aresa:lol. I wasn't talking about GEJ though. |
resty4:When last were you able to write 2 sentences void of blunders? BTW, Is there any thing wrong with doing all you can LEGALLY to get what you want ? |
thanks @ Charix and Gmajor Any more ideas? |
Just wondering how the media industry get their ratings. It's much easier and accurate in the US and other developed countries. The media industry here includes Radio, TV, and Nollywood. Anyone here with ideas ? |
Justbright:Bro they're all in the same boat. They just affect you differently. E.g you can hardly listen to sinach and not be "tempted" to praise God, likewise you can hardly listen to a banky w without being tempted to want to romance a girl. Guard your heart with all diligence Prov 4:23 |
sukkot:Bro, I'm not setting up any law. Take a look at phil 4:8. Are they really good? Do they take you closer to God? It's simple logic but i guess you're not willing to be open about it. Addendum: someone once told me of being gingered while having sex by listening to a popular album of a secular artist. If a gospel song was going on, i know it would have been impossible to begin or continue !. What does that tell you? I rest my case here |
Baddestguyp:I get you but where do you draw the line. MI sometimes has good lyrics but by and large, you have scantily clad ladies, booze and the likes in his vids\lyrics. Do they help you in your walk with God? I don't think so. I'm looking at the big picture here and not a singular song. |
sukkot:I NEVER mentioned or implied that listening to music is a sin. I never also said i wanted/ want to listen to wizkid and the likes. I simply asked; tell me why and how listening to tupac would help me. It's simple; you can't love Jesus and love/listen to tupac. Their core is totally different. Yes tupac's songs and others are deep but it's a deep that Christians shouldn't go near |
sukkot:ok, I'm listening... |
sukkot:He that thinks he stand should take heed lest he falls. Please give me a good reason to listen to a wizkid song, cos i can't find any. You're misquoting scriptures. Just read Romans 4 to understand fully before concluding. |
lastchild:the award winning rap act lecrae and many more are there for you. If it's important to you, you'd find a way. If not, you'd find an excuse |

Married attractive women have told me of the kind of passes they get from men on a regular basis especially if they don't live a boxed life. If she was truly taken off the "shelf", then no man would be able to make a move, but they did Same thing some rich attractive men face. Some ladies don't care about the rock on his finger. All they want is a piece of him. If he was truly off the market, they wouldn't be able to make a move. Whether they accept or not is another story entirely. The off-the-market idea is the reason people get complacent in marriage. Just because there's a ring or even kids doesn't mean you wouldn't get or be given advances |
I was having a conversation with a good friend of mine when she told me she had been taken off the market. Incase you dont understand, she meant that she had seen a man who was interested in getting married to her. The taken off the market phrase signifies that she has left the singles phase or the market where she'd be available. After several days, the convo came back to me and i realized something rather unique. Just because you're engaged doesn't mean you're off the market. You'd still get suitors anyway. Getting married doesnt mean you're off the market either. From time to time you'd still loads of opportunities to frolic around depending on your lifestyle. In my opinion, I believe we never leave the market. We just go to a different section of the market but we remain there alright. And our actions wou Marriage is a daily decision to remain in the secluded area of the market where you can't easily be accessed. The wedding is just stage 1, the most important thing is staying married; staying in a secluded part of the market where access is difficult. How can you stay in that secluded area of the market ? Stay tuned for more |
Mogidi:I beg to differ. We only became Africa's largest economy because in the last analysis, some sectors were not covered. This rebasing is the most thorough Nigeria has ever witnessed. Simple |
@ Trailblazer1, thanks for the encouragement. God bless you. I pray I see you in heaven. @ sonoflucifer; God still loves you and even though you think you've gone too far, ask God to help you and watch him act. #Mission make heaven and take as many people as possible |
I was about 6 years old then (not sure), i just couldn't sleep. I can't really remember the details but i knew something was missing; and I sensed what. So i whispered to my mum, "I want to give my life to Christ". She led me to Him that night and I eventually found sleep. I wish I can say that I've been with him until now but that would be a lie. Between then and now, I fell so many times did so many foolish things but I found my way back to His presence. He was and still is merciful. It's been about 5 steady years now with him and I am glad. The journey has been wonderful even though there have been challenges. Here I stand, not my power but by the grace of God. #mySalvationStory What is your salvation story? |
Here we go again Nigerians; hustling to get lots of certificates to get the dream job. Stop !!! Understand that It's not about the certificates. it's about the knowledge and what you can do with it without necessarily having a job |
darn!!!! |
A woman is a unique part of God's creation who starts preparing for the role of a home maker at a tender age. She gets teddies at a tender age and learns to take care of them. She backs them ever so regularly and sometimes even take their baths. She spends numerous number of hours learning how to cook, how to clean from a tender age. Even with her knowledge of home caring, She also studies hard to be able to make great grades. She spends so much time in front of the mirror making sure she comes out spotless and attractive. She has to spend hours in a bid to remain attractive lest she be regarded as ugly. If she dresses in an attractive manner, she would be regarded as irresponsible and a love-peddler. If she doesn't, she is regarded as ugly If she decides not to get married, she'd be regarded as a LovePeddler or incomplete. If eventually she gets married, she is pressurized to give birth asap. And as soon as that happens, she is also expected to magically lose weight in a month or less She struggles a lot and has to put up with pressure from her children, husband, and her job. If she gets protective of the man she loves, they'd call her jealous. If she doesn't, she'd be accused of not loving him enough. If she asks for money for upkeep, she is accused of being too dependent. If she doesn't ask, she'd be accused of being too independent. If she decides to take up a job and work to be able to support her family, she is condemned as someone who doesn't want to take care of her own family. If she doesn't, she is regarded as a woman whose benefit is only in breeding children. Society keeps pushing the women folk to the wall and yet they stand up and fight in-spite of all obstacles. Respect every female in your life. They deserve it. www.cedarlives.org |
The mind is like that rope being pulled by two opposing forces; ying and yang, good and evil, wisdom and foolishness, humility and pride. And every action you take is a step closer to one of these forces. Stagnancy is a myth, nothing ever remains exactly the same. It either depreciates or appreciates sometimes too subtle to note. The moment you stop learning, you start unlearning. As a matter of fact, while you're learning, there are some things you unlearn in the process, talk less of when you choose not to learn. You still have doubts about how the mind works? Check out this profound bible passage Rom 12:2 But be ye transformed by the renewal of your mind. Renewal is defined as an act of renewing. It is a continuous process; never ending. The reason behind this passage is because of the fact that our minds are never stagnant. By default they it always tends to go left (the wrong way). It always tends to do the stupid and foolish things. So therefore it is important you continuously teach it and when you upgrade it with knowledge, you move towards the right (the right way). How can you renew your mind you may ask? They are just below; Study God's word; the Bible and act accordingly Study helpful that will boost your knowledge Learn from people's experiences What are you waiting for? KirkoBlack: Did you even ask them to help you?But did he have to ask? We both know that a car doesnt weigh 5 kilograms |
Suxes: that is she agrees to it. But u know that women cud b so deceptive, so dont trust them on that.lol, she doesn't have to agree. Just go ahead but tell her first tho |
Suxes: If my wife don born three, i go Just stat to dey use condom ni.vasectomy is surer. |
BluIvy: Solange was wrong, she showcased her ghetto character and how she carries herself, while Beyonce showed a more matured and different character.lol. Yes. Go ahead, make excuses for Solange, "ghetto character " indeed. You forgot a critical thing; Beyonce was present. Very few men would beat up their wife's sister in her presence. very few!! An average guy gets physical in the middle of a heated argument by default (male or female); that doesn't make it right but that's truth. What he did was wrong; no doubt but the way she acted was equally wrong. They are both guilty. Solange assaulted Jay Z and she wasn't even reprimanded instead people concluded that Jay must have done something prior. If that is not double standards, please explain what is. You're also very wrong about naija men being able to stand verbal abuse just because some do it here on nl. Nl is not the real world. There's ample time to craft out a killer response. In the real world, the woman usually says about 20 words before the man can muffle a weak reply Last missile: There's a beast in every man and the "right" woman would bring it out. |
BluIvy: Am lost on what exact example you referring to here but let humour you.i guess verbal abuse is a myth to you simply because there are no visible scars. Plus You very well know that by default women are blessed with speech, men with fists. BTW, Solange assaulted Jay and nothing happened. What would you say about that ? |
MizMyColi: Honestly?BUT HE IS A TRAINED NFL ATHLETE. He hits for a living. Try rough play with any wwe\wwf wrestler, they'll definitely break your bone and say they were only joking (which would be true ) |
zeb04: yeh that's it.he fought back(he retaliated) he wasnt trying to defend himself. There are certain ways things shld be handled. No matter how we try to downplay it,he was wrong(she was wrong to) and they shld both face the consequence.BUT HE IS A TRAINED NFL ATHLETE. He hits for a living. Try rough play with any wwe\wwf wrestler, they'll definitely break your bone and say they were only joking (which would be true ) |
There are at least 500k grads yearly. 500,000* 4,000 = 2,000,000,000- TWO BILLION NAIRA RIGHT THERE AT THE VERY LEAST. It's foolish to say/think God would save us. We Have TO SAVE OURSELVES. |
knowledge and application of that knowledge is the key cedarlives.org is one place to learn |
In the last days, people would be lovers of self, seeking vain pleasures. We're just seeing a manifestation of the scriptures |
" I am told that years ago a boat was upset above the falls of Niagara, and two men were being carried down the current, when persons on the shore managed to float a rope out to them, which rope was seized by them both. One of them held fast to it and was safely drawn to the bank; but the other, seeing a great log come floating by, unwisely let go the rope and clung to the log, for it was the bigger thing of the two, and apparently better to cling to. Alas! the log with the man on it went right over the vast abyss, because there was no union between the log and the shore. The size of the log was no benefit to him who grasped it; it needed a connection with the shore to produce safety. So when a man trusts to his works, or to sacraments, or to anything of that sort, he will not be saved, because there is no junction between him and Christ; but faith, though it may seem to be like a slender cord, is in the hands of the great God on the shore side; infinite power pulls in the connecting line, and thus draws the man from destruction. Oh the blessedness of faith, because it unites us to God!" (All of Grace by Spurgeon) source: www.crodamilo. |
