Pierocash: This man Jonathan is an expert in playing ethnic card,he is so dumb to the point that twisting facts to gain sympathy is his stock-in-trade.The more he talks the more stupid and foolish he appears. Is it the same boko haram that vowed to bring down the head of Buhari that they evn attacked him in Kano that is nw sympathetic to Buhari. They first called the insurgency an attack on christians,bt boko haram have killed more imams and emirs than pastors.they later said it is used against him cos power shifted to the south, bt boko haram were stil killing people under Yar' adua , The bombings in Cameroun by same boko haram,is it because of power shift?. I hate whn people fail and blame others for their ineptitude and corruption infested policies. God punish every lier So upon all you claim to know you didn't hear that an attack on Boko Haram is an attack on the North continue people are watching your stupidity |

Politics › Re: Lai Mohammed: Senegalese Jollof Rice Is Better On CNN - Nigerians Blast Him by Saxifrage12(m): 8:50am On Apr 29, 2017 |
Geographical range and origin
Jollof rice is one of the most common dishes in Western Africa, consumed throughout the region including Senegal, Gambia, Nigeria, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Togo, Cameroon, Mali and Ghana. There are several regional variations in name and ingredients, with non-local versions regarded as "inauthentic".[1] The name Jollof rice derives from the name of the Wolof people,[6] though now called theibou dienn or benachin. In French-speaking areas, it is called riz au gras. Despite the variations, the dish is "mutually intelligible" across the region, and has spread along with the diaspora to become the best known African dish outside the continent.[2][5]
The points of origin of the dish are mostly debated among Ghanaians and Nigerians, since both countries claim to be the origin of jollof rice. Jollof rice is typically seen as a culturally sensitive issue between Nigerians and Ghanaians. Based on its name, the origins of Jollof rice can be traced to the Senegambian region that was ruled by the Jolof Empire. Food and agriculture historian James C. McCann considers this claim plausible given the popularity of rice in the upper Niger valley, but considers it unlikely that the dish could have spread from Senegal to its current range since such a diffusion is not seen in "linguistic, historical or political patterns". Instead he proposes that the dish spread with the Mali empire, especially the Djula tradespeople who dispersed widely to the regional commercial and urban centers, taking with them economic arts of "blacksmithing, small-scale marketing, and rice agronomy" as well as the religion of Islam.[2] |

sankky: Ok From N216 per dollar before this govt of many presidents came in, to N380/$. Next week we hear it has lost N50 to the dollar and so on and so forth. Back and forth story. The funny thing is, you will hear the unscrupulous BMC internet crooks pretentiously hail this. This govt's argument that if they had not come to power, naija would have been worse off is analogous to this my story:
MR JOHN IS TRAVELING FROM LAGOS TO ABUJA IN A PUBLIC BUS. HALF-WAY INTO THE JOURNEY WHICH HAD SO FAR GONE SMOOTHLY WITH NO ACCIDENTS OR TRAUMAS TO ANY PASSENGER, ANOTHER DRIVER COMES IN AND TAKES CONTROL OF THE STEERING WHEEL WITH THE ARGUMENT THAT HE CAN DRIVE BETTER THAN THE FIRST DRIVER. SO, THE JOURNEY CONTINUED WITH THE SECOND DRIVER WHO CLAIMED TO KNOW HOW TO DRIVE MUCH BETTER BEING IN CHARGE OF THE WHEELS. SOMEWHERE ALONG THE ROAD, HE HAS AN ACCIDENT WHICH CAUSED A LOT OF CASUALTIES AND INJURIES TO THE PASSENGERS. AS THE PEOPLE WAILED, HE TELLS THEM HOW LUCKY THEY WERE TO HAVE HIM AS THE DRIVER AT THE VERY TIME THE ACCIDENT HAPPENED BECAUSE HAD IT BEEN THE FIRST DRIVER WAS IN CHARGE, THE ACCIDENT WOULD HAVE BEEN MUCH MORE DEADLY. THIS IS THE ARGUMENTS AND LOGIC THAT THE BMCs ARGUE DAILY ALL OVER THE INTERNET. Is funny but thats the truth. |
