The above statement was made by Jokotoye Oreoluwa popularly known as BigVai a Yoruba born actor who hails from Ogbomoso, one of the historical town in Yoruba land. The above statement was made today on a post by @instablog9ja on Instagram on the movement by Traditional Religion Council in Nigeria to have Nigeria government recognize August 20th as national holiday for traditional religion practitioners in Nigeria.

Big Vai didn't do himself any favor, he basically shot himself in the foot with his antics. Shortly after his statement was posted, it quickly generate reactions from several people who lashes out that the actor is a disgrace to the Yoruba film industry and he ought to know better.
Traditional religion practitioner in Nigeria and around the world have experienced and endure age long of abuse, stigmatization, marginalization and stereotype as the devils worshiper. The movie industry in Nigeria in particular have not helped matter, they are big part of the religion propaganda in the country. The constant display of Ifa priest as the evil doers and Christianity and Islam as savior in their movies is part of the big problem. The misinformation in the stories they produce knows no bound.

What happen to freedom of religion practice as part of fundamental human right?
What happen to religion tolerance?
What happens to we are all worshiping the same God?

It is however shameful and embarrassing to see a public figure like Bigvai make derogatory comment over a trivia matter that is sensitive to a large number of people in Nigeria and abroad. Big Vai as seen in the picture below posted the below picture on his Instagram which display "Omo Yoruba Atata" , a proud Yoruba child.


It is hypocritical of a so called proud Yoruba son be the same person to express such stereotypical comment about a spiritual system that is of Yoruba culture and practices.
Shortly after Big Vai saw that his comment have give rise to attacks from people. He retracted by saying he was only implying that there are evil doers in all religious sect as oppose to his first statement which was straight forward.


Nigeria celebrities need to be weary of their activities online and be conscious of the words they put out there. Most Importantly, they need to be held accountable for their actions at all time. Some celebrities seems to take their success for granted, they forget that social media is unpredictable. It can either be a tool or a weapon. Unfortunately Bigvai decided to use it as a weapon against the traditional religion practitioners in Nigeria.

We get on social media without thinking, forgetting that once the word is out there and the damage is done it can be unforgiving at times. Irrespective of your religion belief, you much show respect to others who practice differs. Nigeria as a country have witness wars and violence because of lack of religion tolerance. This is a spectacular mess for Bigvai.

Major turbulence seems to be the name of the game in 2016. Yet the current turbulence may be interpreted as the calm before the next, devastating geopolitical/financial storm. Let’s review the current state of play via the dilemmas afflicting the House of Saud, the EU and BRICS members Russia, Brazil and China.

Oil and the House of Saud

Not many people are familiar with the Baltic Dry Index. Yet the Index is key to track commodity demand. Two months ago, it was trading to all-time lows. Since then, it has increased over 130%. Precious metals prices have all moved higher in virtually all currencies. Why is this important? Because it tells us that faith in fiat currencies – the US dollar especially — is sharply declining.

The Baltic Index rise portends a rise in oil demand in Asia – especially China. Falling supply and rising demand for oil will likely drive up the price of the barrel of oil in the second half of 2016.

That does not mean that the House of Saud will win back the trust of both the US and Russia. Deep sources keep confirming that as far as Washington and Moscow are concerned, the House of Saud is expendable. Both are really energy independent (should the US want to be). Powerful Washington factions blatantly accuse Riyadh of “terror” – well, it’s way more complicated – while Moscow regards the House of Saud as following US orders to destroy Russia in an oil price war.

Ailing – on the way to dementia — King Salman and young Warrior Prince Mohammed would be finished if those famous 28 pages about 9/11 were released and the Saudi connection is incontrovertible. What next? Regime change. A CIA coup. A “trusted” Saudi military CIA asset elevated to power.

What’s left for the House of Saud is to play for time. High up in Riyadh the feeling is that relations with Washington won’t improve while Obama is president; the next president — whether Hillary or The Donald – will be a much better deal. So Plan A for now is to keep posing as essential to Washington in the “war on terra”; that means King Salman falling back on Mohammed bin Nayef, the Crown Prince, way more adept at it than the Warrior Prince, the conductor of the disastrous war on Yemen.

In parallel, Turkey’s Sultan Erdogan keeps advancing his play to take over oil in Iraqi Kurdistan, eventually diverting the whole supply to make Turkey energy independent – and thus a regional superpower.

Moreover, in Pipelineistan terms, Erdogan absolutely also needs the Qatar gas pipeline through Saudi Arabia and Syria to gain energy independence from Russia. That also happens to be a major US goal. And that also portends perennial trouble for the Syria peace process.

Erdogan already has the German superpower at his feet in the shape of a groveling, begging Chancellor Merkel. Were Turkey on its way to become an energy power, Merkel would prostrate herself on that Ankara palace golden ground non-stop. The CIA intimates as much, when it analyzes how Turkey will keep “expanding its influence” in Iraq through the militias they support, at the expense of Iraq’s security and political unity.

Andrew Bacevich’s America’s War for the Greater Middle East examines how Washington ruled that “military preponderance” across the Middle East should be the strategic objective in a war against the USSR — that was when Dr. Zbig “Grand Chessboard” Brzezinski reigned as geopolitical supremo. This was always supposed to be an endless war – now encompassing the “Greater Middle East” the neocons are so fond of.

Russia, Brazil and Hybrid War

Russia’s largest commodity exchange is actively courting international oil traders to join its emerging futures market. The goals are crystal clear; to disconnect the price-setting mechanism from the Brent oil benchmark and, crucially, to move away from the petrodollar. That also happens to be a key condition imposed by Beijing to the House of Saud for continuing to buy their oil.

As oil demand soars and supply contracts, Hybrid War practitioners across the spectrum will have to create a recession to keep the chaos going. A possible scenario is to let the embattled Italian banking system go down; that’s the next frontier in the EU.

Walking Dead Europe, meanwhile, subcontracted and/or externalized a policy of refugee repression, thus unleashing the largest mass deportation since WWII, complete with camps financed by EU taxpayers and managed by the Great Democrat Erdogan. The missing link is now in the open; everything is proceeding under control of NATO-linked think tanks.

As appalling as it may be, this is hardly new. It was already inbuilt in agreements that the EU imposes on African nations, “upgrading” their status to border Cerberuses. Michael Hudson, among others, has detailed how the EU never developed sustained mechanisms of transfer of capital from the wealthier economies towards poorer members.

Beijing is advancing on all fronts; spreading influence/commercial deals all across Eurasia, which the New Silk Roads will shape into a mass emporium; modernizing its military; buying strategic foreign assets; building up global trust in the yuan as a stable reserve currency; allowing Chinese elites to diversify their enormous wealth by buying foreign assets, from vineyards in Bordeaux to the odd football giant, such as AC Milan.

No wonder the astonishing spread of Chinese economic power has left assorted Exceptionalists – from neocons to neoliberalcons — totally deranged. Washington has absolutely nothing to offer to nations across Asia, Africa and Latin America – to the whole Global South for that matter. They have all seen how Beijing is not in the market demanding Mob-style compound interest on sovereign debt; “support” for neo-imperial moves by NATO or the UN; one more extra-territorial hub for the US Empire of Bases; or total domination of their central banks.

On the other hand, they have seen what Washington does offer; endless war; the progressive smashing of the nation state; democracy blasted to smithereens; and technocratic governance by the 0.00001%.

let me give you difference between a balistic missile and a cruise missile.

both of them are balistic just than one is guided and the other one is not guided. There are ways to guide a missile to the target. a balistic missile goes into the air and returns to the area of destination while a cruise missile may travel and makes several turns/bends to be delivered to its target.

A cruise or guided balistic missile is more accurate than non guided Balistic missile because here you have it being guided to the target.

And by the way, Shooting down a balistic missile is not new thing. Any balistic missile can be shut down and it does not matter what speed. it's now about turning off what is working with it, what is pushing it, or the vehicle carrying it or even the Boost-glide.

Evidence and argument that Ukraine army ballistic missiles launched against the Donbas have been shot down by Russian missile defense systems and that the launches are in reality a US directed ploy to test the effectiveness of the Russian systems.



There have been multiple reports of multiple SS ballistic missile launches against NAF-held areas of Eastern Ukraine since mid-July 2014. [1] [2] At least two such reports were accompanied by pictures of massive craters where the missile warheads were said to have detonated. [3] However, others have shown pictures of missile parts and even recognisable, near intact missiles. [4] The claim of this article is that the launching of these missiles - which in every case has been more or less towards the Russian border and close enough to make calculation of its target ambiguous and thus possibly well inside Russia itself - is a carefully calculated exercise, supervised by the US, to gather evidence about the capabilities and effectiveness of Russia's missile defense systems.


Wikispooks cannot vouch for the nature of the ultimate source of the article but, for sure, given the nature of the civil war in Ukraine, with the Junta military under the clear and obvious direction of the US with its vast number of US specialists ensconced in Kiev, it is the most plausible explanation of the deployment of these missiles and another indication - if any were needed - of the relentless aggressiveness of Anglo-US-NATO pressure on Russia.

Ukrainian Ballistic Missiles were Shot Down by the Russian Missile Defence System

The confusing story around the launching of ballistic missiles, most likely “Scarab B” (Tochka U) type, by the Ukrainian military is not as simple and innocent as it looks at first glance. In fact, it appears that the US has just tested the preparedness of the Russian Missile Defence System for real combat in regions adjacent to Donetsk and Lugansk.

Ballistic missiles are the most powerful weapon that the Ukrainian military has at its disposal, and also the most powerful weapon that has ever been used in modern armed conflicts. It is important to note that these missiles are capable of carrying nuclear warheads, and the Ukrainians, or rather the US military who are, in fact, in charge of the operation in Eastern Ukraine, knew exactly what they were doing.

There were reports of three separate launches of “Scarab B” missiles. Interestingly enough, mass media did not report any consequences on the ground that should’ve resulted from strikes by this powerful weapon. The explanation is simple – none of the missiles reached their targets and were destroyed in the air by missile defence systems. Another evidence supporting this is a large fragment of the missile (warhead just under 180 cm in size) found on the ground by militiamen. The missile fell apart in mid-air.

If the missile had reached its target, no fragments of that size would be left, and the warhead would’ve definitely been destroyed. Militia does not have Missile Defence systems, which means that the missile must have been shot down by the Russian forces. Especially considering the proximity of the area to the Russian border. The question of what was used to shoot these missiles out of the sky remains unanswered, and, most likely, will never be answered (classified information).

Another interesting fact is that it was the US news agency CNN that first aired the story about the “Scarab B” launches. Their report was based on information received directly from the Pentagon, which implies that the main intended recipient of the information was Russia. The US quickly assured everyone that the targets of the strikes were military installations of the militia (and not anything on Russian territory, God forbid), and later the Western media downplayed the information. The US Secretary of State John Kerry issued a statement calling for an immediate stop to all armed hostilities in Eastern Ukraine.

The most likely reason for this diplomatic turnaround was a conversation between Lavrov and Kerry that took place almost immediately after the information about missile launches became public. The conversation was initiated by the US side and, interestingly enough, it took several attempts to get the Russian Foreign Affairs minister to agree to hold the talks. During the conversation, Lavrov took the opportunity to issue a number of demands.
Currently both sides are sidestepping the topic. On one side it is alarming to learn that the US hawks are testing the Russian air defences, but on the other it is a relief to see that Russia has a reliable Missile Defence System.

Tiwa Salvage says she will always allow her estranged husband to have access to their son. As a Yoruba woman, she is totally in the wrong here. This is more so because the Yoruba people have three phases of marriage: the Introduction, the Engagement and the Registry, Church or Mosque Ceremony.

The most significant of the three stages is the engagement proper which is often conducted under the Yoruba Cutomary Marriage Act.
The Act states that the children of the union between a husband and a wife belong to the father and if the father dies, the children belong to his immediate family. Tiwa's husband has all the rights over their child, according to the Yoruba culture and tradition, which are laws in Yorubaland.

However, this tradition is not the same as those of the White in America or the English from the United Kingdom, where more often than not it is the wife who has the custody of the children. In Yorubaland, it is the father who has the custody. Tiwa, therefore has no right whatsoever over the child of her union with the husband. She is in Lagos, Yorubaland and not in New York or London.
I have done this post to educate the gullible Yoruba Youth who may have watched Tiwa's video. On reflection, I am, however disturbed on the mores and mishaps that increasingly afflict love and marriage among young Yorubas.

They talk solemnly and sincerely about working to make their marriage succeed, but they are very aware of the countless marriages they have seen fail.
