Then Biden can just take the credit because the voting masses don't really have that knowledge.
Same way they have no idea what triggered the inflation. Even though Dems added fuel to it.

2024 is still 2 years away. Things were looking rosy for the GOP but then the Roe v Wade debacle happened.

By the way, the house controls spending so the GOP would control spending if they take it.
At the last sentence. The good news from it is that it may help cool inflation when people perceive that the GOP prefers to tighten/cut than spend (Trump was an exception).

Recession is finally here

The worst still yet to come.

It will. It across every industry’s in months time!
100%. To think quantitative tightening usually has like a 6 to 8 months lag. Some industries are quickly reacting while others will lag behind and would even be much worse off.

World economy is in trouble. I keep telling those calling me from Nigeria thinking I have too much dollars to send to them.
I let them know that inflation is also very high in the US and money is very precious right now.
I beg stop asking me for money, I have to watch how I spend my money now.
They think it's only Nigeria that's having economic problems.
Besides the US almost all other countries are in real bad shape. The US is still ol, but inflation is high and job cuts will get worse soon.
Same here bro. I Just politely declined someone in my inbox last night. I felt sorry for her,

and another guy which I am just going to ignore as the money he is asking for is more of a choice and not desperation i.e. Asking for money for wedding party when all I did my self when I lived in Nigeria was just a court wedding and mini engagement ceremony.

They all can easily get a job. It's a big deal to have Meta on your CV as a former employee.
Problem is that other IT firms and start ups are bleeding jobs or on hiring freeze as well. Some would easily get jobs again, but they may not be able to get that salary and perks they got with Facebook. They would have to adjust their lifestyles.

No other country in the whole world can compete with the US economy. It's the largest in the world.
Do you think only Nigerians are dying to leave their country and run to US Canada and others?
Trying to compare Nigerian economy with the US is like comparing an Ant to an elephant.
As bad as inflation is here, most people around the world will still come here, because it's worse in their home country.
Do you know how many people from around the world are risking their lives on daily basis to smuggle themselves and their families into the US via dangerous land borders?
You think it's only Nigeria...ok na.
There is a video on YouTube of Africans flying to Brazil then head north towards the US border. That's really really crazy desperation. Like they travel through the jungle, rivers, marshlands and dodge wild animals just to get to the US border.

All those videos on tick tock about life of a META employee at work. Hmmm, No job is permanent.

We would see a reduction or even completely cease to exist people posting on twitter about how they got 6 figures salaries in dollars after taking a few months of tech courses. The recession is here.

It's too early but in my opinion Desantis running in 2024 will not be a threat to the Democratic coalition. Desantis doesn't have the appeal or likability Trump has to garner a cult following of supporters.
The hype ends in Florida. He doesn't even have a sweet lying tongue Trump has.
DeSantis would grab more votes from Independent voters than Trump could. The fringe would still vote red irrespective of who is on the ballot.

wrong, neither Charlie Baker nor Larry Hogan were on the ballot, both term limited.
Both parties presented new candidates;

Massachusetts - Maura Healey (Democrat)
Geoff Diehl (Republicans)

Maryland - Wes Moore (Democrat)
Dan Cox (Republican)
My mistake but still a flip.
Foreign AffairsRe: American Politics Thread: Trump Is The 47th President! by saxywale2: 3:19am On Nov 09, 2022
Democrat Maura Healey wins the Massachusetts Governor race. She defeats Republican incumbent Charlie Baker

Democrat Wes Moore wins the Maryland Governor race. He defeats Republican incumbent Larry Hogan. Maryland gets its first black Governor.

Seems complicated, people are saying different things, maybe few hours more it will be clear, some voters are still working, some already voted.
I am just going to wait for the results. Too many polls saying different things. I turned on the tv for a few seconds and even voters themselves are not to sure on who to vote for. Some people interviewed said inflation is big issue, some said Democracy is at stake, some said women's right.

US mid-term elections: Elon Musk asks voters to support Republican Party
Why would anyone be against Medicare or social security. He just using the GOP buzz word for ignorant voters. Same way ignorant GOP voters will shout for gov to eradicate Obamacare but keep ACA, not knowing that Obamacare is the nickname for ACA.

The one thing important to Elon Musk, and why he is supporting the GOP is the issue of raise of taxes on billionaires. Weed has been legal in Canada for a couple of years now and they have dispensaries everywhere the last time I visited the country.

Let's hope that there are no pipe leaks or sudden breaks in swing states this time around.

Remember when you could sleep with the knowledge that the candidates with comfortable leads weren't suddenly going to start trailing the next day?
Comfortable lead is subjective and will depend on the number of mail in ballots that are yet to be counted. If the number of mail in ballots are substantial, they can swing votes, and counting them can take days.

They say Democrats are having turnout issues.
This midterms is interesting just for that fact that the president 's party typically loses mid term but the GOP made some false moves like the overturning of Roe vs Wade, plus the Dems losing points by getting blamed for inflation. Let's see how this will turn out.

Ps:
BREAKING: talking w/ the Chair of the Wisconsin Dem Party @benwikler, who confirms youth turnout in Wisconsin is *360%* HIGHER than in 2018..

Just like in Brazil, the youths might be deciding the results here.

GOP: “If counting votes takes a while it’s because Dems are cheating.”
Also GOP: “Rather then use the machines, we should probably count by hand.”

Marshall Zhukov was one of the key military strategists that defeated the Nazis. The USSR 's Red Army gave 27 million lives (13 million Russians) in defeating the Nazis.

About 85% of the Nazis died at the hands of the Soviets. The US then absorbed the Nazis, bringing 1100 of them to the US to help fight the USSR.
1.
In 1963, KGB monitoring recorded Soviet Marshal Georgy ZHUKOV saying: "People say that the allies didn't help us. But it cannot be denied that the Americans sent us materiel without which we could not have formed our reserves or continued the war.

The Americans provided vital explosives and gunpowder. And how much steel! Could we really have set up the production of our tanks without American steel? And now they are saying that we had plenty of everything on our own."

2.
JOSEF STALIN
raised a toast to the Lend-Lease program at the Tehran conference with British Prime Minister Winston Churchill and U.S. President Franklin Roosevelt.

"I want to tell you what, from the Russian point of view, the president and the United States have done for victory in this war," Stalin said. "The most important things in this war are the machines.... The United States is a country of machines. Without the machines WE received through Lend-Lease, WE WOULD HAVE LOST THE WAR."

This news though. I randomly picked some company.

- Pfizer will maintain humanitarian supply of medicines to Russians and donate all proceeds to providing direct humanitarian support to the people of Ukraine

Danone - oct 14. Danone to shed Russian dairy business with 1 bln euro write-off

22nd of July. HSBC quits Russia after sell-off of local unit

Sept 22. Air Liquide announces its plan to disengage from Russia
E.t.c.

This defence of Ukraine people should take it easy with this their cancellation effort. It takes time for companies to completely exit as they are losing mo.ey invested in infrastructures in the process. Alot on that list have either left or are already leaving or planning to leave.

To be fair, an iPad on a bike once valued at 45B (Peloton) should’ve been a clearer enough signal that this wasn’t sustainable. It was only a matter of time before people start returning to the Gym.

More job losses coming.

I guess he should have consulted a certain Kanye or put him on the board. He'd have gotten very useful advice if he had.

He better watch his Tesla, because it's those same woke pressure groups buying it to save the planet from overheating.
