Arm chair critics will soon take over the thread. Nollywood actors, producers and directors have made our movie industry one of the best and most followed in Africa, what have you fools done for Nigeria?

akd jr: When the super eagle won the African Cup of Nation Mike Adenuga reward them as a team without giving only to the yoruba's inside, also Dangote did same... while bringing tribalism into national team Okorocha. I respect u so much and i will never disrespect u. pls do same to all.
Is Dangote a state Governor? Why not use other governors who rewarded super eagles players from their states as example.

Yeah I did it and this is what I saw.
Vicker was born to a Liberian Ghanaian mother and a Dutch father so where did you get your Lebanese part from? Mrs I know my country and my people.

icedbreez: I was appreciating this article until I saw who wrote it....psssss. Armchair critic and twitter celebrity Omojuwa... Makes money from criticism. Its a job 4him. #PaperChase.
Same with me o! When I saw the name at the bottom, I was just disappointed. I wished it was written by someone else. This is a guy that rides on the wave of public perception to drive traffic to his blog etc. Most of his criticisms are driven by his own selfish interest. I think we should just take the message and forget about the messenger.

yes and there is also the name in my language for the likes of you. You have just showed how silly you are. Go back to the person I quoted jigga man, he was talking abt Van Vicker and I replied to his response. You jumped in out of no where and brought in Majid Michael. Lol i see ASUU strikes are taking a toll on you. I have never been to my country yet that's where I live. You have left me speechless really
Royal^^Pearl^^:
Van vicker's mom is Ghanaian and Liberian and his dad is Lebanese
So can you remind me how Van Vicker's dad is Lebanese again? Mrs Ghanaian
CelebritiesRe: Pictures From Yvonne Nelson Birthday Beach Celebration In Ghana by sCun: 11:05pm On Nov 13, 2013
Jigga_man101: Van is Ghanaian, Liberian and Dutch. Hence the name van vicker, but claims Ghana. I think he needs to let people know his Liberian side a little
I wonder where she got the Lebanese part from. She is claiming she is Ghanaian and knows more about Ghana and the people more than I do bla bla bla. One of those who learn about their countries from the internet and end up mixing up things.
CelebritiesRe: Pictures From Yvonne Nelson Birthday Beach Celebration In Ghana by sCun: 11:00pm On Nov 13, 2013

Majid Michel is ghanaian and labenese. Please before you say rubbish. Google is free.
Van Vicker's dad is Dutch. The description you gave in the first post I quoted was that of Majeed instead of Vicker, so you got it wrong and for someone who say she is Ghanaian, it is a shame. There is something they call your likes in my language. I am sure you have never been to your country and you learn about it from the pages of the internet.

You don't even know the difference between Van Vicker and Majeed Michael and you claim to be Ghanaian.

Sagamite: What a professionally stuupid comment.

How does stating lack of interest in adopting homosexuality equal to a wish that your country remains the worst country on earth?

Is this one of those moronic assertions that acceptance of homosexuality is the metric of "progress", "civilisation" or "development"?

You can sell such stuupid arguments to fucktards like Scun, not me. Don't put such across again.

So because I like living in the UK, that means I have to support everything about the UK?

I have to even say I like the fact that kids slap their parents because I choose to live in the UK?
Can you stop mentioning my name please? Thank you

haibe: Their Airport (international) is better than our. Am not dodging anything.

their security, education, health sector, electricity is better than our..so there is no mediocre in developing to this extent.
Well I say their airport isn't better than ''ours'', their education and health sector isn't better than ''ours'', their security is better than ours because of the absence of terrorism, but armed robbery, kidnapping, assasination and the rest also happen there, electricity is only slightly better than ours and my ambition is definitely not to produce 2000MW.

TravelRe: The Shame Called Murtala Muhammed International Airport by sCun: 2:41pm On Nov 13, 2013
haibe: do you know we meaning of "in two years time we can AT LEAST be like ghana"?

In development process you are bound to reach a particular level, it could be a 1% development and yes it is an acheivement, you don't expect us to develop like U.S.A in two years time, it is almost impossible but we can reach the level of ghana in two years time, maybe south africa in 5 years time. Next time before you reply people you should read their posts with understanding

by the way, I don't buy the idea of labelling some countries as third world, what the whites say about us doesn't matter, even if we develop like them they won't still refer us as a developed nation.

I think you are the one having an inferiority complex here, the whites are not God to label us under developed or third world countries, we know we need to develop but its not their business.

btw going by your logic, ghana may be a third world country but it doesn't take away the fact they are better than us and so if we reach their level its an acheivement; no matter how little it is
So in what and what way do you want us to reach their level, can you elaborate? You tried to dodge the airport issue which is the crux of the matter here, which of the problems pointed out by the wiriter cannot be found in Kotoka international airport? If MMIA Lagos is too much of a disgrace for us, we have Nnamdi Azikiwe and other international airports to fall back to, which other one do they have? By your logic, in 2 years time we should be producing 2000MW of electricity like them.

TravelRe: The Shame Called Murtala Muhammed International Airport by sCun: 2:26pm On Nov 13, 2013
haibe: Explain how improving is tantamount to mediocre.
The country you want us to be like is a third world country by all international standards. The writer lamented the inabilty of Nigerians to strive for excellence, yet your ambition is for us to be like Ghana. Why not Norway, Sweden or even South Africa or Malaysia? By the way, you aren't the only one who has lived in Ghana, some of us know better.
TravelRe: The Shame Called Murtala Muhammed International Airport by sCun: 2:17pm On Nov 13, 2013
haibe: ghana is far better bro, if you have ever lived in ghana you would understand better.

If nigeria improves to the level of ghana tomorrow, I bet, you will praise that current leader because it will be an awesome acheivement.
Then you are one of the mediocre people the writer talked about. Simple!
TravelRe: The Shame Called Murtala Muhammed International Airport by sCun: 2:09pm On Nov 13, 2013
haibe: No bro, its just that I am not biased as you, I am objective. I have been to ghana and I know the economy is currently better than nigeria, there is nothing mediocre in stating a fact, just be sincered; Nigeria is currently in a poor shape.

or will you say countries like south africa, equitorial guinea, algeria.. are not better than nigeria? obviously they are and there is nothing wrong in stating that fact, it doesn't mean mediocre.

The problem with people like you is that you have "subjective patriotism". Face the fact bro, state the truth when you see it, you won't be killed for it.
Nigeria is in poor shape, and you want us to be like another country which is also in poor shape. I ask again, isn't that the mediocrity the writer was talking about?
TravelRe: The Shame Called Murtala Muhammed International Airport by sCun: 1:46pm On Nov 13, 2013
haibe: Its not as bad as MMA bro..don't you still get it, btw I was talking about ghana in general when I made that post, not just airport but every sector. the airport issue is still a small issue, have you been to general hospitals in nigeria? you will cry the way those sick poor people are treated.
You have no point. You are obviously one of those the writer was referring to in that bit about mediocrity and lack of excellence.
TravelRe: The Shame Called Murtala Muhammed International Airport by sCun: 1:41pm On Nov 13, 2013
PetroDolla2: Okay, let me ask you a small question, huh? have you been to the Accra airport personally. or are your assumptions about the airport based purely on this story you picked from the Internet?
I have been there and it is nothing to wirte home about
TravelRe: The Shame Called Murtala Muhammed International Airport by sCun: 1:36pm On Nov 13, 2013
haibe: it's possible you haven't gone out of the country before so I won't say much.

In general Ghana is currently better than nigeria unless if you want us to be biased, am proud of my country but I won't be deceiving myself, if nigeria is currently like ghana now, we will have less to talk about.

Well its obvious you are a kid seeing the way you replied my post, a matured person knows how to counter arguments politely.
What nonsense! You read an article that has the quote below
Even with all the money in the world, our
airports and our country will not work as long
as we do not have people who care about excellence. Caring about excellence means
knowing that Nigerians deserve the best all
the time. When we reserve the rights citizens
of other countries take for granted, upgrade
such to privileges for our citizens, we will
always miss the point of making things work. Nigerians deserve more but as long as we
have people – including the President –
dancing on national TV because a road
contract has been awarded, we’d always have
a situation where mediocrity will remain the
norm
you agreed with it whole heartedly, then went on to suggest we need a President that will make us like Ghana - another third world country, isn't that the mediocrity the writer was talking about? You asked me if I've ever travelled out, okay we are talking about Airports here, have you ever been to Ghana's Kotoka international airport? You probably go there by road. I have a lot to say about the airport, but it is better I show you what others think including Ghanaians themselves.
ACCRA KOTOKA AIRPORT customer review : 25 March 2013 by D Tan (Malaysia)
Rating : 3/10
Lack of air-conditioning facilities. Officers going through your bag after check in to "ensure" nothing illegal, definitely made my luggage messy after hours of arranging and packing at my hotel. Asking passengers of certain zone to board first, which all have to board the first bus, and other subsequent zone will board the 2nd bus. In the end, both buses arrived at the plane at the same time, making it crowded. If that is the case, what is the point of asking passengers of certain zone to board first? Totally disappointed with the staff/ officers in the airport.
