"I have been out of the University for ten
years without a job. Getting a job became a
big deal in those years. Every advertisement

working experience.
How could l have had five years working

continued the search until l found a job as a

The President of the African University
of Science and Technology (AUST ),
Abuja, Professor Wole Soboyejo, has
disclosed that research in new methods
for the treatment of cancer has reached
an advanced stage, compared to the
treatment of the disease through
chemotherapy.
Soboyejo unveiled this yesterday at the
opening ceremony of a five-day workshop on
Nanomedicine and Bio-Micro-Electrical
Systems (BIOMEMS) organised by the Federal
University of Technology, Minna in
collaboration with AUST.
The new method of treatment would give
room for early detection.
According to him, the new method of
treatment will have little or no side effect on
the patients, adding that unlike
chemotherapy, the medicine is selective,
saying when administered, it goes direct to
the region of the disease unlike the present
form of treatment which must go through all
the blood vessels before attacking the area
of the disease.
He added that the new method is cost
effective as patients need not take large
number of dosages of the medicine before it
could go round the body to have impact on the
affected part.
According to him, research for the new
treatment had started eight years ago and
had proven to be effective after testing it on
animals adding that it would soon be tested
on human beings.
He however said administering the new
treatment has to be through injection.
He added that the workshop was conducted
with the aim of bringing the young scholars
and scientists on board for their contribution
for research work on BIOMEMS.

Have you ever had to deal with someone
saying your kid isn't cute? How do you

ok, let me give a tip on how i make my favourite noodles with eggs.

step 1:
fill a kettle with about half a litre of water (depending on the size of the noodles, more noodles, more water).
allow to boil till a 100 degree celcius

step 2:
take an empty bowl,
place the noodles inside, pour the boiled water on it (make sure the water level covers the noodles),
cover the bowl with a lid or wide flat plate and allow the heat of the water to cook the noodles for about 4 minutes.

step 3:
pour the noodles with the water into a sieve so that the water can drain off the noodles,
pour the noodles into the empty bowl, (by now it will be a little bit soft, but not totally cooked),
add seasoning (noodles seasoning or any of ur choice), stir together very well
note: all of these should be done on the bowl without placing it on the fire.

step 4:
take a frying pan, place it on the fire,
pour 5-6 table spoonful of groundnut oil on it
slice half a bulb of onion, (slice fresh pepper if u like)
allow the oil to get hot (but not too hot)
pour the sliced onion into the oil and allow to fry for 3mins
pour the already seasoned noodles into the oil and allow to fry for 2mins while u stir consistently
note: u can add very little water to it so it can soften a little (but if u want it crunchy, dont add water)

step 5:
get eggs(desired no, 2,preferably)
whisk in a bowl
pour the whisked eggs into the frying noodles
allow it to fry 4 about 1min without stirring
then stir the mixture altogether

voila!!!
enjoy ur meal
