Jobs/Vacancies / Re: Why Do Some Nigeria Company Delay Salaries? by ScaffoldCON: 4:49pm On May 02, 2023 |
Don't stress it too much. It's wickedness, first on human nature. Then there's the part where there isn't enough labour support to hold people accountable. Big or small, individuals moved the rotten attitude of not paying when they buy things to not paying or even owing salaries overdue. That you're conscientious enough today, keep at it. Because you'll own a business tomorrow, perhaps. And it'll be nice that you pay your staff on time. 8 Likes |

yarimo: Look man, unless you're truly ignorant of this. But this picture, and your caption is false. This image was drawn from a video on Twitter, posted by a lady whose voice from the background was heard sharing her excitement seeing Obi at the airport. For clarity, this video came from way before the announcement of the result. If you can't be neutral, don't peddle falsehood. Peace. 1 Like |

Nosaghae:Turn the PC off and upon startup, hold down the ESC key, it should bring up the option for recovery process. If you're lucky and have a restore point before this issue, you can easily fix this. You'll get to keep both your files and apps. But if there's NP restore point, the next option is to get a bootable CD or bootable USB, that has Windows OS installed - any compatible version with your PC - and do a recovery (fresh installation) from it. For this one, you'll only need to reinstall your apps after the installation completes. Your files are going to be intact. You're welcome. |

aieromon: I don't know how this happens. But, there's a windows recovery setting that allows a user to keep their files. Only thing is that they'll lose their apps. I know this because it happened to me, and thanks to people's input, I was able to work ,myself through fixing it; and I have. |

udemzyudex: I am happy about your input. It works five now. Thank you. There's a challenge about installing Office Suite now, it keeps giving an error code and for that reason, installation keeps terminating halfway into the process. Are you familiar with the Error Code 30015- 11(2147942405)? |

udemzyudex: All right, thank you. I read there's a safety protocol for this that won't cost me my files. I read that it's the repair option from a bootable drive. Is this feasible? |

Hello everyone. I need guidance. Last week I went on installing updates for my Win 10. I don't know at what point, but the PC ran itself into a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) - with error code: PNP Fatal Error Detected. When I looked it up online, it turns out it's the update. Unfortunately, I didn't have a backup. Apparently, a backup I did about 2 months back got wiped off - I can't explain why this happened. Please, I'll be glad if anyone can work through a fix from this point, because the PC keeps looping to and from the BSOD upon every start up. Suggestions please. Thank you. |

brandsoncharlie: I'll be honest, I don't know a name for it. However, I cannot deny the usage. Unfortunately it's rare and it's something people who are detailed will argue. What I mean is, if I write a sentence and it crosses my mind to use that comma style, I will avoid it - it's a questionable usage. That comma in sentence 4 comes up in questions about sentence parallelism. An appropriate usage of that comma in a sentence would be in an example like I'll need a bowl, pan, oil, doe and, a big round bucket to pack the other ingredients in. Sentences like the example above happen, but they are rare. It's not something you'll come across reading blogs. The comma question in sentence 5 is applicable when you are talking about appositives in grammar mechanics. But the commonly used like I said is the American style; yet, it has it's limits. Like someone pointed out, sometimes you have to maintain consistency in your style and use of language - AmE or BrE. |

Sentence 2 & 3 are correct. Unfortunately, the instruction requires only 1 correct answer. Depending on the examiner, respondents who choose either 2 or 3 will be scored correctly or wrongly. Regardless, they are both correct. Sentence 2 is the typical one we are all used to. In certain sentences, using the style would be wrong. That's why sentence 3 is used - the comma usage is regarded as the Oxford comma - to improve reading flow. Sentence 2 is mostly attributed to American style - some argue. Whereas, sentence 3 is British. In the end, they both have right and wrong usage. But, in the question, 2 & 3 are correct. If you quote me - because you're interested enough - I could look up comparative examples for you, just to clarify. Contrary opinion? Do share. 4 Likes |

Education / Do You Know Any One Who Has A JPTS Scholarship? by ScaffoldCON: 11:18am On Mar 26, 2021 |
Hello. I really need the input of anyone who knows or has heard about this scholarship by JPTS. My friend seems really excited at the mention of a scholarship, however, I have my reservations. In the document confirming the award of study, they attached some fees that seems rather off for a scholarship offer. It includes payments for things like Admission fee Acceptance fee Administrative fee Admission processing fee Examination fee (paid per script) Project fee, etc. For a fact that she could use a scholarship, I don't think this is worth it. Nonetheless, I would like your input if you're a beneficiary or know someone who is. Please help. Cc: lalasticlala |

Jodha: Come, its irritating how you spell yhu, yhure, and yhur when making your sentences. If you must write, write with clarity. Creativity in writing is not in the misplacement of spellings. What's worse is the O is right there but you keep at the H. On a lighter note, unless you use a T9 keypad, there's no reason to make this sort of error. Take a class with me. 10 Likes 2 Shares |
