Blogging is fun but far from being as easy as many people claim. This is because it is almost an "everybody" thing. Google is more concerned with quality and originality than traffic. Of course you the publisher makes money from traffic. The competition is very high and very keen. It requires hard work and resilience. I speak from experience. If you are having fun like i am having, the hard work means nothing. I am not using conventional blogging sites. I run my own blog on my site and Google gave me adsense within two months of establishing my blog when i had under 10 visits per day to the site. |
Starting a business even as a student is the smartest thing a student can do in these hard times. Apart from making a little money on the side, you learn practical and invaluable business lessons. Here is my own experience which still helps me till today. I bought a dozen pack of St Micheal pants and came to school to sell them. My friends and room mates "rushed" them on credit to pay later. One week down the line none paid me. By the second week when they still didn't pay, my business went bust because i had no more capital to continue. Thanks but no thanks to my friends. Hard lesson which remains with me and now dictates how i do business with friends. |

There is plenty of room to make money online but Nigerian scams are almost ruining the whole thing. My advice is that people should be careful when dealing online but they can deal. Many of the businesses like the one we run on our site are legit and profitable. There are many more good ones out there. It is good to follow those who "know road" as Nigerians will say. |
I am of the view that without a change in our attitude to work and business, a change in the administration of our laws, a drastic reduction in crimes and criminality, a new Visa policy on its own will not, repeat will not bring about any significant increase in FDI. Ambassador Ashiru should be told this in very clear terms before he raises our hopes in vain once again. |
When did FRSC become a law maker? The legal driving age in Nigeria is 18 so what are they talking about? We have more problems with drunken drivers and drivers under the influence of other drugs than the age of drivers. That is what should engage the attention of FRSC. |
There is hardly any of those writers who will not tell you his own personal story of rags-to-riches. Robert Kiyosaki, Brian Tracy, Ken Hayashi and many others tell you their own personal stories. Keep reading books my friend. Your level of wealth and where you will be 5 years from now is directly dependent on the people you meet and the books you read. You can quote me on that. LBanks: I dont believe in your idea. For me personally those motivational books are what shifted my mentality from an employee mentality to an entrepreneur's mentality |
Shopping online is good, convenient and the in-thing now but everyone should beware. You can easily be scammed. Do your home work diligently by investigating the sellers very well. Reputation counts a great deal in the business. |
