levi has none of those problems and Shazam is not facing heavy expectations unlike Captain Marvel which Disney and the media has been over hyping since last year including lying to the public that it was gonna open with $160m.

Doom Patrol has the best opening credits of any DC TV series since Smallville.
The music is perfect.

I think this is way better than Smallville's opening credits.

Some artistic impressions cannot be brought to life on big screen that easy.

I think James Wan felt that the concept art was too beautiful to be ignored...

I kept thinking that since Mira is a water bender like Kitana in Avater, maybe she bended the water to create a loop as they were going down. But then again i think the flare can't glow in the loop.

It's possible but I don't think she did that.

The part I saw clearly was when they landed on the sea floor and lit another flare, in that part there was no air bubble covering the flare.

James Wan knew that having a flare underwater was not possible but I think he deliberately left it like that to create a visually stunning sequence and it worked.

One of the very few plot holes in the movie.


The glowing flare, the slow motion, the thunder and lightning was used to form one of the most beautiful scenes in that movie.

It's a plot hole and the flare is supposed to quench.

But the beauty of that scene outweighs whatever plot hole it created.

It's 100% worth it.

I have watched that scene many times and I loved it.

*black panther is more entertaining than aqua man... the reason most people rate aqua man is because the actors were white .....aqua man is so so boring to me...... and very predictable........

BP was predictable too but it had a better story.

Aquaman was more entertaining, the action and visuals plus the sea creatures and world building was top notch.
Is this even up for debate.
Compare the third acts in both films and see the big difference.
The rooftop chase and the trench part is more entertaining than any action sequences in BP.

Sorry I actually think it's a big win if BP wins only best costume.
Why win 3,4,5 or 6 Oscars when you can loose 6 and win only 1.

A trash film like Suicide Squad got Oscar for costumes so it would be really special if BP got it.

And Oscar snubbing BP in six categories is not actually snubbing, it is indirect praise.

It will be interesting to see the direction where Marvel will go concerning big budget animation such a Spider-verse.

Animations struggle at the box office.
You can make an animation with $100m and you will struggle to earn thrice the budget....unless you are Disney/Pixar.
Check out all the animation made this year.
Apart from Incredibles 2, only one made it past $500m.
Into the Spiderverse barely made it past $300m on $90m budget not counting the millions spent on marketing.
This is a profit but it's nothing spectacular especially when Disney makes a massive $800m to $1b every year.
Even Universal manages to hit massive success like that once in a while.
So yes, animations struggle to make profit.
Spiderverse will get a sequel but you won't see superhero 3D animation every year.
It took them 4 years to release spiderverse after big hero 6.
So if you think Marvel will go big and start big budget 3D animation every year, think again.
It's not a bed of roses for big budget animations.
Movies like spiderverse happen once in a while.
And before you ask why I'm talking about money.... It is always about money and making profits.

It's been hard and horrible viewing dc cartoons when i am no more in 90s.

You are obviously trolling.
DC cartoons are never horrible.
The majority of them are good, I will have a difficult time picking out horrible ones.
Some of them are not spectacular but I enjoy it.
Flash point, Doom and Red Hood were amazing.
If they were horrible they wouldn't have a lot of fans.
And WB wouldn't let DCAU release any more animations.
It's either you were never into cartoons or you were never a fan.

The world is going forward not backwards, if i feel nostalgic i will go download dc cartoons of 90s, but this 2019 we need the new kind of realistic, graphic and 3d animations.

Easier said than done.
Realistic 3D animations are expensive to make.
Like I pointed out before big budget animations struggle at the box office.
Only Dreamworks, Disney and Universal have many hits and that is because they built a reputation over the years.
It's not a bed of roses.
