It is very clear you are a troll. Asaba is more or less a suburb of Onitsha city. The population of Onitsha is more than thrice the population of Asaba. Onitsha is to Asaba what Lagos is to Ogun State (Abeokuta). On the issue of planning. From the google earth it is very clear that Onitsha is among the very few most beautifully planned cities in Nigeria. okeke00:

To ensure speedy completion of the road leading to one of the tourist centres in Anambra State as well as boost tourism during the yuletide season, attract investors, create jobs and alleviate poverty, Anambra State governor, Chief Willie Obiano has charged the contractor handling the Ogbunike road project to complete the work on schedule or risk immediate enforcement of the contract terms. Governor Obiano warned the contractor during an inspection of the extent of work at the Ogbunike project where he expressed dissatisfaction with the level of work done so far and directed the contracting firm to accelerate the pace of work to complete it on schedule. Warning the contractor Obiano said, “I expect you to expedite action on every aspect of this construction and we will not condone further excuses because we have given you all the necessary support to ensure you deliver the road on schedule.” Obiano noted that the contractor complained that the delay was as a result of rainy season and stated he had extracted commitment from the contractor to deliver the project before Christmas. The governor enjoined the contractor to use the onset of dry season to increase pace of work to cover more lost grounds and meet the schedule. He noted that, when completed, the road would give people easy access to the cave as one of the important tourist attractions in the State and open the entire area as well as boost socio-economic activities of the people and area. At the Nkissi Bridge, along Umudioka - Umunya road, the governor said the Bridge would be delivered before the end of the year and the road would be motorable while the asphalting would commence by January next year. He added that when completed, the road would also give access to the Ogbunike Cave. While inspecting the Umunya end of the road, the governor assured it would be completed within one month with markings and other road infrastructures that would enhance free flow of traffic and safety on the road. He said the road has strategic importance as it links the Anambra North and Central Senatorial districts.

Work is already ongoing on the 3 flyovers, which resumed some 3 months ago. The picture below was taken as at August because construction has gone far beyond this. The construction of the 3 malls/Resorts in our cities of Awka, Onitsha and Nnewi are speedily ongoing. The refinery is over 60% completion. All these will take us to a new level when completed in the coming months. Kingsley1000:

The point you have to understand is that Anambra is not competing with any local Nigerian state or city. We are a different people with different passion and zeal that is why we have most of the best brains in Nigeria today. What Obiano is setting in Awka in terms of infrastructures will distinguish the city from the rest of the Nigerian cities. He has his mind focused on excellence as seen in Dubai. The entire landscape of is rapidly changing with the ongoing 3 flyovers in the city; refinery, malls and 5 star facilities that will place not just the city but the entire state on a steady economic growth and hospitality/vacation destination. Obiano is a technocrat and know what development is about.. Kingsley1000:

What is your point? Is it that she cannot prepare such Onugbu soup or that Onugbu soup is that expensive to prepare? ![]() Ogbonaikenna: |
THREE APCON ZONAL OFFICES RELOCATE The Advertising Practitioners Council of Nigeria, APCON has acquired new offices in Abuja, Enugu and Onitsha to which it has relocated its operations in the area. The major roads within Onitsha and even most of the inner streets are being swept all over. Obiano has scored very high on security and clean environment.. Ilovenigeria:

I never said it will complete by december..but I know that by April 2015 the mall would be about 98% completed if not 100% completed! That site is the best for such project.. Ilovenigeria: |
Most of those dust around the Triangle are coming from the debris at the site of the construction of the mall. Although Obiano has concluded plans to dualize and rebuild the roads around the area because of the expected traffic the mall will generate when completed.. Ilovenigeria:Governor Willie Obiano was and received by equally enthusiastic residents and traders at Nnewi as he stormed the Shoprite Centre located at the former Nkwo-Nnewi Triangle where he appreciated the pioneering business wizardly of the indigenes of the area led by the late Sir Louis Philip Odumegwu-Ojukwu, whom he recalled was so successful in business that when the Queen of England visited Nigeria many decades ago, he offered the Federal government his personal Rolls Royce Car to chauffer her. The Governor told the contracting firm, traders, residents and natives that he came on an inspection visit to assess the ongoing work, noting that “what we are constructing here is unprecedented. We don’t have this type of Mall anywhere. The car park is on top of the Mall, It is a befitting edifice to support the business acumen of Nnewi people” Continued the governor: “Nnewi people are enterprising. We are giving them a Mall so that they can have a befitting business experience. The building will be completed by December this year while business will commence in April 2015. Governor Obiano assured that the road around the site would be dualized in anticipation of an increase in traffic, expressing confidence that the premises would take any number of vehicle given the fact that vehicles would be parked on top of the project while cultural activities of the people would also take place on top of the project. http://sunnewsonline.com/new/?p=72703 |
Voting a stark unlettered Islamic bigot and extremist like Buhari cannot be different from voting Shekau or ISIS to lead Nigeria.. |
The Onitsha Port has been completed and currently undergoing concession process the last we checked, this will see to the full commercialization of the port for full economic activity to take place. Already Orient petroleum, Sabmiller etc.. are already using the Onitsha Port and River Niger channel for the conveyance of their products and materials but that remains on unofficial basis.. The International Cargo/Passenger airport; its site has been acquired around Otuocha/Aguleri/Nteje and compensation fully paid though that was during Obi's time, now Obiano has gone ahead to inaugurated the advisory committee that will see to the delivery of the airport. This is the beauty of continuity in governance. The airport is central in that it is not too far from the Orient Petroleum refinery and equally about 15-20 mins to Onitsha, 30-35 mins to Awka and 45-50 mins to Nnewi. On completion it will be Nigeria's busiest airport after Abuja, Lagos and maybe PH. The airport advisory committee are supposed to deliver their report soon because they equally have the mandate to deliver the airport in 18-22 months from now. The good thing is that the former aviation minister Stella Oduah is the chairman of the committee and presently an Anambran in the person of Chidoka is the current aviation minister. It will just be an easy ride. I am equally hoping that Chidoka will bring the 'aerotropolice' to the Anambra airport because each region is supposed to have one for itself. I have worked with Chidoka on a project so I know how passionate he is concerning anything that will be of good benefit to Anambra.. 3dankey: |
