Geniro: Don't be an idiot. A single carry over course can be waived by the dept. Zombie like you. Ignorant mofo. A core course cannot be waived. it's your useless Universities. Check the last two paragraphs here. The National Universities Commission (NUC), the body charged with the responsibility of monitoring the activities of universities in the country, has banned the conduct of re-sit examinations in Nigerian universities. The NUC, in a statement by its Chief Information Officer, Mrs Bukola Olatunji, in Abuja, on Wednesday, frowned on the discovery that some universities conduct supplementary examination for their students, in addition to regular semester examinations. The commission therefore warned that the conduct of such examinations was in violation of extant rules and regulations, and urged all universities involved to stop the practice henceforth or face sanction. In her words, “The attention of the NUC has been drawn to the fact that some universities conduct supplementary examination for their students, in addition to regular semester examinations… This contradicts the Course Credit System in operation in the Nigerian university system, which has no provision for re-sit or supplementary examinations. “For the avoidance of doubt, the Course Credit System provides that courses should be taken on semester basis and a course failed in one semester should be carried over to the following year and to be re-taken at the next available opportunity.” http://www.informationnigeria.org/2012/09/no-more-re-sit-exams-in-universities-nuc.htmlhttp://talkofnaija.com/news_details.aspx?NewsId=C7A372C3-A |

Why are you displaying your ignorance in the full glare of the public( A departmental course must be passed and if you fail OYO is your case. In OAU, you will repeat the course and that is an extra automatically if it happens in your final year. Some courses are even prerequisites in OAU, if you fail them even in part 1, 2 or 3 it is an automatic extra year. ACC 101 is a prerequisite for ACC 201. Olodo wey go mushroom Universitty. |

IJOBA2: IDIOTA SO ONE ELECTIVE IS GONNA STOP FINAL YEAR STUDENT FROM GRADUATING MUMUNI ALAO Olodo worldwide! In OAU, you must pass 12 units of electives before you graduate. Because of the fact that some people can't choose more than a certain number of units every session they will have to spill the electives across sessions and if by final year they haven't completed it then they must choose the remaining units of electives and PASS in all. People do have extras in OAU because of electives. |

FriendNG: I agree with you. Even if they did not condemned this act. I won't have problem with it. Afterall crisis happens everywhere. And what happen in Ife is also over let's move forget and forgive.
But the moment they resort to padding lies to cover it up I will definitely have problem. Imagine how FFK is cooking imaginary stories. And his sympathizers here on Nairaland are claiming victory and at the sametime crying victim.
That hypocrisy cannot. be tolerated. Olodo. How is FFK lying? When Hausas killed in Mile 12 they ran to the security agencies for protection and they were not arrested. We have learned our lesson. No more one Nigeria at our expense. Hausa kills, Hausa will be killed. Que sera sera. |

mulattoclaroo: in a core course and yet the school graduated him right? The senate doesn't have a case. There's currently a case happening tomorrow in Oghara between a former student and Western Delta University, Oghara, Delta State. The student graduated in 2014 and finished serving in 2015 and came back to collect his transcript in 2016 only to be told he was having 12 carryovers. Mind you this student was cleared by the department, faculty, exams and records and his result was approved by the senate as well. He was equally mobilised for service by the same university too. What would you say about? What if he bribed his way through? |

mulattoclaroo: And if he had a carryover so what? Did he forge his certificate? Did he buy it? Was he cleared by the university or not? Was he eventually issued a certificate or not by the same school? The senate should look for something else and stop being childish. They don't have a case. A carry-over in a core course and he go still graduate that year Haba Egbon please wake up |

omenkaLives: I have said it and will continue to say it, the Senate, currently constituted, can never work for the good of the people. All that crap about Ali wearing uniform at all cost is but just a smokescreen to conceal their real intent of edging him out of the office because of his dogged insistence of doing the right thing.
We always knew that once we scratch a little below the surface, the truth would come gushing out like blood out of a severed vein.
The free meals these guys are accustomed to aren't forth coming no more hence their frustrations with fellas like Ali and Magu.
It is incumbent on all well meaning Nigerians to lend their unalloyed support to those two. The Senate doesn't mean well for us, and discerning Nigerians can see right through their gimmicks. This is the result of the "I belong to nobody" stance of Buhari during the Senate President tussle. Buhari should carry his cross. What a disappointment! Ordinary legislooters are holding us to ransom. |

doctokwus: This guy is a dimwit! So a standing rule of the senate would supercede the constitution of the FRN which doesn't give a limit to d number of times a person can be represented for an office by d president for confirmation by the senate!! I don't blame him, they now feel they are dealing with a mentally incapacitated president who probably doesn't even know when somebody sneaks in to draft a letter on his behalf and signs it!! Or they may b dealing with a double faced president who not wanting Magu, knowing how good he is at d job,who cud dig one day and find out more dirt perpetuated by family and relations of the president & with overwhelming legal view now agreed that Magu can be represented as many times as possible,PMB and his antiMagu cabal, now boxed in a corner,av now dug up this standing rule from their asses to find d last reason to use to prevent Magu from becoming substantive EFCC chairman. This conspiracy to stop Magu may finally expose PMB for who he trully is,unless he sends back his name again for confirmation. While I don't regret following my conscience when I voted PMB, Sir, I have to admit this man called PMB is a barefacet Hypocrite. He doesn't want magu there he is only using dabaru tactics. I remembered how he played Tinubu during the tussle for Senate President. PMB is nothing but a bloody Hypocrite and a shameless supporter of corruption. He is corrupt and all this show off na ruse. This is a big disappointment. |
