Spoke reality! This is perhaps the most truthful take by a minister in PMB's government on the ending days of crude oil as the major source of (commercial) fuel in the World. #Bad news to those that wants Nigeria to remain one because of crude oil. |

Banky W said he joined PDP because their (his and PDP's) ideology matches and PDP's structure—and he seems to realise all these because INEC delisted his former political party! If your party meets INEC requirements (implied by his statement) yet gets delisted, isn't taking INEC to court the right thing to do, if you believe in your party? Banky W seems to think otherwise. Structure is people. And people follow you when you are worthy to be followed. Banky W is from a wealthy background, a celebrity and have (had?) people like Wizkid, etc., who have huge followings. These qualities are enough to build structure, but he couldn't leverage them. Now, he is in PDP because the work has be done by those in the party. Smart guy. Ideology. It's not really about ideology but "executology". PDP and APC, like other parties, basically have the same ideology. These are security, poverty reduction and economy building. But their leadership is largely different, and this is mostly because of party's caucus decisions. So the reason of ideology is baseless. And does he think the PDP godfathers would allow him execute his ideas judging from their usual ways? Only time may tell. #Banky W sounds like another Desmond Elliot in the making. I wish him what is best for the mass, if elected. |
"A total of 445 Nigerians were conferred various national honours" Majority don't deserve the honour. But it's President Buhari that awarded it, so I'm not surprised. #Largely, a joke of National Awards. |
"Because Obi is making a mark, however imperceptible, in these regions where he was previously unknown, we should recognize that he is no longer the underdog that he once was. In order to avoid a repeat of Buhari, critical citizens should ask Obi hard, soul-searching questions because he could be president. For example, why did he allow the Anambra State University branch of ASUU to go on strike for more than six months and even going so far as to sack the school’s vice chancellor “because of his alleged romance with the striking workers of the university,” according to the Daily Sun of January 19, 2011. How is he different from Buhari in this regard? Why did he allow doctors in Anambra State to go on strike for 13 months, which led to many needless deaths? The doctors called off their strike without Obi meeting their demands. And he implemented the no-work-no-pay rule when Anambra civil servants went on strike to demand to be paid minimum wage. While he was governor of Anambra, he played typical Nigerian politics of divide and rule. He played Catholics against Anglicans and even stigmatized political opponents as “Yoruba” people, according to Professor Okey Ndibe who wrote extensively on him. “It is similarly appalling that a governor who reportedly has ambitions for higher political office could not restrain himself from disparaging Mr. Ngige as a Yoruba candidate,” Ndibe wrote in his April 18, 2011, column titled “Peter Obi, Akunyili and Political Folly.” “Even if we accepted the silly argument that the ACN was a Yoruba party – so what? Is the governor allergic to forging political alliances with the Yoruba? Is he not aware that such appeals to base, ethnic sentiments would return to haunt him if he ever seeks to be a political player at the national level?” That was prophetic. This doesn’t make Obi any worse than his opponents. But because he could be president, we should interrogate him so we won’t be blindsided". The above allegations/questions should and must be urgently addressed by Peter Obi. Because the presidential seat is too country-unifying to be occupied by someone who is biased and has little regard for law and fairness. As for those that would say "nobody is perfect" as such he should be excused, especially because alternatives seem worse should be reminded that old habits die hard. If he gets away with them, he will likely do worst if elected, as being done by president Buhari. #Thanks Farooq A. Kperogi, and the poster! It's a worthy read. |
If the wise steals, he doesn't make noise about it. The fool shows off. #Hushpuppi now regrets! When he was told to stop fraud and showing off, he boastfully refused. Now, he wishes otherwise. But it's too late. He'll come out, if he'll, with scars. |
“I was awarded N5 million by the court at first instance. “The higher court upheld the decision of the high court but slashed the awarded sum to N1.5 million. It didn’t even cover half the cost I had incurred while pursuing the case.” #The inability of the money awarded by a Judge to the winner of a case to cover expenses/losses is the main reason taking a dispute to Court is highly discouraging. This young smart-hard working Nigerian lost nearly everything yet the most the Court could award him is ₦1.5 million! (The main, if not the only, thing he won is his name). #Shame!!! |

Slynation:Truth is a bitter medicine. #I'm not suprised! |
Slynation:It will take nothing from you—instead, you will gain everything, if you accept his correction however harsh he may have sounded. #Nobody grows or gets wise above mistake. This is as it is for Man and God (of the Bible)—if we are honest enough to tell ourselves the truth that regret is an admittance of mistake. #Correction is often hard to accept, especially in public. Why? That is a story for another day. A trick to deal with it, however, is "Do not reply". Does this imply cowardice or acceptance? Maybe. Wisdom? Likely! |
onlinetrader:OK. #The difference isn't much especially when you consider the wait, potential custom misbehaviour, and probably lack of warranty. Congrats, still. Some don't get their goods after all the stress. |
What's the estimated expenses (money, time, transport, phone calls, online tracking, etc) in percentage compared to buying in store? #Congrats! |
maureensylvia:You should have collected the 80% and then wait for the remaining percents. If he stops using the account to receive salary, you may lose the whole money. #Do ensure he pays for all the expenses (time, money and stress) it took to freeze his account. |
If true,... |
Kingpele:You made lots of unthought through points, so I want to help you have a rethink, if you wish, with the following: An evil dead is mocked so that an evil living may repent, thereby reducing suffering—the meaning in Life. The evil deeds of the dead echos till the end of time. But admitting wrong/apologising will reduce the force of the echo. Dying in old age is not a definitive proof of God's grace. The bad ages, too. Perhaps, God was giving him/her time to repent. You know nothing about the judgement of the Lord Almighty! The same Almighty, according to Jesus, that will burn sinners in Hell, forever? No. Judgement belongs to firstly, Man and then God. It's why He gave the brain, and our judgements here, if successful, will ease His works over there. #A person that didn't respect his/her -self while alive shouldn't be respected when dead, because it signals to its living kinds that they can go free with their evil acts. |
Knowledge of VFX effects (film tricks) is why I have stopped watching movies for their actions; I usually watch for the words. #99.9% of what you see in modern movies are computer generated and exaggerated. |
marvelife:MODIFICATION Her tweet is on supposedly antibiafra roles Brit played under the Queens leadership during Nigerian Civil War. ... if you read only one side of history Whatever evils the Brits did to our ancestors through slavery and colonisation were being done to them by their fellows. The real crimes of the English was being an outsider and the magnification of this inhuman treatments. Also, let's not forget that the same whites abolished slavery, and forced some of our leaders that were refusing to do the same. Note: I'm not supporting or excusing the crimes of the Brits nor happy about slavery. But I'm giving perspectives. I just us to realise that slavery was a trade, and all sexes, races and colours actively participated in it. So I want us to lick our wounds and move on, and the earlier we do the better. #What she tweeted is not defendable, especially because she is a professor of history subjects. She should have known better. The school will do well to fire her. |
Chimera30:They often pay only in long term, if they will ever pay. #Be honest and hard working not specifically for rewards from humans, but because of inner peace. When (not if) life happens, regrets and guilts won't be all over the place in your mind because your hands are clean. |
Print more money; lend it to manufacturing companies that would employ workers thereby reducing unemployment; and the regulation of price by govt. Hmm. While it reads like socialism, it's a reasonable measure. However, regulation is the main problem; and we have the agencies as you pointed out but they are performing below expectations. Govt being govt, they will probably get slack along the way as usual. This would make companies try to raise price, defeating the initial plan. (It should be noted that companies are largely driven by profit. When govt control prices directly and tightly as it would happen in this situation, companies don't feel comfortable because they don't make as much gain if the reverse is the case. Consequently, they will reduce, if not stop, production). A major problem that's hurting the economy is that our govt don't like buying local goods. How many govt officials uses Innoson motors or eat rivers' rice? So for this to work, govt need to start buying internally manufactured goods however low in quality they may be and pressure makers to improve quality. That said, instead of printing more money, I suggest lending from the ones already present to companies. This would remove printing costs, which would inturn reduce govt's non-job creation expenditure that is usually a cause of inflation. And more importantly, the loans should be of low interest rate so that they can easily be paid. |

The presidential pardon power needs an urgent amendment to exclude convicted politicians. If not, situations like these will keep on happening, thereby indirectly encouraging corruption. Because all that's required to be set free is to be in good terms with a ruling president. |
donphilopus:Peter Obi should stop quoting stats, because he seems to be largely bad at it. #I understand that he is playing the offensive, and that calls for any lawful/supportive measures but misquotes however important will not help. |

I get you points. You mean that just saying BAT is 86, which is above the age he said he is, will not stop him from contesting. So it's inconsequential, except opposition candidates takes him to court and prove it. This is the only way the age can really work or be used against him. #You talk big sense. |

tinsel:A dead man is powerless? #Hmm. If only you understand that not all dead men are! Take Jesus and Prophet Mohammed for example. They're dead for ages, but they still have far more influence now compared to when they were alive. (And don't tell me OK, but that's because they're God's prophets/ministers. No!) |
etokhana:Even Okowa! It's high time INEC has a law that says non submitttance of the original copies of results/documents disqualifies a candidate. #Buhari has set a bad example. |
OneGeek:I'm not implying that. Slowly re-reading my full reply will convince you. "... Xiaomi device...". I'm not a Xiaomi fan. I'm just admirer, because they offer better value for money phones compared to, for example, Samsung and Oppo, though lately, they are messing up in some areas that I find dear. I'm my pocket/need fan. Note: Mad= foolish (person). |
Someone focused his attention mainly on gaming to write off a phone, his opinion would still be complete without quoting nor making reference to my post...
