I have been to virtually everywhere in Nigeria. Pidgin is widely spoken and understood by a vast majority of Nigerians. Same cannot be said for Ebonics and Americans.

The team was rotating as Viduka preferred playing the top striker's role which was also Martin's preferred position, in few of Newcastle's matches Viduka was played on the left with Ameobi playing as a second striker to Martins.
In most games Martins was played as a lone striker in a 4-4-1-1 formation with Ameobi acting as the link between the midfield and attack since he holds the ball upfront better than Viduka.
That was same formation big Sam used at Bolton with Kevin Davies as the lone striker while Youri Jokaeff was the link between the midfield and the attack.

Shola has 55 goals in the EPL and 12 goals in UEFA competitions so far, he was injury prone and thats why he missed out on a call up to the three Lions after scoring 7 goals for the England under 21 team.

Stop deceiving yourself, Ameobi has only 51 goals in ALL competitions for Newcastle. Some of Ameobi's 51 goals include the goals scored when Newcastle was in division one, infact most of them. Emenike scored 21 goals for Spartak, 30 for Kabruspor, 4 for Fenerbahce. I didn't include the ones he scored in South Africa. Ideye scored 17 for Sochaux, 30 for Dynamo Kiev, 23 for Xamax, a total of 70 club goals so far. Both have more goals than Ameobi despite being new on the scene

They played a few matches together before Owen got injured. When Shearer hanged his boots, Owen strike partners (whenever he was fit) were either Viduka, Martins or Alan Smith. Even Albert Luque was ahead of Ameobi in the pecking order. There is no injury Ameobi was suffering form that other footballers haven't seen. Ameobi as consistently been out of the first team simply because he wasn't and still isn't good enough.

What is my business with England under 21? What the hell? Scoring one or two champions league goals now make him better than Emenike and Ideye? Both guys have champions league goals of their own, Emenike had a man of the match performance against Barca last season in the champions league. He has 55 goals in 13 years? Very poor record. Ameobi is bench prone, not injury prone, pathetic excuse.

You know nothing about football, do you just look at a player's height and conclude he is good aerially. I have told you that Ezekiel's headed goals of last season and this season are there to prove his aerial capabilty. Where is Ameobi's? Spending 13 years at a club and never being a first or even second choice doesn't show quality.

I started watching Emenike from his days in SA before moving to a second division team in Turkey where he was able to score 13 goals and was signed by Fernabache but had to moved to Russia because match fixing scandal, Emenike has only played top flight football for two years whereas Ameobi was already a regular for Newcastle at 19. Remember Newcastle was considered a bigger club than Arsenal and Chelsea back then, I cant even remember any Nigerian striker starting a match for any European team at 30 aside Kanu.

Can you tell me how he was better than Emenike and Ideye at 25?
Which English coach considered him for an England call up?
How exactly was he a Newcastle regular at 19?
