It's shamefully strange that the FG is depending on Dangote's Refinery, instead of seriously working on how to put our refineries into shape as well as turning bunkery ones into mini-refineries!
#Maybe our leaders have vested interest in Dangote's Refinery.

Please I need insight guys.

I'm currently using samsung S9 plus and been planning to upgrade to s10 plus... Seeing that RN12 is out, should I still go for s10plus or go or Redmi note 12..

Not a heavy phone user but things I look out for are good camera(more than average), top notch screen display, multitasking, battery, handy - which will I recommend

S10+ is a flagship, and even though it's about 4 years old, it's still far better than RN12 (4G), which is a low midranger.

As you know, getting a new one is highly likely impossible because its production has been discontinued. So an untempered UK used would be the best option; I won't advice buying a Nigerian used or repaired one. If not, get the Redmi. However, because you're coming from S9+, you'll likely get a reduced feel.

Hi guys,

I want to get a Redmi Phone, the RN7 I am using now has served me enough so I want to upgrade lol.

My budget is 150k

Any suggestion pls

Coming from RN7, you would get a slightly better experience from RN11. So you may go for that.

But I would suggest that if you're not in haste, wait for RN12. If atheistandproud is right, the phone, especially the SoC part, go make sense die. When will it be out? I don't know.

Test it with other sim cards as advised. I once add a similar issue; mine was about calls. It turned out that the culprit was the sim card. A new Airtel sim card ohh.

And as equally pointed out, network bar doesn't translate into network strength. That bar is largely a scam. @atheistandproud has a good topic on this at inquisitiveuniverse.com —where you will learn everything Smartphone, in an easy to understand words.

And any other form of reply or defense outside the law court, say, through social media, also means there's some truth to what he said.

The popular narrative that it would reduce or stop voting buying during the election is largely false. Politicians will buy it from Bank managers and thus would have it to buy the votes. And I think this the major reason it's scare: majority of the ones given to banks have been bought by politicians.

All I see is a big win for the lords of CBN and Banks. But huge suffering to the poor masses.

#As pointed out by the article, the deadline will be postponed. Don't panic.

My fear however is that considering the current fuel scarcity in addition to the deadline, it would likely lead to a protest. This might necessitate postponing the election date thereby extending Buhari's stay in office. Very bad!

Religion / Re: Timini Egbuson: Why I Stopped Attending Church by Scientheosopher(m): 5:21am On Dec 27, 2022

Which synagogue did John the Baptist attend while in the wilderness, how about the other 700 (I think) prophets that were hidden in plain sight while Jezebele was frustrating the obvious ones and Elijah?

I strongly believe it is essentially a personal journey at a certain level.
Is Synagogue built in the wilderness? Hmm. Well, it's safe to assume that he attended while in town because it's a common, if not essential, religious practice. Jesus did attend at around age 12, remember?

I don't know about those prophets. But you should know that hiding in times of crisis is a safety measure. So except God told them not to hide, I don't see anything wrong with it.

Yes, I believe too. What I don't like is when a person claims what they aren't. You can believe you serve God, or more appropriately the Creator, without belonging to a body; but you can't be a christian and not attend a church. That's my point, and I did make it clear in my comment.

1. Stop spewing trash for the sake of it abeg! undecided

2. Jesus Christ never asked any of His followers to attend your church services in His name. He never asked them to build church businesses using His name, and He certainly never asked anyone to sit as shepherd or teacher over those who belong to the Kingdom of God. So your churches and the religion it serves has nothing to do with God or Jesus Christ.. undecided

3. What God gave to individual men is His Law and He made it clear that only those who obey His Law belong to Him. Your religious system of Christianity along with all its many rituals and traditions are instead pagan in origin and not of God. undecided
1. You called my take on his belief trash yet you couldn't provide even a single reason against it. Your defence/counter without evidence is the only trash.

2. Let me clear something upfront. The word Church means a body of people who come together to serve God. It's not a building. It's a people. The building basically provides shelter from uncomfortable weather conditions.

This body existed before Jesus in the form of Synagogue. The Bible records that Jesus attended one around age 12 to learn and question. So church is a word adopted by Christians for their assembly just as others use Synagogue. And they are essentially for the same purpose.

A. "Jesus Christ never asked any of His followers to attend your church services in His name."

My church services? I don't have church or attend any. In fact, I don't do Religion. Your assumption could only mean one thing: a church did you strong thing. Well, bad things can happen anywhere. Take heart.

Ba. "He never asked them to build church businesses using His name"

True. The business nature of most of today's churches is rather an unfortunate turn of event. The church was supposed to be a place for making its members life better, but it's now largely a place for money making by its founders/leaders.

Bb. ", and He certainly never asked anyone to sit as shepherd or teacher over those who belong to the Kingdom of God."

Yet he said, "follow me and I will make you fishers of men". Yet he said to Peter "If you love me, feed my sheeps"? Yet he had twelve disciples?

So tell, what were they supposed to do with all those knowledge.

3. And God didn't state that they should be communicated to others or how it should be communicated?
Yet God have prophets and Synagogues? Strange!
Religion / Re: Timini Egbuson: Why I Stopped Attending Church by Scientheosopher(m): 7:33pm On Dec 26, 2022
He is a Spiritualist. Here, it means someone who practises spirituality or believes God but doesn't serve Him through a system (Church, Mosque, etc.) yet claims to be.

#For whatever reason he stopped going to church (a necessary duty in Christianity) shows that he's not a true christian.

A true christian is like Job. He never separates himself from God, no matter what.

NOTE: You can't claim to serve God and not belong to a system. It's like saying you're a student yet you don't attend a school.

Romance / Re: Somebody Help Me I Am The Verge Of Commiting Suicide by Scientheosopher(m): 6:56pm On Dec 22, 2022
Suicide.

That's one thing I find difficult to comment on, because I see life as a disease and death is the cure. Everything we do (be it sleep, drug, sex or gossip) is to manage its symptoms (e.g. fear, anxiety and worry) and to postpone that cure.

The usual reasons, such as your family will suffer if you die, tomorrow will better, etc, that people give against it doesn't seem to cut it for me. For example, your death might actually make your family live better because they may see it as a challenge to get better so that no one would follow your course.

Now, on your church not helping with money for the rent, it's likely because your parents did or are doing something that the pastor isn't comfortable with. Remember, you guys once lived in the church because of the same inability to pay rent. So the church have tried for your family. Don't take the refusal to heart.

I would suggest you have a real conservation with your parents and Landlord, and perhaps with your pastor. If it fails to yield extension, you guys should move to a village and start committedly to return to the city from there. Don't hate the village. People are building houses and buying cars, etc, from there by farming, for example.

#Though I said I don't like to comment on suicide, but I want to say something against it still.
You are rather funny. You want to kill yourself because your Landlord wants to evict you and your family! Your parents should be the one thinking the suicide, because it's their responsibility—not you. Except you made a promise about it that you couldn't fulfil. If that's the case, I say, "Breathe"!

Crime never pays.

Even the financial crimes that they are jailing them for, these crimes are becoming more difficult to do...which is why they got caught.

Also, getting money via dirty means means dirty people would be attracted to you a lot....meaning problems.

Best to earn money legitimately. May not be much, but most of the time, no one is going to disturb you.
Crime never pays or crime does not pay" is not true. Some people do crime and get away with it; they live well and are not caught or implicated before and after death. Even you have done something criminal (breaking traffics rules, cheating, lying, etc.) yet you live free!

Now, I understand what people mean when they say crime doesn't pay. However, it's a wrong wording; on the surface, it says the there's no benefit in crime, which isn't true when you observe criminals and your life. I prefer it being worded: Crime pays, and sometimes the price is prison. Because it states all the potential consequences.

NOTE: I'm not in support of crime nor into it. Infact, I constantly watch my actions to ensure I don't do anything lawfully or morally wrong. When I do, I try to make corrections—if possible.

#The reason I don't crime is not because I fear the govt will get me. The govt is largely ineffective, and in most crimes, I can actually get a low sentence or pay a fine to get away, if caught . Nor is it because of God. God's actions as stated in some parts of the Bible shows He is not so godly. Hence, He has no moral right to judge me. See who made Samson disobey his parents or how God added suffering, which wasn't originally part of the penalty for eating the Forbidden Fruit, for example. The reason I don't do crime is because I don't want a situation where when Life happens, guilts and regrets will be everywhere in my mind. My reason is obviously similar to the part of your comment I bolded.

It's normal.

In every movement, there are always those that are overzealous and intolerant. Jonathan had gejits (my term), Buhari have buharideens; and now, Obi have obidients.

It should, however, be noted that not all fanatics are in reality fans! Some are agents of disorder. This trick is as old as the sun. And in our age of Internet, it shouldn't be surprising because it (Internet) enables anonymity.

The way to deal with them is to block and report such account if it is online. Or report/ignore them both online and offline. Or write about them— though this is often ineffective method, because it gives them the very attention they are craving.

#Let's focus on the candidate, not on stupid supporters.
