Mainly criticised the use of guns and tear gases on protesters. #Well, Prof Soyinka has eventually spoken. We hope he keeps speaking, and to see him join the protest. |
Cyril009:OK. Add it to the advert so that no one would ask you again. #Btw, I like your honesty on it not being WWU. |
Cyril009:Name of phone and specs? |
I renounce the Oath @seun is forcing upon me before I could post on this section. On other trends, like Christianity, this is not there. @seun, you're anti-free speech! @OP, protest is not evil. And that it CAN turn evil doesn't make it so. If you think not, then using Nairaland is evil because it can also make you evil. How? I leave that to you. I wonder how you got the impression that protest is the solution. And you looked at ENDSARS, Kenya's Antifianance protest, etc to conclude that "protest not alway the solution". Anyway, it has shown to be one of the very few things that scares the rulers however destruction that may occur. #ProtestPeacefully. It's your right. |
keymatt:100% #Crase people dey talk sense when hunger knack them. |

LordIsaac:Funnily strange and unfair is that consolation—in that— a criminal might repent at the dying minute in death's bed or like one of the criminals that was crucified with Jesus, and still go to heaven. That said, I have given this idea of paradise/heaven/immortality a long thought. And it strucks me as rather odd. For immortality is its own torture. The very knowledge of not dying makes life boring for it seems to make one have the view of how things would go. It's like rewatching a movie many times. For the first time, it'd be interesting. But replay it many times and it becomes not-so interesting. To live is to suffer. And this is as it's for Man and as it's for God. The only true end to that suffering is death. So for humans, death is the (known) consolation for our suffering; for knowing that one day all these running in a circle would end is a consoler. But strangely, some think living forever is the greatest consoler. What they don't think is that it's very likely that life in heavens is so predictable and hence boring that God decided to create us for amusement. It's like watching a toddler. As an adult, you know (s)he would fall but you find it funny because of the way they go about it. Hence, I'm irreligious. So the reward at the end isn't my drive. It's rather living my life in such a way that when Life happens, there won't be regrets and guilt running around in my mind. This would enable me to quickly come up with an idea to get out the mess or make it less messy. That feeling is more than anything! #One life is enough for me. |
iLegendd:Omoh, this life of no crime-for-money no easy oh. Some of my friends has upped far above me in the Maslow's hierarchy of needs via scam (yahoo). Sometimes, I feel terribly down. But we keep pushing, because na who give up nahin lose for life. #StayStrong. |
Deadline is 31st July, 2024. Today is 29th, yet MTN has started disconnecting lines! #MTN is acting like Tinubu who removed fuel subsidy before June that the Buhari's agreement with importers would expire. His "courage" made us to start suffering from May. |
Melagros:More like, the president is enabling. Fuel is partly imported from a plant in Malta that's allegedly owned by the CEO of Oando, a relative of Tinubu. |
Salewa97:Even yahoo create jobs and booster economy. She is saying so that we don't forget that Dangote is speaking only because the corrupt system is no longer favouring him. Competition is key? Say that to Dangote and Tinubu. |
To be fair, Soyinka said his principle is mostly to speak about new govt after one year. The Tinubu administration is a year plus; not up to two years that the after one years is inclusive of. So we are still within the timeline. However, his attacks on some opposition parties/individuals smells of tribalistic sycophancy. He should stop it if he wishes to not further smear his reputation. |
It's more of a state capture via political party (APC) The three states he mentioned are governed by other political party, not APC. His audacity to say this when it's just over a year he became VP is a proof that they are more interested in dominance, not providing the dividence of democracy. #2027 campaign mode is already activated. |
Better the devil you know... APC has proven to be worst than PDP. LP are largely opportunists. Other parties don't currently have the community to win #If the system wouldn't get better, let it be as it's. |
Konquest:The e-CMR system procedure is unnecessary. The FRSC have data of all registered vehicles (and any modifications). So the Police should get it from them, not mandating drivers to register by paying an ambiguous fee. #This is a duplication of duty and it should be terminated! |
But the FRSC already have these informations, so all the Police had to do if needed is to approach them for it. Not for vehicle owners to register and pay an ambiguous fee! #Duplication of duty is a major problem in this country. #ItShouldn'tStand. |
It's not a must, as the president is not obligated by the law or constitution. That said, it would be a great insult to the memory of Chinua Achebe, especially because things have gotten worse compared to GEJ's govt in which he rejected the third highest national award (CFR) —because of corruption and poverty in the country. OP, you read Achebe, but you don't know the man. |
If true, with our porous border we're in more trouble |
Prof Wole Soyinka is a great writer, but this seems to be a dividend of his tribalistic sycophancy to PBAT. Funnily , it could be renamed when another govt gets into power. |
Yahoo, too. Sadly. |
officialfestus:Wow! What's the total capacity? |
KunlexyInc1:Sweet deal @Poco F5! #I wish you go agree "Pay small small and collect" ![]() |
anonimi:Hasn't that being going on? For example, Investigative journalist, David Hundeyin informed us via X, newspapers, etc about the drug case of President BAT, his philosophy of "What money can't do, more money can do", multi-million naira houses bought under two of his younger children, the Nigerian Air scam, etc yet people who call themselves "educated and smart" still voted and are openly supporting him. Our problem isn't lack of education; our problem is we haven't suffered enough. And we haven't suffered enough because we largely believe all consequences can be begged, payed, prayed or sacrificed away. On Europeans victory, it's because they don't have a place to go to; they consider Africa inferior continent/race. And since it's less stressful to immigrate than educate willful ignoramuses, the fortunate ones take that path. |
Poor and oppressed Nigerias are the ones she's mocking. Imagine calling us VIPs because we can't fight back |
ceejay10:Imagine the "VIPs"!? It's a shame that she sees accepting suffering as a VIP trait. |
https://www.rtings.com/tv/tools/compare/lg-c3-oled-vs-hisense-u8-u8k/37848/38181?usage=1&threshold=0.10 I can't tell you which one to buy, because I haven't used any. However, I can provide you with a link, which is above, that compares the two. Whatever term you don't understand, do well to click the (?) or google it; because ₦1.5M is a lot of money. Also, put after sales service/policy of the selling store into consideration, for a maybe. And don't take their word for it; hearing from an experienced buyer (someone who bought, had issues and the store promptly fixed it) is vital. Of course, change is constant. |
Highlights... —angry that they weren't consulted. —to remain in Delta State, and if they want new state, it would be named Ndowka State, South South; instead of being included in Anioma State, South East. #Interesting. |
A big thanks to all that made it possible, and I hope all those that forced him to make untrue implicating confessions are made to face the law and he is compensated. |
DevilsEqual:One day, your two arms will be amputated because of being ran into by a hit-and-run driver, and someone will tell you that it happens everywhere, even in the US. |
frankobobby:Your budget, which I guess, is about ₦400,000 isn't enough for an Inverter System (no solar panels) I would have recommended. This system would be less expensive, in the long run, especially since you have almost constant electricity. The generator may look cheap now, but when you factor in fuel consumption and its service you would see that the system is better. That said, even with Solar Inverter System, having a backup, say generator, is a wise decision. My advice is this: If you can't wait to save about ₦800,000 (Yes, ₦800,000! I feel you want equality) for the Inverter System, buy the generator. |
For brand new, Redmi 13C or Tecno Spark 20 is within that budget. |
